What is your favorite poem?
Mine? The Raven, by Edgar Allen Poe.

Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening by Robert Frost. I love Poe's work as well.

I actually finished a poem a while ago. I can't find it. I'll post it later. ^-^

(P.S: I've watched "Dead Poet's Society" as well in Language Arts class.)

Here's a link:http://www.hbo.com/defpoetry/ I can't really explain it but many people express themselves here(some cuss BTW to express their feelings). Overall, it focuses on poetry and many who presented are really good.

Oh, that is the name of the TV show. That sounds like a cool show. Too bad I don't have Cable Television. I'd like to watch it.

There's a DVD for the first few seasons. Although we aren't suppose to watch stuff with cussing in school, my cool teacher found loopholes as long as it ties with the subject.^_^

Yeah, that happens more in High School, but it happened often in Junior High. I just get over the Language as long as the movie is appealing. I'll probably go out and puck up the first few seasons.

Thanks! We've been doing a LOT of poetry stuff in Pre-AP English lately.
Terse Verse, Haiku, Haikon, Diamente', Self-Describer, A Series of Lies, etc...

Not bad. I was never good at writing Poetry. It is a good read, though. I tried learning.

I finally found one of my poems.

The Song of the Autumn Breeze

Tender green leaves rustle
As a crisp breeze blows.
A slight chilling rush
Blows me back.
Through the mountains
A faint whisper
Calls out to me.
Yet another breeze
Stirs the silent leaves.
A soft melody
Echoes throughout my restless spirit.
The chilling wind sings its song.
The ballad
Disrupts my thoughts.
Calling me to the chorus
Of the autumn breeze.

Wrote this last year in 5th grade. This wasn't the original version. I can't find the original...
