So I must say, I really loved Team Rocket's anti-Kiteruguma plan throughout this arc, and the payoff for it with her finding the dummies, now stuttering their speech and generally sounding distorted from low battery, was absolutely perfect. The fact that the shot lingered on them for several seconds after Kiteruguma broke through the wall to go find her "kids" was just the icing on the cake. The fact that we almost, but not quite, heard one last SOONANSU before it cut to commercials was the further icing on the icing on the cake.

I hate that Pikachu forgot electro ball

I never liked Electro Ball, so Pikachu losing it in favor of Electro Web was a big plus for me. Later episodes show off how versatile it can be and it gives Pikachu good utility.

 

[Red and Blue]

Yeah Electro Ball was just another Special Electric type move. Not much different than Thunderbolt. Electro Web adds more creativity besides attacking things
