In Brightest Day, In Blackest Night ...
The fact people need to make up fake outrage when there is plenty of perfectly ripe outrage material speaks volume to their ability to project nonsense.Cuz he is a bully and ew.
As for the episode proper, it really would not be too out of place in AG. As its own episode, it's nothing too special to write home about.
Absol is a pretty popular pokemon. People want Ash to catch it. When reality doesn't line up with their novel-length fanfic, they need to take their outrage on something or someone. If it's another character, they will take it out on another character. If it is a writer, ahem, XY fans post-league, then they'll take it out on them. Hell, I remember a story in Taiwan where people flat out tried to kill fan artists over stupid outrage.Either way, I don't see where this outrage in Gou catching Absol is coming from. I mean it's fine to complain, but is it really as big of a deal as people seem to be making it?
