The dumbest thing you did when you were new to pokemon

Went straight to the SS Anne captain without exploring the rest of the ship.
Thought that the games were based on the anime.
Overlevelled my Pokemon for all Gym Leaders.

Well in Pokemon Yellow I kept on trying to go to the gym In Veridian City for 2 days. Finally I saw the road that goes out of the city! That was a stupid move.

I killed kyoger in sapphire and saved. wasted my masterball on a luv disc. Thought that every water pokemon knew surf and as soon as i caught one i could surf and it never happened :[. I didn't let my torchic evolve until level 52 because i was afraid it would fly away from me. MOST RECENT: leveled up a male combee to level 46 hoping it would learn more moves or TMs. xD so im still a noob at heart although i have played since i was 8.

I trusted people around my cards--lost half of my base set holofoils that way to theives.

I thought the nuber at the bottom was rarity in the st not set number.

I had this OWNAGE team in Pokemon Ruby or Sapphire(I think it was Sapphire) and I let this GENIUS play it. He started a new game and saved.

when i was new i sat at the computers in the pokemon centres continuously switching box cuz i thought it was a guessing game. i thought you had to choose a box and try to guess what box the game would choose. but i always got it wrong (cuz it always said whatever box iguessed, but it said Box No. 5 which i didn't know meant number, but hey, whatever) =p

i used a masterball on a meowth in blue and i wasted 40 ultraballs on giovanni's pokemon trying to steal them cuz team rocket steals pokemon and i reseted the game with a level 75 venasur because i couldnt find my way out of rock tunnel because my flash pokemon was in the box

When I was new to Pokemon my friend let me borrow his Ruby. I found Latios but I thought it was some random wild Pokemon, so I defeated it and saved.

Lol, the dumbest thing I ever did was believe that a friend of mine caught Mew in Blue by throwing his gameboy at the sky and god caught it for him. Though, I still don't know how he did that.

I have two dumbest things that I've ever done in a Pokemon game:

1) In Yellow, I defeated Zapdos, and then saved. (Then again, I was pretty young at the time, so I guess that was excusable).

2) Letting my older sister touch my Sapphire Version. She thought that you could have multiple save files, so she started a new game and SAVED. Bye bye, random encounter shiny Walrein...

Not really new but in Pokemon Ruby the night I got it when I got to the route after Slateport City, where the cycling road is, I didnt know that you could go under the bridge.

I was literally stuck there for about 3 days until I accidentally went under it lol

used a masterball on moltres in yellow later lost to the first person in the elite four
when my parents said they got me a pokemon for my b-day i was so happy later found out it was a dumb bike
recently saw a shiny skarmary and said look it a shiny (at least i caught it, i would hav killed myself if i didn't)
what my friend did that was stupid
forgot his pokemon game was in his pocket when he went swimming(drowning pokemon XD)
he gave me a red gyrados card (i still hav)

The only one I can recall at the top of my head is, in Blue, throwing two Ultra Balls (that's all I had) at Moltres without even wittling down its HP, and when that didn't work, running and saving...I was young, so, yeah...

Oh, and in Ruby, I didn't get the master ball. I didn't know where it was!

The dumbest thing that I have ever done in any Pokemon game? Heh, where do I start?

I guess I could say that a few years ago, at some kind of Birthday party for one of my younger relatives, my cousin let another one of my cousins play his Fire Red. (I really have no clue, that was just a guess)

My cousin who lent the Game had a good team. One that he didn't want to lose. What did the other Cousin do? Start a new game. But here's the kicker: He didn't save.

Moral of the story: Never, EVER let anybody that you don't completely, 100% trust with every fiber in your being play well, any Pokemon game that you have, because they don't know what you have. You worked long and hard for that Gold-plated team, and you should let the player know that, if they don't know already.

I spoke to Prof.Birch 100 times, then exited the lab and went back in and spoke to his assistant who was, according to my friend, going to give me a mew -_-

I used Rock-Smash on Regirock's big tomb thingy 500 times so that I could get inside...I never did

...I always fell for these silly made up cheats when I was new to Pokemon X_x

Leveled a sableye until level 55+ hoping it would evolve to Claydol( I didn't know every pokemon in the RSE pokedex back then!). And a long time ago in GSC games i wasted my masterball on a Dophan, cos I accidentally threw it. D'OH!

When I was 8 I thought pokemon were real, my Classmate teased me saying that he got a robot butterfree which could make him sleep well by throwing Sleep powder @ him. I actually believed him! OMG my I.Q must be so darn low!
