It is fair becuase all that shows is that Al Gore won some of the more populated areas. Infact the 00 election shows exactly why we need a Electoral College. Al Gore won the popular vote, but the popular vote can easily be won by appealing to key areas of the country. Al Gore in turn did not win the will of the nation. If he had he would have won the Electorial vote also

I absolutely agree with this. If anything the 00 election showed us why we need an E.C. Gore lost in Florida..so therefore he lost the election...He won other heavily populated areas by landslides....which is why we won the popular vote.
