Hi. I would like to join this club. I love making up my own pokemon and even started working on my own pokedex before I realized it was soooooo time consuming and work got too busy to finish it.
As per the rules I'd like to create a fake pokemon. This was one of the starters I had for my pokedex and the only one I could draw and it still looked like a pokemon. I've changed it a little bit since I started it so that it might not work as a starter anymore.
#7: Bubsquid (WATER TYPE) The bubble squid pokemon: Bubsquid are born on the shore and only join their family when the tide rolls in or when it starts to rain. It has a tendency to cause it to rain when it cries
Description - The Bubsquid is a mixture of blues both aqua and dark blue to help it blend in with the water. Like a lot of water pokemon it has a red spot on its back which almost looks like a gem. It has six tentacles that it uses for moving on land or swimming through the water. Its head is a rounded triangle with the point at the top. The ridges of its head are a light blue while the face looks as though it's wearing a dark blue mask with room for the eyes on the light blue background. Its mouth is the only thing that makes you realize it's not wearing a mask because when it smiles its mouth is in the dark blue part of its body.
Ability - Bubble Burst - Whenever this pokemon is damaged by an attack or status condition it has a 30% chance to make it start raining.
Starting Moves:
1. Wrap
2. Tail Whip (using its tentacles)
Evolves into: Maelkin
#8: Maelken (WATER FIGHTING TYPE) The Maelstrom Kraken pokemon: As the evolved form of Bubsquid, Maelken also has a propensity to make it rain. However, unlike its pre-evolved state, Maelken is a ferocious fighter and very protective of its young.
Ability: Bubble Burst - Whenever this pokemon is damaged by an attack or status condition it has a 30% chance to make it start raining.
Because it's a water fighting pokemon it specializes in physical fighting and physical water moves. It also can use tentacle/vine based moves because it's starting to take on a more kraken like appearance with a longer head and now has long straps of seaweed intermingled with its six legs. It has a new fighting version of wrap that's a little stronger called:
Grapple: The pokemon wraps the foe up with strong arms/tentacles to allow physical attacks to do more damage, be more accurate and prevent the foe from retreating. Not an attack but sets up the next attack. Also makes the user more vulnerable.
Grapple: PP - 15, Accuracy 80. Effect: Raises user's physical attack accuracy and attack power each by 1 stage. Lowers targets defense by 1 stage and prevents retreat for 2 turns (including this one)
Water Style - A physical water move based on tentacles spinning really fast to create a vortex then shooting the user at the target for copious damage. Breaks through barriers like Light Screen and Reflect.
Water Style - Water - PP 15 - Power 90 - Accuracy 85 - Destroys barriers such as REFLECT and causes damage
Maelken learns this move at level 38 but evolves into Kraking at level 34.
I don't have a lot of time for this last one but I'll give the description.
#9: Kraking - (WATER FIGHTING TYPE) The Kraken King pokemon. Time spent training as a Maelken has prepared the Kraking to rule one of the seas in the world. It rivals Empoleon and Kingdra in nobility and as such stakes claim over one of the worlds 9 oceans.
(See in my "world" all the different seas are ruled by a regal water pokemon including Kraking, Empoleon, Kingdra, Slowking, and some more I'd like to create. They're of course bound to honor pokemon like Kyogre but these rule their own seas in a different way. Slowking for instance only presides over a small body of water but he's a really shrewd ruler. Kraking however rules over a large body of water and does so by competitions to prove he's the strongest)
I'd like to expound on that a bit more to try to come up with more pokemon that could have a royalty title in its name (and be a water pokemon without, excuse the pun, flooding the format with more water types than there already are. The best way to do that would be to create evolutions of, excuse the pun again, current water pokemon)
Right now we have Kings and Queens and Emperors and Princes. We've got "Honchos" and the like but I think for these water pokemon I'd like some more titles. But...that's if I get accepted ^_^. I'll post a fakemon thread though to keep fleshing out these ideas. Where would I do that?
Hope you guys accept me
