CATERPIE. Yes back in g/s/c when I first played the Pokemon games the Pokemon I caught first was a catetpie that after it became a butterfree it was the second strongest member of my party, yes lv. 100
Butterfree pwnd back then as much as it does now.

Although I've seen the anime since the very first episode, I didn't play the games until Generation II came out. In Silver and Crystal, my first Pokémon that I caught was a Pidgey. Awesome times, indeed!

Good question. I foolishly restarted my first ruby game, and all my original pokes were lost forever. It was really stupid of me since that game was also the closest I ever came to completing my pokedex (I was 14 away, IIRC)

Wow y'know what, I honestly dont remember clearly what Pokemon I caught first but it was definately in Yellow and was probably a Pidgey.

Mine was in Heartgold (I know, a little late) and it was a Pidgey. I kept it the whole game....

mine was a wurmple.. ironicly enough my first shiny was a wurmple though. don't know where that went, though...
that gave me an idea for a challenge though. picking the water type starter, never catch any pokemon until the legend. that'd be hard cus hed have to be an HM slave (rock smash, strength, surf, waterfall) but it'd work. xD maybe.

During the 1st and 2nd generation I didn't have the games (my brother did) so I would just watch him, and collect the cards and watch the anime. (of course I did go back and play the old games though.)

Sent my first Pidgeot to Platinum. Later, my Platinum mysteriously vanished when I visited the local Library. :/

I lost every last one of my original pokemon. I really loved some of them, and started screaming in frustration when I realized it was gone.

I wish I still had it.

Yeah I still have my first ever caught pokemon Pidgey now a Pidgeot. Right now its on my Pokemon Black game ^_^
