The Fish Thread:Because You Don't Have to Walk a Fish

Who here has a fish? I have a betta. He's blue and crowntail. I named him Skyler after Skyler Gordy(SkyBlu)of LMFAO just because. What? My mom wanted to name him Bruno Mars.....
Skyler is so funny. I bought him yesterday so he's never eaten in his life. So when I fed him it took several minutes to notice the food and when he did he kept coughing it back up. XD
I'm also getting an aquarium at the end of the month so I'll update.
Please share! :)

I bought a gold fish once. I thought it wanted it's belly rubbed but oops, guess that means they're dead.

^I had a goldfish once but when we were seperated it didn't die, instead it was gonna be the last thing we moved when we got our new house, but the effing people helping us threw it away. Yeah.

love at first sting
My family used to have gold fish. They lived for maybe 6 years at most but supposedly they can live much longer than that.
I'd rather have something I can interact with. My current pets are rats. They're extremely affectionate little animals.

The first time I went fishing, man....

I was with my dad, and he said he would be right back. I asked him 'what if I catch a fish while you're gone' and he said 'you probably won't'

then, a fish tugged on the line. somehow, my line got all tangled and I had to run up a hill just to get the fish out of the water.

also I would rather eat fish than have them as pets because they're more tasty than interesting to look at.

Not a tool
My brother has these fish, but he takes bad care of them. They're all algae eaters because he wanted an aquarium that could sustain itself. But instead the water just turns yellow and the water level gets really low sometimes, which would be okay except that he never refills it.

Dangit. I thought this thread was going to be about fishing. :(

I was going to post all kinds of things.

I love fish, and have a nice aquarium, and have tried it before, but its a lot of work to do it right and I just don't have the time.

We had a lot of fish for some reason. It all started with a Lionhead and a Calico Fantail goldfish, and we ended up getting tetras, and platies (in which the two platies we got ended up being a female and male, and thus we had baby fish for a long time). I had never known until then that there are some fish that give live birth.

Eventually, all the fish died (the platies had death by sex, you can say), and we only have a Common Plecos by the name of Big Al. He's called "Big" Al for a reason.

I was a little confused by the thread title for a second. I didn't take it seriously, so I didn't think it was actually going to be about fish.

Regardless of pointless sentences, I used to have pet fish. I don't remember any of their names, but they were awesome.

For a little while, I also used to have triops, which were the greatest pets that I never had to walk. I named them after Yu-Gi-Oh! monsters.

I no longer have an example of either specimen because they all died. As a result, I disposed of the containment units that each species was kept in.

I hope to have a pet turtle someday. When that day arrives, I'll name him Carracosta. Not a fish, but still awesome.

I used to have a goldfish. Then my aunt unplugged the filter while we were on vacation for a week because she thought the water was boiling and the fish died. Now I have no fish. Oh well.
