The Form We Take
The tale of those who seek to be free

RPG by LadyMyuu
Rating: PG-13 +

And so it was finished,
the surviving legends were placed near each other in the lands of kanto or johto
knowing that spreading them to far apart may cause more harm then good.

Each legend was giving ability,
a small power, to remind them of who they once were.
To allow them to remember and never forget they were once holy beings over man.

To never allow themselves to believe they are only humans.
To forget would be a sin.
Never forget who they once were, never forget.
Never.

For they are better.

~ ooc: (Note that Brent my Mewtwo boy is based off the pokemon games and was born from a mew and not cloned. Mew is the only legend that had two of a species left… now just one) ~

It was the worst of times and the best of times… or something like that… ok it’s not very good right now…. The purple haired young man thought as he sat there, on the bench, for another hour it felt. His arms crossed and looking like the next person to walk by was going to get a very harsh pounding.

The young man sat in the protected park beside levander, it was small but one was not allowed to battle or train here. It was a good place to hang out for Brent as well, few people rarely came here.

Brent glanced up at the clock and narrowed his eyes, she was late, again. His sister had left to get them some food and nearly two hours ago. He would have gone but she insisted on going by herself.

Brent regretted this. His sister was adapting to human life far faster then he and who knew what kind of trouble she was getting into. She was an ‘attractive’ girl (though he didn’t see why) and he hated the way any stupid human male looked at her.

His black eye count was all ready up to fifteen in a week since being human.

If Brent could he would be swinging his tail back and forth if he had one, it was something he did when annoyed or agitated. Instead he just clapped his fingers against the side of the bench as he waited.

And waited.

And waited some more.

“Dratit Lila!” he growled jumping to his feet and startling the only other person around, some trainer who was talking with her Ratatta.

Brent mumbled an apology as he glanced around hoping for his sibling to show up. Well they were not really related as he was born from a different mew, Stupid scientist and there stupid experiment.

Just then as Brent the once Mewtwo was starting to fume a loud “BOO” erupted behind him and sent the purple haired boy flying forward onto his face in shock. Pushing himself onto his knees then onto his feet he glared at his pink haired sister.

Lila giggled as she put her arms behind her back and grinned as her brother gave her a rather harsh glare.

“What took you so long?” he growled as he dusted himself. Lila rolled her eyes as she held out the brown bag of some fast food restaurants high in fat substence. Brent grabbed it and stuffed the fries into his mouth. He had to admit while humans were pathetic and stupid they sure knew how to make something taste good, though if it was really food he was still unsure.

“Well?” he said after swallowing.

“I got sidetracked at the mart. See I was talking-“L ila winced as she saw her brother nearly turn scarlet.

“You talked? With who? A human boy? Mew. I told you if you had to go alone…”

“....That I shouldn’t talk to anyone. You really need to relax a little Brent. It’s ok for me to talk to them. And call me Lila”

Brent ignored this, he had a hard time ajdusting to human names. He still barely answered to Brent.

“But… but there humans! Not just humans but pathetic human males who just want to touch you!” growled the over protective brother.

Lila turned a little red as she glared “Not so loud brother dearest.” she grumbled as the trainer seemed to have relocated from shock as she was rather disturbed by the odd conversation.

“Lets just go.” Brent grumbled as he started walking, “How much money do we have left?”

“Another days worth of food not including the travel cost.” she said, the two had figured out that they needed money to survive in the human world. Though not really understand how it works they know if you exchange a certain amount for something you get something in return.

Gaining money was hard at first though Lila had a knack at it. She had some of the best puppy dog eyes in the city. The two began walking as Brent dug his hands into his pockets as Lila walked with almost a skip to her step.

“So pretty out here, I remember when most of the world was covered in forests. It was so pretty then.” She commented as Brent shrugged, he wasn’t as near as old as his sister. He knew that his mother was around her age and tactically they were siblings and that would make Lila his aunt. But Brent never called her that, he had been around her ever since his mother vanished and grew up knowing her as a sister more then an aunt.

Lila glanced around again as she walked beside her grumpy brother, the short young woman grinned a little “So now what?”

“I’m going to get a hold of some money.” he grumbled.

“Let me handle that.” Lila replied as she was now looking around for a victim of her deadly puppy dog eyes.

“No, last time you about got dragged of by some pervert. I’ll uh… get a job.”

Lila gasped “Brent? My brother? Get a lowly human job? Say it isn’t so!” she said with her voice drenching with sarcasm.

“I hate you.” Brent grumbled.

“Hugs and kisses.”

The Mewtwo human squawked as he was tackled by his large busted sibling.

Pretty simple, introduce your character. And yes I did reuse the same thing last time (miner edits though)

Your character will be in one of hte cities all ready provided in the help thread in the cafe. Side plots are listed there that will be used on some characters. Some of you have discuessed who you would like to meet ect. Remember that you may want to be a leader as they will be able to provide your legendry self with more info on how to survive.

Side plots will actually start happening on your second post, cuz we wanna jump right into it don't we? watch out for baddies o.o'; they spawn!

note: secondary characters will not apear until we reach page *two* though since people can adjsut that setting I will just announce when you can have your second character. Enjoy.

Lily

Not a very good post. x.x And yes, she's making a reference to Latios.

Lyrical, silvery, a perfect harmony between prose and empathy - truly a divine choral of lilting, sweet tones of phraseology... the girl trailed off, whispering the beautiful words flowing off her lips, relishing the multiple meanings hidden within a single piece of paper. A newspaper, to be exact. Parts of it were too shredded to be considered legible, but the book reviews Kairyu could distinguish...She giggled slightly; the words were so pretty to say!

She took on the form of a teenager, no older than fifteen, with a cherubic, innocent face. It must've been odd for Goldenrod pedestrians to spot this young girl bending down every half a minute to pick up old newspaper clippings, reading it outloud to her heart's content. Kairyu couldn't help it; it was fascinating how humans communicated with each other, through these foreign characters of letters. She had first been elated to find out she was capable of both human speech and various forms of literacy.

Another one!... She, again, giggled inwardly, skipping off to catch the bit of paper flying with the wind's current. Her hands tightly clenched the sheet, pulling it towards her quickly.

Missing child, she read slowly, trying to digest its meaning, a boy of fifteen, son of a widow, brother of one sister... Kairyu stopped reading. This feeling within her - what was it? It was the same loneliness that all creatures, humans and Pokemon alike, felt when poignant sentiments touched them. It was a bitterly harsh feeling the Latias disliked..too painful for reality, too excessive for creatures.

Brother.. she trailed off, looking at the brilliance of the golden colors splayed on the buildings, marveling at their impeccable structure. The newspaper slowly but surely drifted out of her hand, riding with the wind, until it was nothing more than a leaf fluttering out of some person's courtyard, caught between the beauty of gold and words.

Kairyu sighed, before retaining her smile, searching for more.

Raine: Kyogre

Raine was staggeringly drunk.

She was an utter mess. Her long blue hair shot through with bright red streaks was in disarray, her clothes were wrinkled, and her golden eyes had a glazed quality to them. One of her shoes had gone missing, although she wasn’t sure how that had happened.

It wasn’t the first time she was drunk, of course. Everyone in the grimy Saffron bar was drinking copiously, but for an entirely different reason. They drank to drown their sorrows. Raine drank because she enjoyed the buzz it gave her, and fascinating conversations always followed. Humans had a surprising amount of interesting things to say when they were stone-cold drunk.

She had managed to chug down more than five full bottles of beer at a time, delighting in the way they fizzed on her tongue and burned her throat. She hadn’t meant to do that, of course. She had simply been staring into her empty glass, and then ordered another drink. And another. And so on and on. At the moment, she was feeling as though someone had slugged her brains out with a huge golden sugar cube wrapped in barbed wire.

Raine spun around on her bar stool, grinning widely--the wide, too-toothy grin was, ironcially enough, an echo of her former body as the Rain Goddess. Sure, maybe it was awkward being a human and all, but who cared?

The bar was full of sensations--it stank of cigarette smoke, sweat, and bad breath, and thundered with the clink of beer steins and too-loud conversation, and tasted of human despair and stupid joy. It was as though she were floating in the sea again, listening to the roar of life and the conversation of the fishes.

It was as close to being in the free-falling sensation of the ocean as she could get while being in human form. The ebb and flow of life, at its best and worst.

Raine's smile did not falter as she slammed her open palm on the counter.

"Bartender! One more drink, please!"

Zakariah: Moltres

The Skitty was happy. Life was good. Sitting, purring in front of the heater truly was pure bliss. Quiet reigned, and peace filled the small, pink cat.

"WHY YOU SON OF A-"

The roar of fury nearly made the Skitty jump out of her skin. It came from the neighbours. Again! Why were they so loud? Disrupting her sleep, the cads! The cat fluffed her fur and settled down again.

Life was good.

Zak flung his cards across the table at the smirking Magmar.

"You bastard! How the hell do you keep on winning!?"

"It's called skill, my friend. Pure, unadultered skill. And let's face it, you poker face sucks baaaaad."

The man spitefully glared at the perfect, matching set of cards sitting in the fire pokemon's palm. "I hate these pathetic human games!"

"Well, that's what humans tend to play, genius. Now you owe me twenty big ones. Come on, pay up!" The Magmar slapped the wooden table energetically.

Zak swore again, and angrily hurled a crumpled twenty-dollar note at the Magmar's grinning face. "If I was in my true form, I would smite you for your insolence, bird brain!"

"Look who's talking, O holy BIRD of fire! And anyway, you ain't in your uber special spontaneuosly combusting pidgeon form, so I can be as rude as I like without any fear of consequences." The Magmar tucked the note into one of his wrist cuffs.

"You truly are one of the most contemptable pokemon I've ever met, Quessen."

"Takes one to know one, Zakky boy."

The former titan of fire glared at his sneering roomie, then rolled his bright red eyes. "I quit. You are bloody impossible."

"Yet you tolerate me. I am so honoured!" Quessen pretended to wipe away a tear. Zak snarled, and stood up, looking at the clock stuck lopsided in the wall.

"Aw crap, 9:00 pm!"

"Why, got someone to meet? Doubtful."

"I was supposed to go to that goddamn building that gives out food to get dinner. But it'll be shut now, dammit!" Another string of curses.

"Word to the wise: grocery stores don't give out food, you have to pay for it."

Zak raised his eyebrows. "Really? First I've heard of it."

"Please don't tell me you have been stealing from that shop for the past week."

"I prefer to call it 'borrowing it without permission'." The ex-legendary replied, grinning darkly. Quessen rolled his eyes.

"You are impossible sometimes, Zakariah."

"Must be why we get on so well, Quessen."

"...Damn you."

"And you."

Catherine: Articuno

There wasn't much to say about humans.

At least, not from Catherine.

The golden-blonde girl, complete with blue highlights, took a sip from the soda can that she was drinking from. She was sitting on a bench, located in the rather quiet and less-crowded city of what was Azeala Town, somewhere in the region of Johto. The cold, fizzing liquid that ran down her throat was comforting to herself, as she liked anything cold. After all, she was the Titan of Ice...

...Or formerly, if you really think about it.

She had once been a beautiful bird, her blue feathers shimmering with an icy aura and her ribbon-like tail fluttering behind her. But now, she had to be a sulky, cold-hearted, quiet teenager who pretty much hated humans for what they had in their selfish acts.

But already, another strange thought crossed her mind; within a week, she actually was learning more about surviving as a human, which was suprising to her. Another girl, close to the age that Catherine's apperance matched, had found her wandering in the streets, and because this stranger had nothing to survive, the girl had allowed Catherine to stay at her place for a while. Then again, it wasn't much really; it only had a couch, a small kitchen set, a bathroom, and two beds. But Catherine was told from the girl (who she found out was named Kendall) that she had a job, so everyday she can home bringing in green pieces of paper that humans called "money". It was the usage of these sheets of small, even paper that humans could live, so Catherine had managed to snatch one for herself and after much difficulty, got the soda can that she had in her hand now.

Still, for reasons unknown, the Legendary Bird of Ice's human form disliked the money, because she have seen people attempting to take money from each other; "muggers", they were called. The empty can in Catherine's hand began to crumble as her hand curled to a fist, crushing the can within her fingers. Grunting in disgust, she tossed the can aside, leaving it at the sidewalk that sat beside her. Getting up, the girl sighed; as human, she was vulnerable to any attempts of conflict against her.

If only she had her powers...

"Hiya again!" A cheerful voice sprang behind her, and Catherine could've probably flew straight in the air if she didn't recognize the voice.

Kendall...She bitterly thought of the name as she turned to look at her roommate, who was carrying a bag with her hands. The brown-haired girl smiled, her emerald-green eyes sparkling with happiness that Catherine couldn't reflect back.

"Look, it's getting late in here, so we better go back inside," Kendall said, jerking a thumb back to their place, which was at the other end of the street. "I mean, I hate the coldness that the darkness brings, and shadows really creep me up..." She added in a innocent tone, shaking slightly as if it was cold.

Catherine sighed and began to follow the girl. What the girl said was contrast to what Catherine was thinking; she loved the cold, and it was exciting to be in the shadows of her former home, back in Kanto. But still, with low-lives around, she had pretty much no choice where else to go.

"You know..." Kendall trailed off, glancing back at her companion. "You never really told me your name, unless you're mute or something."

Strange enough, Catherine found this amusing; and so, maybe because just to get a little more amusement, she said in a cold but soft voice, "Name's Catherine."

Kendall's eyebrows raised from the sound she heard; it was foreign about the accent this girl had, but still, her roommate did speak English after all. "Well, Catherine, I'm glad to see that you can talk. Maybe you should get a job or something."

Catherine only smirked, and shook her head as she passed her low-life companion as she closed in into her house, not wanting to continue the small conversation.

OOC: Changing location... *points to discussion*

BIC: Linden strode down the isles of the shop, looking for something. He was looking down, thinking about his new life. It had been incredibly odd to adapt to this human world, where one could not fly away if they needed to be alone, where one couldn't find those they loved...

He tried to shake these things from his mind. Forgetting seemed lovely, but... why would one forget the things they knew? No, Linden had decided he would live as a human still knowing who he was.

The former Latios passed isles of food without interest, other than the fact that he was hungry. He walked by the isles and isles of Pokémon-raising supplies in disgust. Never would he raise Pokémon except as a very last resort.

Finally, Linden found what he was looking for in his boredom. Leaning against the wall where the small tester headphones hung, he grabbed one and put it on. It was suprising how nice tastes in music humans had...

The Compromise
A harsh wind dived upon the mucky buildings of Celadon, weaving to and fro around its winding streets and streaming into the small courtyard at its center. It nudged a small figure that was leaning on the cleanest wall he could find, yellow-green eyes lit with a mysterious light as he examined the cul-de-sac's houses in search of a place to stay. He sighed heavily, the wind ruffling his dark hair affectionately, as if it recognized him. He frowned and shook his head a little, as if to deter it, but the wind just blew harder, taunting him. Growling slightly he jammed his hat on his head and marched to the nearest building.

Lucas had managed to find shelter during the previous week or so in a deplicated house at the edges of the city. At least, he had until a suspicious neighbour had reported him to the city's police force. They might have been completely incompetant at stopping the major crime spree in the city, but unfortunately, turfing homeless people out of their only shelter was their specialty. If he was able too, he would tear them to pieces with his bare hands. But he was different now. A weak, cowardly human, a specie he loathed. How dare Ho-oh do this to him! His eyes flashed as he drew to a halt under the eaves of the building. Ho-oh knew full well how much he despised the human race, and remembered how many attempts he had made to exterminate this plague. Who had stopped him then? Ho-oh. Why stick him in the middle of this now?

A piece of hair became dislodged by the wind and fell into his eyes. He pushed it away angrily, looking up at a sign that swung in the approaching gale. Time was that he would be dancing in the center of it, encouraging it, singing with it. He glared at the sign, squinting slightly to read it. The... Smiling... Miltank? What a pathetic name. As stupid as the people who owned it, most probably. The small hairs on his arms began to stand on end, crackling slightly with the collecting static electricity. He needed to get inside, and soon, before the heavens decided to open on him. He pushed his doubts aside and stepped up to the door, opening slightly.

Multicolored light poured out, joined by the drunken babble of the pubs regulars. He groaned, opening the door wider. The interior was, if possible, worse than the outside of the building. The walls were covered with spilt beer and grafiti, the floor slick with it and glistening in the dirty light of a swaying chandalier which had seen better days. Tables were aranged hap-hazardly, chairs knocked over or wobbling precariousely on their three remaining feet. Lucas grimaced and took a step forward, fixing his eyes on the distant counter and trying to ignore the brawl that was going on around him. In here was better than out there, for his fragile human body was unsuited to the cold. He growled. He hated this. He hated himself as he was, he hated the world about him. He was alone.

It was not the same pain as before. Before he lived in solitude, the last of his kind, but he was not alone. He was with the other legendaries, and the same thing had happened to them, and, although he dared not show it, just knowing they were there comforted him. He never let on this feeling, of course. But now he was stranded, he had no clue where the others were. Different from all other humans, and isolated because of it. He was afraid, although he hated to admit it. He ducked to avoid a flying chair, clenching his fists. Now was not the time. His face hardened. After he had gotten a room, he would join the fight. It should be an easy way to 'accidentaly' pick up a fallen wallet and remove a few of the green notes the humans so loved.

He had managed to get food before by walking in the building named "Mart", grabbing what he needed and walking out. Only, of course, after creating a useful distraction. The shop assitances would be too busy staring or attempting to fix a fallen shelf of tomato sauce to notice a slim, tall figure slipping out with a few bulging poclets. The stores he chose to target were those who couldn't afford, or couldn't be bothered, to fix security devices at the doors, and the so-called "security cameras" were easily disabled by a small burst of electricity. The idiots.

Reaching the counter, he waved to catch the attention of a giggling barmaid.

"Yes?" She asked, looking him over with an appreciative eye. He ignored it and tapped his fingers on the counter impatiently.

"I would like a room. Long stay." He replied stonily, amonisity emanating from him. The barmaid batted her heavily mascarared eyelashes and leant forward, which allowed her already skimpy top to be more revealing. He felt bile rise in his throat. This was disgusting. He forced it down as she spoke.

"Say please," She giggled, wiggling flirtatiously. Lucas tried harder than ever to prevent himself from staring at the girl with dull horror. He wanted nothing more than to be a hundred miles from here, back home in his cave. He found the childs antics horrifying. She wiggled again, swinging her hips from side to side as of she was trying to find her balance. How repulsive. Firmly keeping is eyes on her face he attempted to smile without grimacing. He managed to make the corners of his mouth twitch up in a sort of half smile and resignedly said please. She laughed and nodded, pushing herself to her feet and toddling unsteadily towards a door at the back.

"Follow me, coochie coo!" She called, grinning crazily. "I'll make sure you'll have the room of the house..." She wandered into the corridor. He allowed himself a quick look of disgust and horror before sighing resignedly. A look of permanent anger on his face, he walked around the counter, hearing the crunch of glass under his feet, and followed her into the passageway behind.

Arthur: Lugia

Arthur was happy. And when Arthur was happy he'd hum. So the happy Arthur was humming softly as he walked down the streets of Goldenrod. Though he missed the times when he was truely able to sing when he was happy, and to fly. Or swim in the depths of the oceans, riding the current...

The hum slowly died down as the nostolgia Arthur was feeling at the moment drowned the joy he had. Coming to a stop, he glanced up with a small sigh. It was so different being human. Strange and wonderfull at the same time. but sometimes, Arthur wished to be what he truely was again. He had nothing against humans.. It's just he missed flying. And being able to sing and have it carry miles without the need for electronic equipment from the humans.

That reminded him, and Arthur pulled his wallet out, ignoring the smaller humans that were forced to part around him to continue on, he checked the contents of it with a frown. He had enough money for the week, maybe less. But, he wasn't afraid of not being able to earn more. It's just he'd have to remember to find a club with an open spot for a singer. With a small shrug he put the wallet back into it's pocket and started walking again, trying to cheer himself up.

There was a ye-ow somewhere from a human, all who did that!? as he tried to protect his rear, and then blamed his girlfriend for it, but she just thought her boyfriend had snapped or something.

Though Arthur was whistling again.

Seraphina aka Fi

Seraphina, to put it lightly, was frustraited again. Being human was, Fi groped for the right word but she hadn't heard it yet, or didn't know so she couldn't place it there. It was just now, it wasn't... nice there, she had found a word.

Right now it was .. it was... not nice. She'd been human for such a short time. And sometimes it was just over whelming. And now, now Fi was confused with what her body was telling her. She'd never felt like this before.

No, wait.. her mind slowly turned back to before she had ended up in this city, and she sighed. How could she have forgotten what that feeling was? It meant she was hungry.

Closing her eyes for a moment Fi allowed a hand to run over her her unusually colored and built hair for a moment. She knew what she'd need to obtain sustanence, but that required something called money, which Fi lacked at the moment. So Fi wondered what she was going to do for food when she saw it. Food. Store. A food store. Or something like that, Fi had just spotted some things she knew of as edible in there and she wanted them.

And poor Fi, didn't understand the concept stealing was bad.

Alexander: Registeel

An empty bottle clinked peacefully against another empty bottle on a small bench. Over them sounded a peacuful sigh. The young man leaned backwards, eyes closed. Registeel, no, Alexander, he had to get used to thinking of himself as this new identity, wondered about how in the name of the holy creation someone as completely oblivious as the human race managed to create such wonderful foods and drinks.

Sure, there were some things that tasted completely awful, like those strange hard things that they handed out inside a restaurant as small tastes. And then there were completely weird things, like the hot water after a strange weed being cooked in it, that tasted quite good. And there was this "beer" which was one of the most delicious things in creation. Humans were strange. Alexander sighed again and stood up. He still had more of this city to see.

This strange gathering of buildings in one place was actually quite useful, when you looked at it in long view. The humans, in their strange boxes, had short way to all useful things, like food, drink and those clothes they needed to be warm. Alexander reached the center of the city, which was shown by a nice fountain that sprinkled water in all directions. Maybe the humans weren't so much stupid as they looked like?

Elizabeth Chilton looked out across Goldenrod City's residential district from the window of her apartment. It was usually bustling place, a large metropolis that fed on technology. This town was perhaps the biggest and most advanced in the world, and the generators scattered throughout the town radiated tons of electrical energy each day. And this made Goldenrod a most suitable home for the former Titan of Lightning.

The Titan of Lightning, Zapdos....

It had been weeks since Elizabeth (or "Betsy," as she had nicknamed herself) had taken on the form of that bird pokemon. She had lived among the humans for a few weeks, but she still had no clue about much of their culture and how to live. Adopting a human life was hard for one that, until recently, was a pokemon considered to be legend. But as a human, she was stuck in the human cities, which was quickly becoming very dull. The pokémon were few and far between here, hardly anyone went out on league challenges anymore, and there were few job openings. Luckily, Betsy had managed to catch a part-time job at the local café that allowed her to pay for a realatively cheap space and scraping by. She wasn't able to do much outside of work due to budget constraints.

Betsy turned to the rest of the room, which looked neat and orderly despite her current cheap living. The floor was rough wood and the walls were an off-white, dimly lit by the overhead light. A large wooden door led out into the building hall and anouther, smaller, divided the living room from a bathroom. On one side of the room was a worn sofa and a matress, blanket and pillow that had been fasioned into an effective bed. A dresser and desk were also there, obviously used but restored to a useable condition. The other side of the main room had a counter, cabinets, stove, sink, table and refrigerator, all once again simple but cost-effective. Other various appliences were strewn about the room along with a few things in the corner that Betsy was still trying to restore to working order. She had found some really good stuff at rummage sales for her apartment, and was amazed at how far the miniscule paycheck from the café would do. The place wasn't much.

But it was home.

OOC: Yeah, it's short. so sue me.

He walked like he owned the world. His shoulders back and his chest out, his gaze looking before him. He was improtent, he was great. He was a god in a man's body.

He was Locke. And he had business to attend too.

His spiked black hair had blue highlights on the top. His yellow green eyes never turned to the side of him as he continued on his path to his great distination. Walking a step behind him was two thugs, burly strong men wearing mostly black. Sunglesses kept there eyes hidden and they looked about as serious as Locke.

Locke wore a black jacket but it was opened, a red muscle shirt underneath. He wore a pair of dark jeans and his hands were deep in his jacket's pockets.

He continued to walk down the city street of celedon. Nothing would catch his attention from his mission. Nothing at all, he was fine. He was perfect, he was a god. No one could stop him.

Nothing.

A whistle as Locke's head turned as a woman passed him by, he gave his cat call which caused the woman to put more spring into her step and was gone arund the corner. It seemed the legendry Rukario had figured out something about man kind.

The opposite sex.

~*~

"Oh my gosh! OH MY GOSH!" The woman's voice called as the pink haired lady dashed over and scooped up the Skitty into her arms, hugging the rather surprised kitty like it was a life line.

Brent stood near by with a dry look, they stood in a pokemon pet store, it had tamed simple pokemon to own, such as skittys and Growlithes. Though the goldeen seemed more managible then anything else. Brent was a fish person.

Not a cute fuzzy pokemon person.

Hey wait he wasn't really a person.

Brent shook his head as he was confusing himself, at this time Lila had dashed over to a litter of puppy pokemon and had to hug every single one. The clerks at the store were giving each other odd looks as they were use to this from little girls. Not young women... very grown up young woman.

"... Are you looking at my sister?" Snapped Brent with a very dangerous look.

Both clerks quickly turned there gazes else were as they pretended not to even hear Brent.

"Good answer."

Ooc: ok, I wanted to start sideplots, but my head is killing me soo... you all get to go on your own for another post. BUT fear not for you are allowed to run into other people right away if you wish, or even my side characters *points at Locke, Lila and Brent* though Locke is part of a main plotline and getting tied in with him could be very dangerous this early in the game.

Renegade will be dealing with Johto people (and one kanto) and I'll be dealing with whoever I feel like mwahahaha....

Ren and I are allowed to use second characters atm but everyone hold of on theres ^.^'; actually if everyone could post sign ups for them in the signup thread that would be nice.

SCRAP ASKED ME TO POST THIS FOR HER.

Lights danced and spun above her.

"One tequila.."

The stool she sat upon squeaked in protest as she span upon it.

"Two tequila.."

The clink of beer bottles echoed in the dim smoky haze of the pub.

"Three tequila.."

And gravity kicked in with a sickening thud.

"Floor."

Raine grinned dazedly as she stared up at the ceiling. Her head hurt, but the pain was far away and distant. No matter. Somewhere else, a gruff, deep voice was rumbling above her.

"This one's gotta go, she's drunk outta her mind. Escort her out."

Rough hands took grip of her arms and heaved. She felt her toes being dragged across the floor, and then the arms rudely jettisoned her out into the biting cold of the night.

There was another thud and a splash as Raine landed in a dirty puddle in the gutter. Great. Now she was drunk and smelly.

A shadow fell upon her, and she looked up, her grin crooked and her eyes unfocused. The owner of the shadow looked at her uncertainly, as though she were some wild animal.

"Er, do you need any help, miss?"

"Yersh fo shurre," Raine slurred cheerfully. "Ah'm gunna need dat."

Quessen yawned as the bright sunlight of the morning shone directly on his face. It was early. The Magmar grumbled and rolled around on the floor. He wasn't special enough to have a bed, like most pokemon of his status did. The hard wood gave him back aches. Across the small hall of the apartment, Quessen heard yet another string of curses eminating from the bedroom.

"Oh what is it now?" he moaned. "Honestly, these legendary pokemon. You think they'd never lived a hard life before."

"QUESSEN!!"

"WHAT?!?"

"THESE INFERNAL BLAN-KETS ARE CHOKING ME!!"

Muttering a phrase that would not seem uncommon coming out of the mouth of his room-mate, Quessen stumbled lethargically into the bedroom and untangled the cursing (and unfortunately naked) Zakariah. Quessen wrinkled his nose and covered his eyes.

"Geez man, put some pants on or something! Not everyone wants to see what you have to hide!"

Zak looked confused for a minute, then looked down. "Oh. That."

"Yes. That." the Magmar replied, tossing the closest pair of jeans at the ex-legend.

"Well sorry." Zak grumbled, pulling on the jeans. "But I'm not used to having...extra parts, if you know what I mean. Besides, these 'clothes' annoying the hell outta me."

"Get used to them. You'll get arrested if you don't wear them."

"Bloody humans."

"Don't I know it. Now, I have scheduelled a shopping trip for this morning. Because this apartment is disgustingly empty, and you need human things."

Zak looked up from the T-Shirt he was sniffing. "Like what?"

"Like washin powder, for one thing. I swear that shirt has been on the floor for a week."

"Only a week? Excellent."

"...idiot."

Not a Seadra
Linden placed the headphones back on the rack. Boredom had overcome him again. It was dull as a human, where you couldn't go fly and see what the clouds looked like if you were bored. Nor did you have a little sister to keep you company...

He just couldn't shake Latias from his mind.

But his stomach complained miserably about that time. The former Latios sighed and exited the store, mostly because seeing all the food made him all the hungrier. How would he be able to eat? All he had been able to do was find the occasional odd job. Then again Linden had also been able to nab a bit of a snack from a fruit cart, though he regretted it.

But he didn’t have a huge amount of choice all the time. At least, that’s what he told himself…

Linden needed a real job. He knew it deep inside, and so walked on towards the newspaper rack so that he could see if there was a job he could do. As he went, he passed by another cart where a little old man was selling fruits and vegetables. While he was occupied with another person paying, the former Latios snagged a carrot and kept on walking like nothing happened.

The crazy produce man never saw a thing.

The Compromise
Lucas sighed, staring around at the room he had been given. If this was the best room in the house, he dreaded to see what the others looked like. The walls were an ugly yellow, odd shadows crawling across it as the cheap light in the center of the room swayed from the movement downstairs. The walls shook, causing dust to erupt from its many holes where he suspected lived a rat or two. He sighed. He was worth more than this. There was a haphazard dresser in the corner, its drawers pulled open and tilting at dangerous angles. He went over and pushed them in, fed up with them grinning gap toothily, but they immediately sprang back out. They must have once had a spring system, a system that was ignored and abandoned until it went haywire Picking up a dusty chair, also with only three legs, he shoved it in front of the dresser, forcing them closed. It was heavier than he thought, and it was a while before he managed to push it into place, leaving deep scores in the floor. He kicked at them idly, once more hating his weak body. Before he could easily move such an object, he probably would have been able to juggle three of them if he wanted. Not that he ever did. He stomped over to the grey, but clean sheets and sat down. The bed made a disturbing, farting sound and sank, a gas escaping. Soon he found himself sitting in a hole in the middle of the mattress, the hard wood beneath him the frame of the bed. He scowled and got up, briefly watching as the bed slowly gulped in air before storming out of the room. That had not improved his mood. Not at all.

He reached the stairs and flew down, coming back into the main hall of the pub. The fight was still in full swing, assorted humans yelling happily as they pounded each others heads in. He grinned darkly, choosing his first victim. A large, muscular man, who the others ran away from. As Lucas watched, he grabbed a small guy who was hiding under a table and bashed him on the head with a chair. He went down. Hard. Grinning, Lucas began to charge a small amount of electricity, as he watched the man bend down and filch something from the unconscious form, a bag of some sort. His target opened it and checked inside. Lucas spotted the tale tell flash of green. His smile grew wider. Perfect.

Striding forward, he bunched the electricity in his fist, raising it into a ready position. The room was an obstacle course, moaning people littered the floor, between, and sometimes on top of, the multitude of broken chairs and glass bottles that had been used to send them down. His target noticed him approaching, not at all unnerved by the fire that seemed to rage in Lucas's eyes, flaring with excitement. He blinked dimly in Lucas's direction, his bald crown shimmering in the light. Casting an eye over Lucas he laughed, his raspy voice barely rising above the collective noises of the brawl. Lucas halted in front of him, grinning and hopping from foot to foot. At least there is one good thing about this body, he thought, as adrenalin ran like wild fire throughout his body. They always like a good fight... Smiling again, he darted in close and swung at the mans face.

He missed.

The man ducked, reaching low and punching Lucas in the stomach. Lucas stumbled back, doubling over, eyes watering from the pain. It felt like being hit with a hammer, his intestines screamed in anger. He had nearly been winded, which would have been disastrous. His hat slipped to the floor, floating under a nearby table. He gave no notice of it, to busy figuring out what had happened. He managed a low growl. His pride had gotten the better of him, and he had learned it the hard way. He slowly recovered, using the pain to fuel his anger. His pride hurt, he got up and once began to save up an electrical charge. In the mean time he began to circle the man. He couldn't get cocky again, or he'll get whacked. This man was no idiot. He was an experienced fighter who was bigger, heavier, and stronger than he was. He might not have been a legendary, but he could have been. He looked like RegiRocks type, except the Regi was a peace keeper. The former legend smiled, eyes blazing, as he scanned his opponent for an opening.

He never was the best fighter in the world. But then again, who had he to fight with? The occasional batter with one of the legendaries was all he ever had, and that was only when he was younger. Now, he was stuck in this stupid, human body in the middle of a blinging battle. He grimaced, pushing the thought away. His anger still burned deep inside of him, he brought it out and unleashed it. Seeing his chance when the other man tripped over a chair leg, he attacked.

The man looked up to see Lucas's fist an inch away from his face. He jerked backwards, turning the full frontal hit into a mere clip on the chin. Lucas unleashed the spark when he made contact, and the bull-like man's eyes widened as it cackled through his body. He took two shaky steps back, a surprised look on his face, before regaining control and charging like a wounded bull, catching Lucas by surprise. Roaring angrily the man swung his fist in a wide arc, smashing into, and breaking Lucas's nose. Starbursts of pain exploded around as the bone shattered with a sickening crunch. He staggered back, crying out in pain, raising his hand to his face. Warm blood dribbled between his fingers and dropped to the ground, pattering like rain onto the already mucky floor. Salty tears mixed with them as he attempted to push the broken shards of cartilage back in place. He was in so much pain, it was almost unbearable! His ears were roaring, his teeth complaining as he gritted them to help himself deal with the broken bone.

The other man watched and laughed, shaking his head in amusement. He began to stroll leisurely forward, preparing to deal the final blow. Lucas glared at him with bloodshot eyes as with a final scream he fixed the pieces of his nose and removed his hand, ignoring the blood that ran down his nose and onto his lips. Gathering the biggest electrical charge he could, he threw himself at the man, lashing out wildly. This time it was his opponent who was surprised. He had underestimated his skinny, proud opponent and could only stare, dumbstruck as Lucas ran towards him, determination clear in every line on his face. Lucas raised a fist and slammed it into his enemy’s temple, delivering the final shock with the pleasure of vengeance. This time, the man dropped, knocked out cold. Grinning, he bent down and collected the mans bag, and all the bags of whoever the man had defeated. Which was a lot people. Opening every one, he removed the little green notes they loved, jamming them into his pocket. There was all these odd little cards to, but as they weren't green, he assumed they were not worth anything. Dumping the bags onto the floor, he retrieved his hat and jammed it on his head, before swivelling around and marching towards the stairs. His nose still throbbed painfully, but he ignored it, a feeling of triumph radiating from him. He had succeeded in his task of gathering money, and all he wanted to do was sleep.

katiekitten:

"THAT IS MINE!" came a rather feminine scream as a man yelped before being flung aside as if he was nothing. The man kept going though and had knocked into Lucas just as he was about to make his retreat back to his room.

A woman with red hair and green eyes stood there, a sort of club in hand (chair leg) as she looked around before bashing someone upside the head.

"Give me that!" she snatched away a bottle from another man and slammed in into yet another. Before she got up onto the table and with a sharp whistle, a shot was heard as a bulbasuar hiding behind the counter let out a loud 'bullet seed' which actually did sound like a bullet.

This got everyone in the room to freeze and look at the woman.

"This is my damn bar and only I decide when we have a fight. Now everyone leave or wait tell the police arrive." she declared with such authority and anger that most men quickly realized she meant trouble (and that bulbasour may aim at them) and hustled about scuffling and knocking each other as they tried to make there way upstairs or around others to get outside.

The woman hopped down and looked over at one of the scared emplories before winking and looking now at the knocked over Lucas.

"You know, I don't like thieves." she snapped. "Especially when they get all beaten up." she walked over, nudging an unconcious man aside and offered the once legendry a hand. "You better get cleaned up, I don't like messy guests either."

Linden was a bit a ways from where he had taken the carrot and seemed to have completely gotten away with it. If only two little green eyes hadn't been watching him. A second later as he broght the vegetable to his mouth he felt his shin kicked which probably hurt alot.

"HA! I caught you thief!" the ten year old dressed in raggedy clothing grinned before looking around notcing how few people were around and while he had um, gotten the 'thief's' attention, he had all ready snatched the carrot away.

"Could have at least gotten me one! shesh, you think you'd share with people when they are in the same hole as you!" though the boy was only ten, he seemed to be a far bit more mature, he had been on the streets awhile.

Scrap:

The young man grunted as he carried the heavier-then-she-looked woman. He may have been a skilled pokemon trainer who never left a lady in need... but he was still a thin no muscle man and now it seemed his mother telling him to drink more milk was starting to bite him in the bud.

"Almost... there" he mumbled to the smelly drunk woman in which he was carrying to the nearest pokemon center. He gasped as he stopped leaning against the wall, ignoring her drool. "Just rest a second" he said sitting her down.

"Well, well, well." grinned a black/blue haired young man, about the age of the trainer and stood with two rocket thugs. "Little Andrew has found a pet... A very importent pet at that." Locke chuckled.

"Bug off Locke, I said I aint joining your stupid group. Let me just get this lady to a safe place, she has had one to many drinks I think... a couple dozen to many." replied the annoyed trainer now known as Andrew.

"You look tired Andrew, let my guys take her, they are a wee bit stronger. I know her anyway, so I know where she lives." Locke said, he knew at once who this woman was. Kyeogre. Perfect, another legendry on his side. Drunk too, could use that to his advantage.

"... I don't trust you. Your a pervert." Andrew bent down to pick up the very drunk woman once more.

"... I don't really care what you think." Locke snapped and the two thugs drew out several pokeballs.

Alexander walked down the street, which was slowly emptying. Humans sleeped at nighttime, like Pokemon. Probably a smart idea. But Alexander didn't feel sleepy. Coffee was something that humans drunk a lot of, so Alexander had tried the same. Around four cups of something called espresso. So, no, he wasn't sleepy.

His strange outburst of energy made him walk through the whole city, where he finally ended up near an Underground-station. The sign on it said that it went to Cerulean. Alexander took a thinking pause. Cerulean...that was that big city near the mountains. Then, Alexander smiled, something he didn't do often. Mountains...it had been so long...not since he was a Legendary. The precious memory made him decide on go there.

He walked down the stairs, ready to go to Cerulean...and walked straight into some steel bars, that were blocking the entrance. Alexander squinted. Blocked? Why would anyone block this place? Then a sign nearby caught his attention. "Open...5 am...to...12.00 am." he read. Time. Revelation swept over his face. Of course. It was closed in the night-time. He climbed back up the stairs and saw a small bench. He could probably sleep on it till they opened the road. The last ounce of energy from the caffeine burned out and Alexander fell asleep.

Raine woke up only when she heard the noises of what was unmistakably a Pokemon battle. Cold brick pressed into her back. Apparently someone had propped her up into a sitting position.

What de hell?

Cracking a bleary eyelid open, she jolted in fright as a blast of electricity crackled overhead, neaerly singing her eyebrows off. ELECTRICITY. She hated electricity. She feared it more than anything else.

Motionless, not daring to move a muscle, she observed the unfolding scene from the corners of her eyes.

A lean man was using his Raichu and Breloom to fend off several Pokemon belonging to a pair of thugs --they were severely outmatched. The Raichu and Vaporeon were surrounded on all sides by an Armaldo, Arbok, Swalot, and an Scizor.

Raine jerked again as the Raichu let off another blast of lighting. That had been too close for comfort. Jesus!

Her eyes were drawn to a man behind the two lungs, and her spine involuntarily stiffened with a chill, although she could not have said why. Something about the man frightened her, and set her on edge.

OOC: XD I know I post too much. I can't seem to help it. Sorry for the wait! To much homework... XD

IC:

Lucas blinked in surprise, accepting the offered hand and allowing himself to be heaved to his feet. Anger began to set in from being bowled over, how dare that man do that! He straightened and took off his hat, un-squashing it and brushing the crumbs and slivers of glass off. Jamming it back on his head, he clenched his fists. Oh how he wanted to go after that bloody man! How dare he! He would get that stupid... weakling, and kick his head in! He was distracted from his dark musings as the lady pushed him towards the stairs, shaking her head in amusement. He glowered at the bulbasaur sitting innocently on the counter and stormed towards it. Stamping up the stairs, he kicking his door open and slammed it shut behind him. The room shook a little at the violent action, as if chiding him for the insult. Lucas cursed, stomping towards a previously ignored door painted the same ugly yellow as the room, and shoving the door open, briefly attempting to grimace at the horrible decor but instead wincing in pain as his nose protested. Going to the sink he leaned forward, resting his weight on it whilst examining his face in a cracked mirror. It was not a pretty sight. His nose was crooked and slightly flat, a stream of dried blood covering his lips and chin. His face was flecked with it, clothes speckled with fat scarlet drops. He looked a mess. Growling he turned on a lime-scaled tap, allowing the water to run clear before scooping it up and scrubbing his face. The cool water numbed the pain, finally getting his nose to stop throbbing. He gave a sigh of relief as he got to work.

All in all he was pleased with his efforts, even at the cost of his nose. He had managed to 'harvest' plenty of the green notes, the numbers on them pretty high. He hoped that meant they were worth much. He smothered a small yelp as he accidentally touched his nose. Eyes watering he paused, breathing hard before starting again, more carefully this time. Finished, he raised his head, turning off the tap and looking once more at the mirror. His sopping wet hair was tossed over his face, covering his eyes and dribbling onto his skin. He pushed it away impatiently, blinking to clear away the errant water and peering at his reflection. With the blood gone, the bruising was much more visible, a big purple verging on black bruise blooming in a dark flower of pain on and around his nose. He considered trying to reset his nose, but discarded the idea after gingerly prodding it. Additional pain twanged around his stomach, reminding him of his earlier hit. Spinning around, he dragged himself onto the sink, briefly sending a wish to it to not collapses under his weight, and lifted his shirt. He groaned. More bruises awaited him, a cheerful array of the dark spectrum colors. Sighing, he lowered his shirt and jumped off, trooping back into his room. Tiredness descended in a fuzzy cloud around him, but he shook his head, trying to clear it. He needed to eat before resting, he could no longer put it off. The fighting had only used up more of his energy. His exhaustion made him irritable, evident as he stomped out of the room towards the stairs, muttering under his breath. This was not the best of days.

"And now for tonight's news..." A mediocre reporter on the static screen of a small television spoke as Catherine bitterly glances out the window, not fully paying attention to what the masculine human had to say. The half-eaten ice cream in the small bowl that was in her hand was already beginning to melt into a small pool of cold liquid, mixed with the white whipped cream and a little cherry on top. It seemed forever as the man shown in the television screen spoke about recent news in the same, monotonous voice that bored Catherine so much. Setting her ice cream bowl aside, she sat up and flicked the button that Kendall had showed her so she could turn on (actually, it was off majority of the time) the machine, and the television's screen went blank as the human disappeared within the darkness.

And they call this entertaining... Catherine snorted as she looked back through the window sitting opposite of the couch, the neighborhood deserted except for a few sheets of used paper that flew across the street. Bah! The human world should get a new nickname...either "Boredom" or "Crappy City" would do. And yet, here I am, stuck with a naïve, pathetic girl that obviously doesn't understand the meaning of 'Shut up!'.

Ever since speaking to her roommate, she kept chattering to the point when the former Legendary Bird of Ice just couldn’t contain hearing her voice, since she found it very irritating and yelled the two words that she heard from other humans say when they want the other to stop talking. Still, Kendall just giggled and said to her, “You know you shouldn’t be saying that. It’s not polite to say that when you have no one to talk too. Beside, you should go saying ‘Be quiet’ rather than ‘Shut up’.”

Catherine then acrimoniously said what Kendall advised her to say, and she was near the breaking point of slapping her across the face when Kendall said that she shouldn’t be scolding her and left with the dinner, which was some hot soup. Of course, since Catherine hated hot meals, she snuck some ice cream instead, but that still haven’t lighten up her mood from the occurrence just before.

Rolling her eyes and sighing, she turned her attention to the open door that led to Kendall’s room. The loud snores coming from the bedroom indicated that she was snoozing, and eyeing the unlocked front door, Catherine raised her eyebrows as the idea of sneaking out to the dark street struck her mind. After all, she knew another way in that Kendall showed her, so slipping away into the darkness might be worth her time…

Gradually tip-toeing her way to the door, Catherine glanced back one more time before slowly opening the door. It made a small, squeaky noise, but that was pretty much all. Successfully slipping her thin body through the small space into the open air, she softly closed the door behind her, before walking along the sidewalk of the street, scanning her eyes all around for any signs of simply…interesting things that were not to be missed.
