I was wondering how you get the people in the house by the battle pyrimid to wager your battle points.They keep telling me that they rooted for the wrong trainer at the battle dome.Is this even possible?It says so on serebii.net

When you have three of the fourteen Frontier medals (that is gold or silver) the hiker guy will say which event he would like to see someone enter, and whether you'd like to bet. You can bet 5, 10 or 15 points and if you win you receive double what you wagered when you return to him. However if you lose he can't return your battle points.
