I'm guessing everyone's still busy with the holidays?
It's pretty dead in here. *pokes*

I'm still re-cooperating from the holidays financially but I'm here :)

random question, does anyone still use tumblr?? I started going back on mine this month and I've been excited but it doesn't seem as active anymore. Haven't gone on in about 6 years before this month. Or is there a new website I should be posting on instead of tumblr now? I'm 24 but already I feel old and out of the loop with the high school kids haha

I guess this is a good of place to ask this as any. The tl;dr: what's a good place stateside to take my boyfriend, Davy, on a vacation?

More detailed: Davy and I are long-distance (more than 4.5 years btw). I'm in California, he's in Texas. We're currently living with family since we can't hold (another) job just for rent on top of our other obligations--so, visiting each other's living space is out of the question. This will actually change once I finish up my master's thesis (being a physics student, this involves a lot of labwork--about 30 hours/week)--I'll be heading to Texas so we can get our own place. Super exciting! But it's been awhile since we've been able to see each other in person, and since we would have to get a hotel room, we might as well choose a choice destination. I'd prefer something cheaper, but money isn't too much a concern since I'm receiving a stipend for my labwork when before I had to plan as if I wasn't. Along those lines, Austin and San Antonio are significantly cheaper since Davy can just drive there, so no airline tickets involved. He's lived in Houston and Dallas enough that that's a no-go; same with me and bay area. With all that in mind, do you guys no of any good places for a young gay couple like ourselves to visit in US?

I am finding the idea of romance hard as well but I have been asking people if they would ever, shame my ear piercing failed (got a lump on my ear and stuff) since it makes me get jealous of other women even more so. Might try some clip-ons from esty but it's not the same.

I should just accept the fact that I will never be a girl in a happy family.

Have ya'll seen Love, Simon?? I really liked it, although there was quite a few cringey parts that I literally couldn't watch lol. Was in the theater with my hands over my eyes.

Not yet. I just finished the first season of Riverdale and I swear that the only way Kevin could be an even bigger gay stereotype is if he had the voice of Paul Lynde, carried around a tiny dog in a designer bag, and lived with a 50+ year old sugar daddy in a mansion. Not even Jack from Will and Grace is as gay as Kevin and that’s saying something.

I honestly stopped watching Riverdale tbh. I just couldn't get excited for season 2 anymore.

I’m going to do a drag show that will be performed for autistic children. My main goal as a drag performer besides trying to get onto Rupaul’s Drag Race is to show others that being on the autism spectrum isn’t a bad thing and I want to show kids on the spectrum everywhere that they should never let anyone tell them they can never do something just because of their diagnosis. People on the spectrum always get a bad rap and there are so few role models for those kids.

I am very disappointed in the mod(s) who erased our recent posts about the objectification in mlm relationships; let it be known that discussing sexuality in a healthy, instructive way is not pornography or offensive/inappropriate material, especially in a thread about... sexuality.

A N Y W A Y, as I mentioned in my now-deleted post, I have seen Love, Simon, and it was a beautiful, intimate and very relatable movie. I teared up watching about 3 or 4 specific scenes and found the little nudges to LGBT+ people really fun. It was an entertaining experience and if I had the time to spare, I would go see it again! But finals are approaching and there's just too much work needing to be done right now...

Pretty much my line of thinking, but uh, seems they snuffed her out. We'll probably get in trouble for discussing it here but talk about swift justice. Dayum.

I guess the posts can't be restored, that's too bad.

Eh, I don’t fault you for feeling that way, but obviously there’s stuff I can’t talk about either. If you want your posts restored, try talking to someone still listed as Clubs staff, they were only soft deleted.

I know some of you don’t like/trust/want me, but now that I’m free of the burden of worrying about how my opinions might reflect on staff, I’d like to actually join, as I am bisexual, and do believe this club to be of value.

Clip on earrings work well. There are even adapters to changed ones made for pierced ears into clip ons bu pushing the piercing part through a hole and you can use clip on earrings with a jump hoop you close with jewelry pliers found in the jewelry making section of any craft store. I’ve converted about ten pairs of dangling earrings into clip ons this way and many drag queens were impressed how well they turned out and said they couldn’t even tell I converted them. Claire’s also sells clip on earrings in some fun and fashionable designs including rhinestone studs and hoops.

And I actually just saw that movie last Friday while visiting the bf. We both really enjoyed it. And good luck with finals--they're never fun.

For those searching for LGBT friendly sitcoms, One Day at a Time did a phenomenal job portraying a current, with the times, storyline. This is especially relevant for the Latin American community. It is a Netflix exclusive show.

Yeah, I'm shopping for some magnetic black studs myself. They really complement my long and dark curly hair, but sadly Claire's doesn't sell them. There's plenty of other places to buy them but I'm hesitant. The last pair I had, the glue that attached the cubic zirconium to the magnet came undone after just a month. All of them around the same price 6 to 8 dollars, so I'm wondering whether they're all like that.

I wish my ears weren't allergic to eeverything. The only thing they can be pierced with is solid gold. :(

I'm a pretty big men's jewelry enthusiast in general. I have a sterling silver pendant of Bhuddista Guan Yin, as well as a ring that resembles an awesome image of Medusa. I'm on the hunt for a proper bracelet right now, and someday, when I'm dirt poor, tattoos galore!

The earring converters I bought are hypoallergenic.
