Hi all.
We have had reports of member's signatures being edited to include malicious content. You can rest assured this wasn't done by staff and we can find no indication that the forums themselves have been compromised.
However, remember to keep your passwords secure. If you use similar logins on multiple sites, people and even bots may be able to access your account.
We always recommend using unique passwords and enable two-factor authentication if possible. Make sure you are secure.
The signups have ended with a whopping 42 participants. While this may seem unruly, it is actually relatively simple. As you will be able to see in the bracket, there will be 10 matches in round 1. If you are not participating in round 1, you have an automatic bye to round 2. ALL BYES WERE COMPLETELY RANDOM. This does not mean, however, that you should not prepare your team. The bye should benefit you, as you will have an extra week to make a team that can outdo your opponent. That being said, let’s get to the good stuff.
First, the word assignments. I have worked to randomly assign each of you a word. The assignments for this round can be found below. These will be your words for rounds 1 and 2.

Remember, you must create a team whose ENGLISH names begin with the letters in your word.
For example, say I got the word 'HEART'. That would mean I could create a team using Haxorus 'H', Empoleon 'E', Accelgor 'A', Reuniclus 'R', and Tyranitar 'T'. The last slot in your team will be a wildcard of your choice.
The tier for this tournament is Standard BW OU. No Ubers and no Unreleased DW abilities. All other smogon rules apply.
Next up is the bracket itself. Below you will find the bracket. All matches were random. Each match will be a BEST OF 3 contest in an effort to eliminate hax. You will be allowed to change teams if you want to, but all teams used must fit your word.
And so round 1 can begin. ROUND 1 WILL LAST ONE WEEK, MEANING THAT IT WIL WILL END ON TUESDAY, APRIL 2ND.

On that note, I sadly have to drop my place in the word tourney. My Internet has been ridiculously dodgy since I got a new router two days ago, and the only devices that I can access the web with do not have PO. Computer's showing no signs of connecting either. I'm close to the hammer approach in terms of an attempted 'repair', and will most likely have to get a new computer. Drivers are old, XP will be defunct in less than a year. Sorry Kots.
And I have a few school related and a non-scholar project currently underway. Taking up most of my time nowadays.
