I need to make a competitive team for X/Y. I was going for Ubers I remember. Just not MMY. Forget everything I said about Ubers, as in what I'd make a team around and what I wouldn't. Everything is on the table. What I need is a good core to start off with. Any suggestions to start off with?

I need to make a competitive team for X/Y

THIS I would like to see But a full team.

I'm on the process of testing stuff for my Mega Absol team. Right now I'm missing two members. Besides Absol, I have Steelix as a lead, which has been working quite well, and it's not because smogon says bad stuff about it that I'm going to drop it. Gorebyss is a must for my core in order to BP. Then I have my special tank Goodra, and so far I'm using a bulky Volcarona, which is working well too, but I'm not sure if the synergy is the best. The 6th member has been changing. I've tried mixed Infernape, Jellicent, Landorus, Avalugg, and some other stuff but nothing is satisfying me totally. I'm still going to try a mixed Hydreigon set in case Absol can't switch in and I need to BP the Shell Smash to someone else, but that makes it two Mach Punch weak Pokémon and only Volcarona to resist it (and most Mach Punch users bring Rock Slides or Stone Edges too... So I'm kind of stuck here. Jellicent worked nice until now but it makes me feel like I'm lacking offense.

Hudsonn, nothing beats Shell Smash for Baton Pass Watch Absol strike.

Umm... Specs Jellicent? Specs STAB Water Spout like no other (like Kyogre without the rain and huge Special Attack. Best thing you've got in OU). For more offensive, but also defensive, 6th members, perhaps consider Gyarados? Bulky DD with Intimidate can set up pretty well and sweep, even without a Shell Smash. Tanks Mach Punches and other priority pretty well. Perhaps Aegislash? Mixed set, tanks Mach Punch (no, it's immune) and Rock Slide/Stone Edge like a *****. Mandibuzz does not want to fight a +2 Attack, Special Attack and Speed Aegislash, especially with Sacred Sword/Iron Head. Although Foul Play is a *****... a Fighting type would work, with a resistance to its own type. Fighting + Bug/Psychic/Ghost/Fairy/Flying I guess. Heracross? Medicham/Gallade? Hawlucha (lol)? Heracross is cool; +2 Attack and Speed Heracross with the possibility of being Mega (Absol doesn't live forever) is just deadly. Medicham and Gallade are OK, Gallade being a bit 'meh'. Hawlucha... no. Medicham resists Rock, whereas Heracross doesn't. But Heracross is a deadly mother****er.

I can't decide on a character for Skyrim. I have a few planned out, but not definite on one yet. I could use some imput on which one you like so I'll find flaws and pick a different one so I can choose correctly. Then I won't post much more crap about Skyrim. My options are:

~ Witchhunter, betrayed by her Order and turned into a vampire (Conjuration / Archery / Destruction / Restoration / Sneak / Enchanting)
~ Vampire Hunter, hates the undead and those they associate themselves with (Two Handed / Light Armor / Smithing / Enchanting / Block / Archery)
~ Vampiric Aristocrat, uncaring of mortals; ancient, impeccably dressed, arrogant, suave and utterly ruthless (Sneak / Illusion / Conjuration / Restoration / Destruction / One Handed)
~ none of the above; think of something new

And I will be making a team of some description (my brother is currently thinking of some stuff, so I expect we'll brainstorm and stuff).

Going with the Vampire. I like the conflict in his character- on the outside he's calm, undetached, emotionless. On the inside he's the true monster- corrupted, ruthless and deadly. Both have a razor sharp intellect and neither cares for other human beings. The cross between the aristocratic politician I imagined him as and the animalistic slayer of the living/anti-Paladin sort of monster that he is. He has no love for other vampires either; he's happy to slay other puny fledglings, kill rulers and the like. Doesn't give a **** about anyone basically. I love it.

I don't have Guild Wars. Looks fun though. I'm getting a proper gaming PC sometime this year, so I'll probably get it (it's been recommended by my uncles and my friends, so it must be good).

Half term this week! I have an entire week off dedicated to playing video games. Love it

I'm going to sort out my plans for HG, and I expect I shall start on Wednesday. I'm going to make an OU team. My options are:

~ Sandstorm team (with either Hippowdon or Tyranitar)
~ Team around Aegislash
~ VoltTurn team

I've planned out an Imperial Rogue in case I get bored. But I think I like my Vampire.

snivy, if you need skyrim characters, go to the 'Character Building' group of the skyrim blog. hundreds of builds there. Im playing a true nord:
Race: Nord (obviously)
Major Skills: Two-Handed, Block, Archery
Minor Skills:Heavy Armour, Smithing
Questlines: Main Questline, Companions, Destroying the Dark Brotherhood, Dawnguard, Dragonborn, Stormcloaks

the true nord is a microcosm for the typical nord. two-handed barbarian with a hardy nature. he never backs down from a chance to crack skulls, fully embraces his dragon blood and will do anything for the province. he kills any threat to his people, worship talos indefinitely. also, he is highly racist.

objectives: Get a war dog, horse, and warrior follower (Only nords are worthy, however), and take these around with you at all times. this is your 'crew' you could say. with your team, you should: : Clear bandits camps, do jobs for the jarl, learn all the dragon shouts (as many as possible), slay every dragon your find, never kill another nord, aslong as that dont threaten you or skyrim herself. be a total asswipe to Jarl Ulfric.

that pretty much wraps up what im making right now. i haent played a 2handed in so long, i cant wait


ALSO: when is the 4thgen/HGSS run happening, im ready to get that one out of the case this week.

Well, I changed my mind and went with my Rogue. Maybe not Imperial though. Rogues are quick on their feet, silver-tongued and can be extremely deadly. They're assassins with honour, which the Dark Brotherhood lack somewhat. I like making money, and so a character which uses Lockpicking and looks to steal stuff sounds fun to me. They have a nice skillset (or mine does- Sneak - Illusion - One Handed - Archery - Alchemy - Lockpicking - Speech) and I can easily get this guy to Level 60 (max is 81, but Rogues won't use Heavy Armor or Two Handed). No Armor means every battle will be hard, but this just fortifies the importance of Sneak, Alchemy and Illusion. I can also openly switch between blades and such, using Daggers for quicker speed and backstabs, Swords for open combat and a Bow for range. I'm happy.

I cannot really think of any rules. No spamming about utter crap, I guess. Make your posts clear and concise so it's easy to read. Post your team, add pictures maybe, etc. You can breed Pokémon for this runthrough, if you don't like certain Pokémon within the game. In fact I myself might do that. Oh, and enjoy yourself! This begins as of now. You can quit whenever you like. For some this will be after you beat the 8 Johto Gyms and the Elite Four. For others, not until Red is defeated, every Gym Leader has been re-challenged and the Elite Four defeated again.

Sawsbuck is undeniably powerful; in BW Nature Power was Earthquake in WiFi battles, which meant it had a nice range of coverage. Now I think that changed.

I've made my HG team, just need to start now. I'll do that later, maybe on Wednesday.
