Back when Tigers used to smoke.
Understandable. However, you never really "returned" to this Kanto hehehe. Unlike all the other Kanto content that felt somewhat forced, this feels more like a proper remake, from the trailers anyway, with a lot of care and thought put into the design of the region to make Kanto feel somewhat like a new region. I wish I could say the same for the rest of the game's features, heck it might be almost the perfect Kanto remake if they kept the traditional stuff in, but I can't help but be intrigued of exploring this new Kanto.I guess my resentment towards Kanto comes from the developers constantly shoving it down our throats. From giving us the starters in XY and the constant references in other games.
Personally I'd rather move forward in the series instead of constantly returning to the place where it all started. They call it a Pokemon "world" for a reason, there's a whole world out there to explore. We've only explored a small portion of it with regions based off Japan, New York City, France, and Hawaii. There's tons of other locations to explore so why do we keep returning to Kanto?
