The Isle of Armor & The Crown Tundra DLC - RUMOR & SPECULATION Thread [Spoilers]

but I can't see what's so problematic about them making Ireland happening now other than Game Freaks laziness.

Read up on the history between England and Ireland, and that's the last thing I'm gonna say on that subject. Not even Gamefreak is that oblivious.

If you ask me, we're overdue for a region that's primarily desert, at least something other than Orre. (As a desert-dweller, I kind of miss Orre though.)

I'd love a primary desert-based region. Everybody always calls for a "cold" region, but well...we're currently getting our second cold region (Galar and Sinnoh) so why not a hot, dry desert region. I agree with wolf jani that Egypt would be a fun region, or Western Australia with the Kimberley (or just the Kimberley, really) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kimberley_(Western_Australia)

I did find it odd that there appears to be Galarian counterparts to England, Wales, and Scotland but not Northern Ireland. That being said, Northern Ireland is indeed geographically very small, and if they want to scale it comparably with the main Galarian island, there wouldn't be much happening there.

Northern Ireland is kinda ignored these days in real life as well, due to all the unfortunate stuff associated with it.

I would love to go back to Orre, and have them fully flesh out the region with new pokemon as well.

That would be cool, if we were able to face off against more trainers and against wild Pokemon too.

The website also makes a Pokémon cry, and I think it sounds famailar, but I don't know if it matchs another, or I've hear way to many the last 20 years they begin got met mushed up.
It's Rotom's cry, which most likely is a reference to Rotom Dex informing you with the new Dex data of Pokémon.

You know actually relooking at the leak I think we might be misinterpreting the Scorbunny is pure Fighter part. What I mean by this is while I still think that pure fighter is a typo and they meant to say pure Fire, looking at it though I don't think it's saying that Scorbunny's final evolution is pure Fire with Fighting type moves, I think it's actually saying that Scorbunny itself learns fighting type moves but is pure fire. Basically meaning that the "Affleck" leak never actually said what the typing for Scorbunny's final evolution is.

Some people may already know that but I thought I'd point it out because although I know that I have made that mistake, I think I have actually seen other people make that mistake as well.

The leaker even mentions not remembering final evo. So I assume that the pure fire learns fightning moves means the middle stage.

No, that's not what it's saying, when it says Scorbunny will having fighting type moves but is pure fighter(which is likely a typo and meant fire), it means that Scorbunny itself will have fighting type moves but is pure Fire. It doesn't say anything about what the typing of Scorbunny's evolutions are.

Basically the having fighting type moves and is pure fire is applying to Scorbunny itself and not it's evolutions.

The leaker's knowledge about Pokémon franchise is questionable; he mixes Dark with Fairy while explaining the Gym part but most importantly, he assumes Zacian and Zamazenta represent only one Pokémon. For a franchise long-lasting for more than two decades, you're supposed to know how the mascot legendaries work, even if they are split-evolutions like Solgaleo and Lunala.

Which is why, I assume the leaker felt obliged to explain Scorbunny itself is not a part-Fighting, as Bulbasaur and recently Rowlet know Poison and Flying-type moves respectively while also having that dual type. The leaker must've thought it was an odd decision to add moves for a starter Pokémon that doesn't have its typing. In my book, "Scorbunny knows Fighting moves, but is pure Fire." exactly corresponds to "Popplio knows Fairy moves, but is pure Water." of SM era.

I assume that the leaker thought it was some kind of White / Black Kyurem deal, with Zacian and Zamazenta being forms of the same pokémon. Which is a pretty fair assumption, considering how similar they are in appearance compared to many other box legendary pairs.

But yeah, I don't think the leaker is a regular fan of the pokémon franchise, nor someone who worked within the Pokémon Co. Probably someone hired as a third party, like a play tester.

If it is a case of pure Fire but learns Fighting type moves, I do love how it'll be another case of the Fire starter being tied in some way to Fighting once again.
Similar to Incineroar, whose design could definitely be interpreted as being /Fighting and who still learns a few Fighting type moves, but just wasn't given the typing.

Off the top of my head I can't recall, but do we have any rumours saying anything is coming up?

I wonder if Bede gets controlled by Eternatus? That'd be an interesting character moment. He gets so focused on power and winning that when Eternatus starts to wake up he takes over Bede's brain along with other characters. Then you have to fight through Bede, Rose, Oleana, and whoever else is brainwashed before facing off against Eternatus. This moment humbles Bede if only a little.

I mean if Rose has a Pokemon and isn't doing the, "World of Pokemon" speech that means we either fight alongside him, watch him fight someone, or fight him.

I'm pretty confident in saying that the 'glitched-out' Pokémon is the Evolution of (Galarian?) Farfetch'd - Sirfetch'd. The cry heard is Rotom's, signifying that the RotomPhone that also contains your Pokédex for these games has detected a Pokémon and is trying to register it. The data seems to be glitchy and corrupted because it is trying to recover information on a Pokémon that used to exist, but was later deleted for some reason, a Missing Number: a Missingno!

Missingno is the term given to the Pokémon in the game data that was originally designed, then removed - the Pokémon from Beta versions of Gen 1 and 2 are the main ones here. And guess what one of the removed Beta Pokémon is? - An evolved form of Farfetch'd! The image has been rotated 90-degrees to make it harder to determine, but the spear-like part overlapping the name area shows that is part of the glitching, and is actually a green-bladed sword rotated with the Pokémon. So how could a Sword (and a Shield, which we can figure out now that the picture is oriented correctly) have a green coating on it if the Pokémon is shown to be neither Steel or Poison Type? If it's Sword and Shield isn't made of Metal!

This is a Farfetch'd that has survived against everything wanting to devour it by mastering the ways of Chivalry and Swordplay, learning by watching the Knights of the Galar Region of Old. Equipping a shield made from another vegetable (not sure what though - some sort of Capsicum?) made it unable to fly, but afforded the Farfetch'd much better survivability, which led to its Evolution to become a true Knight - Sirfetch'd!

Yes, I think we’ve all established that it’s Sirfetch’d.

Which doesn’t thrill me because it just means GF is revealing something else from the Affleck Leak that we already knew. At this rate we’ll have only 30 new Pokémon, but they’ll defend it by saying “but we gave you 25 minimally different, situational and pointless Gigantamax forms as well!”

Yay. I guess they must be saving their energy and resources to make more than two models for the region’s evil team instead, so they can at least be taken seriously and not look like every member is a Harley Quinn cosplayer waving the exact same banner, or a fat punk rocker who lives in his mum’s basement with a massive porn stash. Oh wait... never mind.
