This is a club for fans of the MI6 agent to discuss the movies - Dr. No, From Russia With Love, Goldfinger, Thunderball, You Only Live Twice, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, Diamonds Are Forever, Live And Let Die, The Man With The Golden Gun, The Spy Who Loved Me, Moonraker, For Your Eyes Only, Octopussy, A View To A Kill, The Living Daylights, Licence To Kill, GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Is Not Enough, Die Another Day, and the upcoming Casino Royale - and the literature by Ian Flemming.

As you may or may not know, Casino Royale is the twenty first James Bond movie to be made - due for release in November this year - starring Daniel Craig as James Bond. There has been a lot of controversy over the fact that Craig has blond hair - being dubbed "James Blond", though Roger Moore had light brown hair, rather than the traditional black.

The movie is taking 007 back to his roots, showcasing how he became the secret agent we all know and love.

The film is centred around 007 tracking down a banker to the world's terrorists, simply known as "Le Chiffre", and is assigned to beat him in a game of Texas Hold 'Em Poker, so he loses all his funding.

Controversy has come from that Moneypenny and Q will not be included in the film, as they were not in the book. Controversy has also surrounds the fact that Felix Leiter, 007's contact in the CIA, will be portrayed by African-American actor Jeffrey Wright. Felix Leiter has always been Anglo-Saxon.

I'm looking forward to it as well. While Craig is different to the the Bonds of previous films, I think he'll bring the franchise back a bit.

Indeed. They wanted Craig to take it 'back to basics', as Die Another Day stretched it too far, with too much CGI and farfetched (no, not the Pokémon) happenings. Here's hoping he does well.

I also love them all! I guess they made M a woman just to change and freshen up the series a little. I don't know.

I just remembered that many fans thought it was too weird and therefore that movie wasn't great but I like it anyway. How can they be fans if they don't support all the movies. For shame.... Sean Connery really appeals my mom.

Sean Connery seems to appeal to everyone who watches one of his Bond movies. I'm going to sound a bit corny here, but oh well. I guess he had something that really allured people....dunno what it is, but it's something a certain one of the others lacked. And no, I'm not going to say who it is. Because I'll likley offend someone.

Tim Dalton was good as well. He added a lot to the series.

Sean Connery was the original Bond. He was the creme of the crop of all the Bonds. Pierce Brosnan just doesn't quite cut it as Bond.

Yeah, he was. I guess if leats say...Sir Roger was the original, everyone would like him.

But regarding Pierce, I disagree. He's no Connery, but he's still good.

Well, as times changed, Bond changed. That's why Sean and Pierce are so different. That's my theory anyway. Both seem to fit in with the age the movies were made in, so yeah.

Wow. CR is looking better every day, isn't it? Although I don't like the idea of showing him BEFORE he became oh oh seven, that trailer looks pretty damn good.

Also, is it just me, or is the way the cast list set out in a wierd way? Usually it's something like this, isn't it?:

Gaydon, 4th May 2006: Aston Martin has unveiled the new DBS which will be driven by James Bond, the legendary British secret agent, in the next 007 film, “CASINO ROYALE”, to be produced by Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli for EON Productions.

In true Bond style, specific details of the new DBS remain top secret, although Aston Martin Design Director, Marek Reichman, said: “This car encapsulates a link between our elegant DB9 road car and the powerful DBR9 race car. It signals an evolutionary development of Aston Martin’s world renowned style and elegance.

“While hinting at our future design direction, the DBS also has very clear links with our heritage – it is instantly recognisable as an Aston Martin.”

Aston Martin Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Dr Ulrich Bez added: “The DBS continues our proud and lengthy association with James Bond.

“The DBS is not of the understated elegance of a DB9, nor the youthful agility of the V8 Vantage. It is explosive power in a black tie and has its own unique character which will equal that of James Bond.”

Starring Daniel Craig as James Bond, “CASINO ROYALE” is scheduled for release in November, 2006.
