This. Gamefreak isn't going to even implement something that sparks controversy in an instant. Nope. Zero. Sure there were controversies in the past but they weren't too out of hand unlike a concentration camp.

There was a comparison picture that traced the landmarks back to France and England. I'm going to say the region is based on France because the Pokemon dude went to France before x and y

Whoa, since when was there anything English in there? As far as I've seen there is nothing prominently English. England and France are close countries with a lot of history together. I'm sure anything that can be pointed out as English in the trailer can be traced back as French influence. So, I beg of anyone still wishing for more than just the French inspirations, please don't get your hopes up. But keep dreaming, you might get what you hope for eventually.

I really, really doubt there will be anything England-based in these games. Britain and France are two such different entities it wouldn't really make much sense or create a proper cohesive region if both were included. Besides, who on earth wants to see Britain turned into a Pokemon region anyway?

Well, that's not really a fair comparison, seeing as GF have had four chances to nail the Japan-based regions and only once have they ventures outside of Japan to a new country.
But yeah, Australia would definitely be interesting. Would probably get sick of all the deserts, though.
I do not, in any way, think they are cool. If it looked that way, i apologized. Upon a second look, i admit, it was a bad idea. I am sorry if i offended anybody. I just wanted to put an idea out there. It wouldn't even have to resemble anything like that. Maybe just a wasteland, similar to route 4 (i think) in unova.
sometimes i say things that shouldn't be said, or that are kind of dumb. I will try to be more careful in the future.

In all honesty, I would want to, and then Germany. In that way, they might consider us as (NL) as some kind of off-border Region that can't be visited :3
Anyway... I wonder how it would all look and feel, really.
And by feel, I mean like, mentally. I thought Kanto and Johto were, pretty good, and Hoenn and Sinnoh great. Then Unova (the region, not the Pokémon) was utter meh.
I hope this can top it.
Anyway... (Again) I wonder if we'll have Seasons, would make sense. I mean, it's cold there all the time, yeah, but, it gets pretty warm in summer. I think it could have a lot of \Pokémon variety.

Would make sense, I guess, but they passed up Lt. Surge appearing in Unova, so i'd say not to count on it.

It would be cool if they were to reimplement the game rooms, or even better wait for it....... a casino. If the region is* (we don't have any info on if it will be based on France) based on France it could be located in a sea side resort based on Monaco, more specifically the area surrounding Monte Carlo. I would like a Lyonesque city to be present or one based on it, it would be cool and the gym leader could use electric or steel types.
Yes that would be great, I miss the game rooms. The voltorb-flip game was ok, very annoying, but at least it was something.

The only problem with this is that Cantonal has a different kind of accent in the Japanese games I believe.
Fantina is only French in America.

Yes, but they need to learn its just a game although these are probably the same moms that buy their ten year old kids GTA and other games not intended for children and then complain about the violence.
