What i'm going to talk about involves newer pkmn games, and pkmn breeding (none if which involve red,blue, or yellow) But since the topic is about Kangaskhan, i'm posting it here because she is a 1st gen pokemon. ;115;
Many people have been asking why Kangaskhan are all female, and why they are Always carrying a baby, well I think I can answer these questions, and more, about Kangaskhan.
1.Q. How do you breed Kangaskhan?
A. Well a male is not needed, just put it together with ditto!
2.Q. Should a male Kangaskhan be created?
A. Well, it's not needed, but if it were created, I would call it Kangasking, or Kangaskong.
3. The "baby" Kangaskhan
I have really studied the subject on the baby Kagaskhan, and I have come to 3 conclusions.
1---As far as I know, no known pokemon game shows any evidence of in game pokemon ageing, so why would they make Kangaskhans baby look any different than an adult?
2---I also know of no pokemon that ages, let alone is a completely different color when young.
3---In the pokemon games, a "baby" pokemon is a pre-evolution of the adult pkmn (pichu is a baby pikachu), so that makes it a whole other pkmn species. My conclusion, baby Kangaskhan is a new, unamed pokemon species, or as you would call it, a pre-evolution of Kangaskhan. If I had to name this new pokemon, I would call her Kangaskid.
4. The Kangaskhan lifecycle. (and why they always have babies)
Here are my 2 ideas on how we could alter Kangaskhan on a new pokemon game.
Idea #1. Kangaskid hops out of her mother's pouch, she is old enough to be on her own, now she can be caught by pokemon trainers. A trainer comes and catches Kangaskid, he brings her to the breeding center, and places her with a ditto. They are compatable, but when the trainer returns no egg has been layed (Kangaskid would be the only pkmn this happens to in the whole game) Instead, (we dont actually see it) but the egg remains dormant inside of Kangaskid (or it's pouch if it has one) Kangaskid evolves at a certain level, and while it's evolving into Kangaskhan, the dormant egg hatches into a new Kangaskid, and voila, that would explain why they always have babies.
Idea#2.Kangaskid hops out of her mother's pouch, she is old enough to be on her own, now she can be caught by pokemon trainers. A trainer comes and catches Kangaskid, he brings her to the breeding center, and places her with a ditto. When the trainer returns, he finds his Kangaskid evolved into Kangaskhan while he left (it would be a breeding evolution, evolves only when put in the breeding center with a compatable pkmn, again, would be the only pkmn in the game to evolve this way) So while it was evolving (after breeding) the egg was formed, and now that it's a Kangaskhan, the egg hatched, and it's got a baby, Kangaskid! This is an alternate idea on how they evolve/have babies.
So there you have, that's my idea's on Kangaskhan, and hopefully the future; Kangaskid.
Too bad I couldn't send my idea to the Pokemon creators.
