Pokémon Platinum (Coming to the new supercharged hand-held console that probably has appeared when this is released)
Takes us back to all the regions, ways of travel in between them, avability to catch every pokémon and other fun things like real-time 3D fights, anyone can come up and you'll just release a pokémon and the fight is on. The avability to release a pokémon wherever you want to make it follow you around (like a pet) is also new to the series.
This is the newest game in the series, introducing the quest on being a pokémon master yet again. The game follows the animé series more than the original games, which makes it a bit more realistic. Levels are gone, so is stats. The pokémon will be able to fight using good strategys from it's trainer.
Changes to previous games:
-Levels are gone
-Stats are gone
EVs, DVs, IVs are no longer existent. The game is not a bash 'em up game, it is a Role Playing game where you don't train to become a master, you travel to become one.
-The avability to reach every region with flights and boats.
-Pokémon can be released out of their pokéballs and back in at will.
-The pokémon league is now based as the animé. The champions is decided through a tournament.
-Lots of new battle modes, such as the 3on3 and Free for all.
In Free for all, both trainers release all their pokémon, making them fight by themselfs without orders from the trainer.
Now, just to clarify, I didn't find this anywhere, I wrote it myself and Quoted it to separate my discussion text from the game text.
Is this impossible. I mean yeah, I can see some things in the text that can't be put in a game or stuff that don't mix well but wouldn't this game still be a blast?
I was thinking of it the other day while playing World Of Warcraft. Every person who has seen WoW knows the game engine. You follow a character from behind and controls him/her all they time. Wouldn't a Pokémon game with this very same game-engine be nearly perfect? It takes away the the whole "Catch.Train.Battle.Win" and gives the game a more RPG feeling. This game would be perfect on PC or maybe Gamecube and would have to require a high-tech handheld console to work to the max.
