The Legend of One

Hahahabvc87

Always watching...
This is my first fanfiction, so I'm really nervous how it will turn out.
As we all know, Mewtwo was created by a scientist, and since he was mistreated, only had hatred in his soul.

[SPOIL]What if he was rescued from that lab when he was still young, and taught to live as a pokemon instead?[/SPOIL]

Please read and review, all constructive suggestions are warmly welcomed!

PROLOGUE

Trailed by hunters, a pokemon ran,
To avoid falling into the clutches of one man;
Though finally succeed did its escape plan,
What was left behind will one day scourge the land…

“WEEZING, SLUDGE BOMB!”

The Weezing spat a purple sticky gob at the elusive pokemon, but the pokemon dodged it and kept flying even faster, desperate to escape the clutches of the Team Rocket admin.
Team Rocket had been tracking this pokemon for years, and after spotting it two days ago, they chased it all the way from the West Pallet Field, through the Viridian Forest and finally up Mount Silver. It had numerous cuts and bruises on its body, evidence of the fierce ongoing battles it had endured these few days against the ruthless Rocket pokemon. No matter how many pokemon it defeated, they just kept on coming like an unstoppable tidal wave, and it knew that it would surely be swept away by them if it should falter.

Weezing kept attacking furiously, spitting so many sludge bombs that they seemed to meld together to form a spout of toxic ooze. On the other hand, the pokemon flew circles around the Weezing’s attack, glowing slightly pink as though it was charging up an attack. Luck wasn’t on its side though, and it got hit by a lucky shot from the Weezing. Letting out a yelp of pain, it kept tumbling over and over again in midair until it finally crashed to the rocky ground.

“Now is our chance! Capture it!”

Hundreds of pokeballs thrown by the Rocket grunts rained down on the helpless pokemon, but before they could even touch it, the pokemon raised a shining pink barrier around itself, and the pokeballs bounced harmlessly off the barrier onto the scorched ground. Suddenly the barrier vanished, and it stood up to face the Weezing while firing off a powerful beam of energy at it. The pink beam seemed to distort the space around it, and crashed into Weezing like a ton of bricks, sending it flying over the horizon. The Weezing never stood a chance.

“Grr… It still isn’t weak enough? Goldbat, attack that pokemon now!”

A Goldbat dived towards the pokemon, and before it could raise the barrier again, the Goldbat’s wing sliced the pokemon’s tail, drawing blood. The pokemon screamed in agony and readied another attack on the Goldbat. This time a powerful blast of lightning surged towards the goldbat, frying it in mid-air before it could even dodge. Goldbat fainted instantly and was recalled by the Rocket admin into its pokeball before it fell flat onto the ground.

The pokemon’s vision was blurring, and it knew it couldn’t hold on much longer. It sent all its remaining energy into its final escape technique, Teleport. It sent out a blinding flash of light at the Rockets and their pokemon, and when they could see again, the pokemon had been long gone.

Curses! Boss isn’t going to like this…” screamed the assistant admin in fury.
“Never mind, we got what we came for, though it’s sad to say we couldn’t get the pokemon itself. Move out and head back to base. Our job here is done.” Disgruntled at his apparent failure, the rocket admin turned around and started the long walk back to Viridian city, thinking of an excuse to shield himself from Giovanni’s imminent wrath at the next mission report.

Back at the Rocket lab, the scientists took the crimsom liquid on Goldbat’s wing, passed it through numerous tubes and flasks, and even more varieties of chemicals. Finally, they managed to extract minute amounts of DNA from the blood on Goldbat’s wing, and from that small amount, a being of ultimate power, yet possessing the most ironic fate was created…

Thank you! I thought my first would be a disaster. XD

Here's the first chapter :)

Chapter 1
The Awakening

Out of one, a monster was born,
Its purpose - to leave the human race torn;
Yet as they flee from its raging scorn,
Another went back to prevent this future forlorn…

“…Where am I…?”
“…Who am I...?”

The world around me was dark, silent and cold as a spring river. Nothing could be seen, heard or felt… As my conscience gradually loomed, I could start to hear voices beyond me. Voices which were muffled. Voices which were excited. Voices which were human…

“The readings are off the scale! Mewtwo must be almost conscious!”

“…Mewtwo? Is that my name…?”

I needed to know what lay beyond me, and my hearing wasn’t nearly enough. Slowly, I began to open my eyes, drawing in the sight of my birthplace…

All around me, I saw human faces staring back at me, some in wonder, others in fear. They were contorted, as though there was a barrier between us. Somehow, I felt it there. I needed to escape my prison. I needed to be free…

They saw my eyes glow blue, and the glass tube which kept me in stasis began to crack. Wider and wider the crack stretched across the surface, and in one final crunch, it completely shattered, showering the room with glass splinters. I landed on the floor and picked myself up, noticing the strange shape of the ones who had created me, and that they all kept some distance from me.

I saw that I was in a dark small room, filled with computers and wires, completely covering all four walls and no doubt all for only one purpose, my creation…

BOOOM!!

Before I could enquire more about myself, the far side of the wall had been blown open. Computers and wires were torn apart, releasing a flurry of sparks. Fire caught onto a pile of paper and a raging inferno began to form. A gaping hole existed where there was once a wall, and within that hole, floated a creature unlike those which stood before me.

“Emergency! Emergency! Everyone evacuate the building!”
Panic ensued and the humans all rushed out of the room through the only door, and I was left to face this pokemon, unsure of what its intentions were. It was only slightly smaller than I, and was green all over with a lighter shade on its head and arms. It also had two antennae, wings, and black rings which surrounded its blue eyes. It did not seem unfriendly, but a look of worry and impatience was evident on its face.

“Quickly, follow me! We don’t have much time!”

Somehow, it managed to say those words without even opening its mouth. I realized it must be speaking to my mind!

“What are you doing here?” I asked, surprised by its sense of urgency. “And why did you blow a hole in the wall?”

“We will have time for questions later. For now, we must escape!”

That didn’t answer anything… But still I felt it was right to follow it, and pursued it through the maze of hallways, running as fast as my short legs could. Fear began to grip my mind, as I could sense that there were humans on my tail, as well as other pokemon which were forcefully being ordered around by the humans. They had evil intentions in their hearts, and I didn’t want to be caught by them, lest I had the same fate as those poor pokemon.

Even though the ringing in my ears from the blaring sirens and blinding lights from the alarms slowed me down, I still managed to keep up with the mysterious pokemon. I still didn’t know anything about it, but at that point I didn’t care; all I knew was if I lost sight of it, I would be doomed as a slave to those humans…

We finally reached the exit out of this criminal den, but they had already set up a blockade. Rows and rows of pokemon stood before us, all seemingly heartless and ready to strike at a command. As if that weren’t bad enough, our pursuers caught up with us and released their pokemon too. Flanked from the front and back, with walls on either side, we were trapped…

That was great :)

The chapter could be a bit longer. a little more discription.

I liekd the way you word your fic the way the sentents flow into one another.
And how Mewtwo is resuced by another pokemon before her blowes up the lab.

Thanks for the review Demy, though it seems you're the only one who gave one. *Wonders where all the other readers are. Oh well.*

In case anyone hasn't noticed yet, Mewtwo is still a baby and his powers have not fully developed. So don't expect him to blast everything he sees into ashes, though that might happen later in the fic :p

Okay, enough of the ranting, here's another chapter!

Chapter 2
The Great Escape

The Rockets glared down at us, their determination for stopping us right there and then reflected deeply in their eyes as if their life depended on it, which it probably did.
Their pokemon just stared into empty space, with the look that normally only Slowpokes would possess. They had been brainwashed, and I knew that if they got me I would be turned into a mindless zombie too.

“Heh, looks like the rats aren’t going anywhere,” muttered one of the Rocket grunts menacingly. “So just give up now or we will blow you both into dust.”

“Whatever happens, promise me you will get out of here alive.”
I nodded in agreement, and to my astonishment the pokemon began glowing white, its body seemingly melting and reforming, changing into another form… Before long, another pokemon stood beside me, its body covered with pink fur with short arms and legs, with a long tail. It would be considered cute, if not for the deadly serious expression on its face.

Oh, how wrong they were.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The future rested on my shoulders, and I didn’t want to fail again…
Seeing as our escape route was now blocked, I had to pull out all the stops, knowing that my current form could not generate enough power for an intense battle. Focusing hard, I called on all my power to change my body into one form I knew would be strong enough for this purpose.
My original form.
Quickly charging up power, I then fired a hyper beam into the blockade in front of us, sending the Rockets screaming and scattering in horror. I had to shield my eyes from the blinding flash, and a HUGE blast rocked the ground, echoing back into the dark hallways behind. Everyone was knocked down from the sheer force of the blast, and most of the blockade had been cleared out. Scrambling back onto our feet, we thought we could escape easily into the dense forest ahead. However, the Rockets behind us were untouched…
“Attack them now! Keep Mewtwo from escaping at all costs!”
And so the battle for freedom began.
Seeing as it was not a good idea to battle in a confined space, we rushed out into the grassy field tailed by angry Rockets. Koffings, Arboks, Goldbats and other poison pokemon soon caught up with us, and we had no choice but to fight back. As always, Team Rocket had a certain… liking for poison pokemon, and I had dealt with so many of them in my past that fighting them now was second nature to me.
“Bring it on, rocket scum.” And so they did.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

As I had only just awoken, my powers were still feeble and all I could do was shield myself from attacks thrown at me while the other pokemon knocked them out. My psychic barrier could deflect most attacks, and I dodged those strong enough to shatter it.

“Just who is that pokemon?” I wondered while still escaping from the hordes of pursuing pokemon.

The Rockets weren’t dumb though, and sent Goldbats after me. I raised my plate-sized shield again in anticipation to an attack, but they let out a deafening screech instead. My concentration wavered, the shield disappeared, and the Goldbats lunged at me, preparing to deal a final blow. I scampered away from them, expecting my world to go black when the attacks finally hit. Moments later there was a bright flash from behind, and when I didn’t feel the expected blow I turned around to see what had happened…

The pokemon had saved me yet again. The Goldbats were charred from white streaks of lightning, still sparking from the intense voltage flowing through them seconds earlier. An Arbok was surrounded by a pink aura, lifted up into the air and completely helpless against the Psychic attack. The pokemon tightened its focus and I saw the Arbok go limp as its energy was drained. Other pokemon which tried to tackle it were knocked back as the bulky Arbok was flung at them, leaving holes in the concrete wall when they crashed into the building.

I watched in admiration as it sent pokemon flying everywhere with mere shots of energy, all perfectly aimed without a miss. Whatever it was, its power was so overwhelming that its flaming aura burned like the raging inferno that was consuming the laboratory. Distracted by the incredible battle waged before me, I didn’t notice the Growlithe which had quietly crept up and was preparing a Flamethrower attack…

A stream of fire was unleashed just feet away, and when I turned around to see what was happening it was already too late. I was blasted right on my shoulder, the stream of fire terribly searing my skin.

Argh!!” I shrieked in agony.

The force of the impact knocked me over, sending me skidding over the grassy ground. I stood up shakily, weakened by the surprise attack and stared angrily at the pokemon which had done this, aching to tear that irritating smirk off its face. My left arm was scorched, and too weak to protect me should the pokemon fire off another attack. I only hoped my energy was enough for another shield; if not, I was finished…

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Alerted by the familiar shriek from the edge of the battle, I flung a Weezing into a crowd of pokemon before rushing towards a figure sprawled on the ground. It could not… no, must not end here, or else all my effort would be in vain and the world would be plunged into everlasting darkness.
“Mewtwo!” I screamed and rushed in front of another ball of fire hurtling towards it. I created a barrier of energy around us, and the fireball was reflected back at the Growlithe which had shot it. Surprised by this, it was knocked back before it could dodge its own flame ball, and was promptly knocked out when I flung it psychically at a tree.
“Run, now! I can’t hold them back forever!”
Burned and grazed, it turned to look at me, and with tears in my eyes, hurried towards the dark forest. I knew he would never make it if the Rockets continued to give chase, and so I flew to the spot where he was just a few moments ago, ready to stop any infidels who dared approach. All that mattered now was it escaping to safety, and I was prepared to lay my life down for that.
“Please, be safe… my child…”
The Rockets began to pursue it, but stopped short when I hovered in front of them, striking fear into their already desperate eyes.
“We’re not done here yet.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I weaved my way through the thick undergrowth, jumping over bushes and ducking under branches as I dashed through the forest. Explosions shook the ground behind me and cries of pain were everywhere, but he didn’t dare to turn back .Curious glances from resident pokemon where everywhere as I whizzed pass them, wondering what a strange pokemon like me was running from.

I did not know how long I had been running, but it seemed like an eternity before I finally reached a clearing beside a river. At that point, I knew I had reached my limit, crossing the river was no longer an option. Even the fear of being enslaved by the Rockets could not propel me any further.

My body felt as heavy as lead, and darkness was beginning to cloud my vision. Exhausted, I slumped to the ground, noticing a small yellow figure walking towards me before I finally passed out…

Hiya! You reviewed my fiction, so its time for a review for yours from me! *rolls up sleeves*

Characters/Pokemon

Mewtwo: Poor little guy... I'm supposing that it will be the main character of this story, and I'm looking forward to how you plan to develop it.
Mew: I feel pretty sorry for Mew as well. It is very powerful indeed, but not invincible (and I'm glad of that, because ultimate ubers that can't be beaten are never really fun in a fiction, they always get boring). I liked its disguise as Celebi when it arrived at the lab, and I hope it survives the assault...

Plot

This is a truly great plot, taking the classic Mewtwo story and giving it a marvelous little twist. I'm enjoying this quite a lot, and I hope to see how you plan to develop this (I have my theories, but they're not based on anything yet, so I'll keep them to myself for now). Your description is really good, too. I love it when I can put a picture in my head of what's going on, and this story gives just enough. A little more could be used, but it's not necessary.

Grammar

I can't find any big mistakes here, either. Good job!

Summary

A wonderful start to what I hope will be a great fiction. Cheers!

About the only thing I could complain about at this point is length. The Chapters could be a little longer, but that's likely just because I'm used to rather long Chapters. Actually, introducing a few more characters would be nice, too, but once again that's probably because I'm used to a large variety of characters. Other than that, I really can't find anything else to complain about, and that's not just because you gave me a nice review. However, as I usually do, I'll wait to rate this, because I want to see how a story progresses before I rate it. No offence, but occasionally a fiction can have a really great start, then go down in flames. Or it could start horribly, then rise to become a truly great piece of work. This is why you won't find me rating something until it's well underway. So be patient, and keep up the good work!

Until we meet again...

This is pretty cool actually. The twist of what Mewtwo would have been like if he wasn't tormented by tests by the rocket scientists is a good new idea.

At the start i couldn't work out the Mew in disguise. Pretty good idea.

Anyway i'll be back when you post the next chapter :p it's really good and don't ruin it *pulls out gun incase*

Wow, this is really good. I like the way you alternate between Mew and Mewtwo's POV, and it seems like you've really put a lot of thought into how things would be. Plus it's cool to see Mew using transform, it's a great idea. I hope you have Mewtwo being more active later though, since right now it's mainly just Mew doing stuff.

Whoa. I'm loving this Hahahabvc87!

What a great twist! Mewtwo escaping as a small kitten! Excellent! And I thought Celebi was going to help him throughout his young life...

Whoop! Mew to the rescue! *Superman music* Guess she freed herself to free her small child... That's my idea of a mother.

This is rare for a new member to write like this. You're sure talented at writing! I sense a future author in the making! Well, can't wait for more! Hope Mew'll escape. And I'm loving first person. Whoop!

*superglues self to thread* It's now been Kutie Pied! Muah ha ha ha!

Woohoo! After completing all my projects with some help from my best friends, I managed to get this chapter done in the very same day!

Okay, I fixed the length of my chapters. They will now be longer, but as a trade-off they will also take more time before being posted.

This chapter focuses more on character development, and might not be as exciting as the last. Sorry in advance!

Chapter 3
A New Life

I was in an ethereal world, standing on a straight road which stretched from horizon to horizon. One side branched over towards an ever darkening sky, disappearing into the realm of darkness. The other led on to the opposite side, vanishing in the abounding light beyond me. In the distance around me stood four figures, just within my sight so that I could see them, yet too far for me to make out their features.

“Who’s there?”

The world is in danger…
The struggles between Light and Dark have shaken its foundations…

“What are you talking about?”

The balance has been disturbed, wobbling back and forth from neutrality…
Only with the One’s power will this disparity end…

Another road blazed across the gray firmament, forming a crossroads on which I now stood upon.

Will you lead it down the twilit road to nightfall…
Or to the rising sunlight of dawn?

The ground beneath me began trembling, and the both sides of the sky above me mixed and swirled around, as though a whirlpool was sucking both sides into itself, creating streaks of white, black and grey.

The future is in your hands, and in yours alone, young one…

Fissures opened right under my feet, and I fell into what seemed like a bottomless abyss. I screamed in fear as I watched it close slowly, drowning out my terrified cries and leaving the world silent…

“AAAHHHH!!!!!!”

“…Finally decided to join the land of the living?”

I awoke with a start, cold beads of sweat pouring down my body even though it was quite warm, pulse racing as though I had just run a marathon. The sun was shining brightly in the blue sky; it was probably around noon. Good, at least I’m not dead.

Calming myself, I turned to face the Kadabra sitting on a log beside me, eating what appeared to be small blue berries, flicking them skillfully into the air and into his mouth with his bent spoon. He was yellow all over except for the brown armor covering his chest, the red wavy lines on his stomach and the pink six-sided star on his forehead. His piercing green eyes were fixed on my small frame, studying my reactions with utmost intensity.

“Um…Who are you, and where am I?” I asked, slightly unnerved by his stare.

“…They call me Auros. You’ve been out for two days now, sleeping beauty. If you weren’t so lucky as to have me pass by, you would be Houndoom chow by now.”

Looking around, I noticed that I was on a cliff overlooking the forest, far above the river where I had fainted. There was a small grayish pile of rubble some distance away from the river, and small wisps of smoke still wafted up from the ruins, probably the remnants of my birthplace. The land around it was blasted and scorched, small craters in the earth marking the great battle which took place there not too long ago.

“I’m Mewtwo.” I replied, trying to avert my eyes from his intense gaze. “Did you see the pokemon that saved me from the nearby laboratory?”

“No.” Sighing softly, Auros turned towards the cliff, glancing at the smoking ruins. “Sorry, but the last time I checked, the battle had already ended and all that was left of the building is that large heap of twisted stone and steel.”

“Oh.” I replied softly, feeling down since I would likely never find out just who that pokemon was. I felt obliged to repay the favor, and decided to do so if I ever met it again…

Then, my stomach growled. Loudly.

“……” Silently, Auros psychically handed over a bunch of his blue berries without even turning around to look at me. Without hesitating, I accepted his gift and chomped down the whole bunch. They were soft, dry, sweet, and very delicious, leaving me wanting more of those mouth-watering goodies.

“…If you’re looking for more, there is a berry grove over there.” I immediately ran over to where he had pointed, and soon came to a cluster of berry trees. I could feel myself drooling just by looking at those plump, juicy berries hanging on the trees, just waiting to be plucked.

Heading over to the nearest tree, I grabbed a big red berry and bit into it eagerly. It was juicy, but strangely this one was not sweet as I expected. In fact, it was actually quite spicy… Realizing this, I quickly spat out the wedge-shaped piece that was in my mouth. However, I was too slow. The full taste of the berry quickly dawned on me, and I realized I had just taken a bite out of an extremely spicy berry!

WOAH! HOT! WATER! I NEED WATER!”

I ran around the grove, frantically looking for some water to cool down, mouth spouting fire as the spiciness of the berry continued to creep down my throat. I saw Auros walking towards the berry grove moments later, and after sighing again, he pointed his spoon at a small shrub on the ground.

Using his psychic control, he quickly yanked off a bluish-green berry and proceeded to stuff it down my throat. Immediately, the spicy feeling subsided and the source of the flames died down, though the bitter aftertaste completely ruined my appetite.

“Thank you.” Heaving a sigh of relief, I turned to look at Auros sheepishly, knowing that my rashness had caused me to look like an idiot.

“…Perhaps now would be a good time to teach you about berries…” he murmured, obviously not too amused by my antics. A long and boring lecture about berries ensued, lasting well past the afternoon and into the night. My mind was powerful, but I knew that I could not last much longer against the onslaught of long and big words, and slowly my mind began drifting into the world of dreams…

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Looking at the small figure curled into a ball and snoring softly, I could not help but feel insulted. Here I was, revealing my insights into the vast mysteries of berries which I had painstakingly unearthed over the years, and that young whelp dared to fall asleep right at the most exciting part!
I stopped my wonderful ramblings right there and then as he obviously wasn’t listening. Just why did I save that runt when he can’t even appreciate the wonders of berries? Reminiscing my past, the reasons suddenly became all too clear…
+++++++++++++
Three years ago, I was captured by the rockets. Having absolutely no mercy or compassion, I was used as a test subject for every new twisted invention the Rockets could think of, examples being the evolution spray, super revive and psychic amplifier. Another one was the immensely successful mind-control serum, which unfortunately was a failure for me back then.
Regarded as garbage, I was thrown out into the wild when my mind was still reeling from the ill effects of that serum. They expected me to be food for the Houndooms which roamed the area, but I proved them all wrong. I survived somehow, yet my mind had been permanently damaged by that damned invention, a side effect somewhat linked to my crazed obsession over berries, my stunted emotions and my burning hatred for everything that had to do with the Rockets.
Not wanting any other pokemon to suffer like I did, I raided that laboratory regularly, freeing every pokemon I could find there. My endeavors proved to be a thorn in the Rocket’s side, and only until recently when they installed that blasted sensor I had managed to bring the Rocket’s progress in the invention department down to a grinding halt, since they had nothing to test them on. We, the fugitives from that laboratory became a tightly knit brotherhood, and swore to bring just retribution to our oppressors.
Many times our attacks on that lab ended in failure since the Rockets outnumbered us by at least 3 to 1. We had almost given up hope of wiping them off our land… Then, a mystery pokemon destroyed that lab completely, doing single-handedly what all of us together never could, and just after that this strange pokemon appeared. Coincidence? I think not.
+++++++++++++++
Somehow, I knew that this little runt was linked to the one who had ended the Rocket’s tyranny here, but I just don’t know how… His skill and power, though rough like an uncut diamond now, had enough potential to surpass even the pokemon mentioned in legends long past. How he came to obtain such immense potential, I do not know.
He was the key to our ultimate victory: the crushing defeat of the entire Team Rocket organization. And I would be the one to polish his skills, turning this dull crystal into a sparkling gem, passing down ancient and powerful knowledge handed through the ages. When he finally masters them all, we would finally be able to wipe all those Rocket scum off the face of the earth.
Focusing my mind for telepathic communication, I told my brethren of my plans for tomorrow, telling them to give our newcomer a special welcome.
All in due time, little runt, all in due time…
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

“Hey, wait up!” I called after Auros, trying to follow his slim figure as close as possible through the thick undergrowth of the forest. I was awakened early in the morning, and told to follow him somewhere. He didn’t say where or why, and I was very curious as to what was happening.

I finally caught up to him, reaching the same clearing where I had fainted days earlier.

“What’s going on? Why did we come here again? And what is it with you and berries?” Questions kept coming from my mouth, as if I was an AK-47 rifle and he was the bull’s-eye. Out of the corner of my eye, I spotted a figure darting behind a tree, feeling his eyes glaring at me, watching my every movement.

Out of the blue, the figure launched a bright orb right at me, sparks of electricity encircling it as it zoomed towards its target. Not caught off guard, I simply jumped out of the way as it approached. However, the orb swerved off-course, increasing in speed as it continued to pursue me. Knowing that it would eventually hit anyway, I stopped running and raised my barrier, hoping it would withstand the power of the blast.

As it crashed heavily into my shield, I strained against the force of the impact, and with no little effort pushed it back towards the figure. It simply fired another ball of energy, and the explosion from the resulting collision rocked the entire area, scaring Pidgey from their nests, blowing a small crater on the ground and scorching nearby trees.

“Pretty good for a youngster.” The figure commended, now hidden by all the dust in the air. I could sense others in the surroundings, and I knew I would be in for quite a fight…

I'm in need of ideas for new characters for this story, mainly the companions which will accompany Mewtwo along his journey. Since I have hit a writer's block on this, I turn to you, the readers, for help. If you feel that you have a character which suits this story, PM me with the details and I just might include them in the following chapters! Thanks in advance!

Well... this was an interesting Chapter. I'm glad to see chararcter development on Mewtwo's part, and Auros is... well, eccentric would be the word that describes him best, at least to me. I didn't see many mistakes at all, which is good, but here's one that caught my attention:

Chapter 3: An New Life said:
“I’m Mewtwo.” I replied, trying to avert my eyes from his intense gaze. “Did you see the pokemon that saved me from the nearby laboratory?”
Bolded for your convenience. Adding the "my eyes from" makes the sentence a little smoother, and from what I've seen so far, Mewtwo has a good understanding of how to talk, unlike most baby Pokemon. "that" is just a slightly better word for the situation than "which." This is the only mistake that jumped out at me, though, so you did really well overall. Great Chapter, and I can't wait for the next one!

By the way, I'll think about Pokemon that should be Mewtwo's partners and PM you the ones who might be suitable. Just a quick question: are the Pokemon limited to any of the four regions (four just because of the few new D/P Pokemon), or is it a choice from the full 386+?

About the pokemon... Since I only own a GBC and a GBA, I have not played any other pokemon games other than RBY,GSC, FRLG and RSE, and can only give descriptions based on the 386 in them... "Orre" is still a foreign term to me. >_<"

Love the new chapter, Mewtwo has a great understanding of how to talk too.

Wow, this is only your first fic? I just read it and it seems awesome so far.

I love how Mew is portrayed (sp?) as more serious. I hate how some people think that it is just immature and childish and nothing more.

“Please, be safe… my child…”

*is startled* This doesn't seem to fit Mew, IMO... ._. But it IS interesting.

This is pretty cool actually. The twist of what Mewtwo would have been like if he wasn't tormented by tests by the rocket scientists is a good new idea.

At the start i couldn't work out the Mew in disguise. Pretty good idea.

Ditto here. I wonder if Mewtwo will turn out cold and harsh from fierce battling with the Rockets (and training with Mewtwo's partners), or will it grow up happy and friendly? Imagine that... a big, happy, friendly, Mewtwo without hatred and accusation in its eyes. I also wonder what that happy Mewtwo would say to Mewtwo Strikes Back. Probably be astonished! 'o'

About the characters... I try to think up something and PM, if I get time. I'm already pushing it now by reading fanfics and the like ^^'' (but it is definately worth it). I have 3 projects due next week. Deja vu, anyone? XD

Always watching...
Good luck on your projects, I know I had some. ^_^

The next chapter is coming along quite okay, and probably will be up by tomorrow IF I can finish the characters...

Hehehe, I will give you guys some small spoilers for the coming chapters.
Warning: Do not read if you want to keep the mystery!

[SPOIL]That Mew is not exactly who you think she is...[/SPOIL]

Another one:
[SPOIL]The trainings and battles will definitely affect Mewtwo's personality.[/SPOIL]

Were you expecting plot leakage? :p

I have most of the battle scenes written out, but there are many missing parts due to the non-existent character descriptions. Expect me to update quite soon when I manage to think of some new characters, or use the ones from my PM's (not that I have any suitable ones right now... >_~).
