Thanks to Hoenn Journeys flopping, I decided to take another route with the pokemon trainer storyline.
This is a story about a trainer named Anita that just recived her Pokemon licence. The only problem was that Lady Luck wasn't exactly kind to her, and she received a Magikarp as her starter [SPOIL](Thanks to her mother, however, she won't be totally helpless)[/SPOIL]. It will go through her ups and downs as a trainer, even though she starts with a Magikarp.
It'll take place in Hoenn, but she'll be starting in Mauville instead of Littleroot.

In a house at Mauville City, Anita couldn't sleep. She knew that she would recieve word on her scores from the pokemon test tommorow. Whether she was able to recieve her licence and go on a journey hinged on that score. She knew that she studied well, but still, she was worried.
She sat up in bed. Outside, she could hear the sounds of nocturnal pokemon like Oddish and Poochyena doing their nightly things on one of the nearby routes. She looked around her room, at the copmputer in the corner, various pokemon stuff like plushies, and the posters on the wall. Her mother always wanted her to become a trainer, even though she was never one.
She laid back down and fell asleep. The next thing she knew, she was being woken up by the sun filtering in her room outside, and the smells of breakfast downstairs. She hopped out of bed and went downstairs, where her mother had pancakes ready.
"Oh, Anita, good morning," her mother said, then handed her an envelope. "I'm guessing that you'll be wanting to read this."
She took the envelope from her mother, carefully opening it and reading what the piece of paper said inside.
