The Mew trick?

I decided to try the Mew trick on my yellow a few days ago. I did it, but instead of Mew, I get Nidoqueen. I try like 5 more times and it ends with the same result. What's up with this? The strange thing is that Nidoqueen is my strongest pokemon. I want to know why this happened. I did everything right.

I just did it yesterday...and it was a Mew.
May I ask which trick you did? If it was the Ditto one, then your pokemons special stat is probably off. You need to have Ditto transform into a pokemon with a special stat of 21.

well you probbly didn't battle th right trainer on that one rout. I battled the wrong trainer once and a nidoqueen too.

You have to battle the junior trainer located after the nugget bridge that has a slowpoke to make mew appear, and remember that you need to make him walk up to you or else you cant battle.

Alright, I'll try again. I probably battled the wrong trainer.

EDIT: It worked this time. I think the problem was that I battled the hiker all those times.

There are many Mew-getting theories, but with my game none of them worked... I got one by the cheating module of my friend then. -_-

In the mew trick if you use special stats of 192 and up you can get glitch pokemon. Like for 192 I got a pokemon called ###A#### (# means one of those glitch boxes.) It is at lv 100 and its stats are: hp 277, atk 98, def 178, spl 136, spd 498. I know its stats suck except for speed but it was raised with only rare candies. I will keep tabs on the other numbers and post them when I get them to lv 100

yea all of the "special = 190, 191, 192 etc" pokemon are glitchy. the best is LM4 who evolves into a clefairy then a nidoking at lv 18. plus it learns hypnosis. a nidoking with hypnosis... coooOOOOoool. yea anyways this really all should be discussed in the "missingno/glitches" thread. it's stickied- can't miss it.
