I love Misty, but you probably already know that, because I've claimed her as my bishie. But I just love her because she's one of the only characters that doesn't make me gag. Seriously. She's not the perfect trainer, like they try to make Ash and May, so that's a good thing. And she actually has a good, original personality. Plus, she was removed from the show before she got boring, so now only Ash, Brock, and May seem boring.

She was in her prime in Kanto and the Orange Islands. She was funny, entertaining, had an interesting dynamic with Ash and Brock, etc.
But as we know it all went downhill from there. I love the fact though that the writers knew they were running her character into the ground, and in an attempt to save her, they revived her character and established her as the Cerulean Gym leader.
It's funny because Misty came full circle. Originally she ran away from the Gym and her responsibilities because she was too immature, but now after some character development, she's become the Gym leader and has established herself with a new career and a sense of importance.
It's great that they managed to save her character in AG, and hopefully they'll keep her on track, rather than bombing her again by taking away all her character development and her new focus on life by bringing her back on the cast. Since that is unlikely to happen anyway, Misty should be A-OK.

I was frozen today!
I liked her during the Kanto and Orange Islands saga, when her personality was fully presented and defined. She was a hothead, but she cared about others, and Togepi made her more matronly while Koduck kept her aggression front and center. Since everybody's personality started to deteriorate in Jouto, I began to grow tired of Kasumi there, and since she eventually became unsalvageable, I'm glad that the writers realized that she had to go. It's best to put you character into a workable situation than to try and force them into a plotline that won't work for them.

She's okay, but I stil don't want her back on the show. Every so often like what the writers have been doing now is fine, it needs to be done but she's too stale to be on the show full time now.

She was good in her own right as CyberCubed said. I actually preferred it more when it was just her, Ash and Brock.
Anyway, I do love her. Her clothing is certainly more "interesting".

When did Misty act like a spoiled brat? Anyway, as I made blantently obvious when I first got here, I love Misty. She was the reason I watched the show, the best character.

I love Misty. She's one of my favourite characters. =D If she ever returns to the main cast, I hope they give her a better goal, so she will have a good reason to stay.

I've never disliked Misty as a character, butI'd be lying If I said that I wasn't glad that she left.
I"m not annoyed by her personality, but there are some things that related to her that I didn't like.. I personally believe that she shouldn't have gotten the Togepi AT ALL (just because it saw her first?! what a cop-out! of course since it's evolved at left, I don't care all that much anymore) and then there's the fact that I believe that Jessie was more deserving of the dolls than she (hey, at least Misty HAD dolls, hand-me-downs or not, Jessie had JACK SQUAT)
and then there's the fact that most Misty fans are Pokeshippers too, and since I don't support it, I usually stay away from websites and threads dedicated to her.

I liked Misty. She was a hot head, but she was also a very caring person. There were a couple episodes that strongly hinted that she had feelings for Ash on one level or another as well. But I'm also against pokeshipping...so...eh.
I was actually kinda sad that she left. I can't help but enjoy the original trinity of characters the best.

Do I like Misty? No. I do on the other hand, think she was one of the more realistic characters in the show, if not THE most realistic. She just wasn't handled well.
And even if she were... I'd still think she sucked.

She's my favorite female character (my favorite male is James for the record). She was in a rut in Johto, but so was everyone, and since then she's come full circle and had some wonderful character development as a responsible and competent trainer. Plus she's was one of the most multidimensional characters on the show. When you have the constantly perky current cast and the always a bit cardboard Brock, its refreshing to see characters like Misty and TR with many sides to them *shot by majority of the forum*
