The MKDS Retail Demo

Has anyone noticed that the MKDS demo is significantly more different than the actual game? I even noticed a Chain Chomp item in the item box...what exactly is this?

Retail Demos are made before the actual games are finished, so it is still in the early stage of completion.

What I'm mainly wondering about is the chain chomp item...what does it do? Is it like the bullet bill?

The chain chomp in MK: DD!!= You would get dragged along, a la bullet bill, so yes, I believe they would do the same...

Ah yes, the Chain Chomp.

While playing it at Target, I actually got that item and used it.
It basically does the same thing it does in Double Dash, it drags you along.

Although Bullet Bill does the same thing, you don't actually have to control your driving while using it, and it usually launches you into 4th or 3rd place.

Would've been cool if they had both, though. :<
