They're for people who can't afford a subscription to Netflix but still want to experience the anime. So, what's the point of these mangas? I don't get why someone would read a manga that it's exactly equal to the anime.
Promo stuff, like those novelizations of random episodes (idk if they still dot hem but I remember a few AG episodes had some)So, what's the point of these mangas? I don't get why someone would read a manga that it's exactly equal to the anime.
Except TV Tokyo is free. And I doubt that buying a manga has a cost-benefit a lot bigger than a Netflix subscription. They're for people who can't afford a subscription to Netflix but still want to experience the anime.
Anybody who calls gon 'bland' never understood his character to begin withWouldn't mind a blandness akin to Gon
Gon is definitely a bland character, doesn’t have deep motivations like some other mc’s but he has a charm about him. There are other characters in the HxH universe I prefer from a personality standpoint but I don’t think Gon is a bad character. Just simple (esp. until Chimera arc.)Anybody who calls gon 'bland' never understood his character to begin with

Most main characters are mandated bland or generic backstories or designs/actions as vehicles for their stories.
Simple doesn't really mean bland though, bland would be more like say, the generic isekai protagonistsGon is definitely a bland character, doesn’t have deep motivations like some other mc’s but he has a charm about him. I love when people always post the same scenes that happens hundread of chapters into the manga to prove he isn't bland.Anybody who calls gon 'bland' never understood his character to begin with

It's funny also considering all the people that would call SM and JN Ash bland.I'm saddened to see people already talking sh*t about Riko, calling her bland, boring, inferior to Ash. We have barely any real knowledge about her or Roy's personality and character, but people have already jumped to negative conclusions.
This fandom is f-ing miserable.
I really hope that once Ash is gone, some of these people will drop the anime.
But, I can relate myself to Goh pretty much.Goh is very annoying and with a cruel goal but I wouldn’t call him bland
