Since apparently this was oringinally deemed(seemingly) unfit to be posted on the D/P boards at this time, I'll post it here. I spent like 40 minutes on this to let it go to waste.=/
First off, the exact OFFICAL date has yet to be announced in the US. All anyone has to go on is the annoucement made at the Pokemon 10th Anniversary event that D/P would be released in the US in Spring 2007, which could be anywhere from late Febuary to early June.
Second, don't post poorly thought out posts like "I hope it comes out in <blank> 2006 " or "I heard from so and so......" without any effort put into them. Be logical. It takes time to translate, remove bugs, and with the game being WiFi, it will undoubtedly take time to set up the service in the US and make it compatable worldwide, should it be worldwide. Also, take into account the time it will take for the anime and 9th movie dub to reach the US. Nintendo/The Pokemon Company/PUSA has NEVER released a new genreration game without the anime being caught up around the same time frame, which pretty much KILLS any chances of it happening this year. The same applies to the Japanese version, natch. It's all in the advertising folks.=p
For simplicity's sake I am using the US episode numbers on this site.
Also, certain SPOILERS are present and I still cannot get the "SPOILER" tag to work on my PC, so I'll mark a "SPOILER!!!" header where appropriate until I figure it out.
Now then, for MY indepth take.
Now then, if the anime continues at the 2 new episodes a week pace, that leaves about 44 episodes left including the Deoxys Special set to air on the same Saturday(10/28/06) as "Odd Pokemon Out" and "Harley rides Again". So after that week we can break it down like this, assuming that a break for new episodes isn't taken, although it's certianly possible.
11/4/06:
Episodes 437 and 438
11/11/06:
Episodes 439 and 440
11/18/06:
Episodes 441 and 442
11/25/06:
Episodes 443 and 444
(NOTE: I expect an offical release date to be ANNOUCED to the presses around Christmas or early Jan 2007)
12/2/06:
Episodes 445 and 446
12/9/06:
Episodes 447 and 448
12/16/06:
Episodes 449 and 450
12/23/06:
Episodes 451 and 452
12/30/06:
Episodes 453 and 454

(NOTE: This is around the time Aipom joins Ash and around the time the 9th movie was about to be released. It's quite possible that the "2 episodes every Saturday" routine could be altered/temporarily halted for at MOST a month due to prior dubbing in conjuction with the series and release issues to DVD)

1/6/07:
Episodes 455 and 456
1/13/07:
Episodes 457 and 458
1/20/07:
Episodes 459 and 460
1/27/07:
Episodes 461 and 462
2/3/07:
Episodes 463 and 464
2/10/07:
Episodes 465 and the FINAL AG episode, 466
Now, I doubt that D/P will come out that early, especially considering the time it will take for the anime and movie to catch up, and manufacturing the many copies of the game, making the ads and other promotional issues for retail will need time, probably a month.
Assuming all of that gets done miriculously doing the run of the anime, ASSUMING it doesn't halt, the release date will be around the week of 2/11/06 or possibly around the end of that month.
Realistically, adding the time for production copies of the game and the timing of the anime and movie to tie into the release, add 1 to 2 months to that and the game will see US shores anytime from Late Febuary to Late April.
Again, this is just MY take on it and could be way off on any of this, but this seems to be a logical deduction I've thought about for awhile now.
Discuss.
