Note: This is incomplete. More will slowly be added to it.
1.a. Q: What is The Official Fake Games thread?
A: The Official Fake Games thread is a thread created by me (MaskedManAbsolkid) to show people what games are fake so that they don't buy shoddy fakes, don't get conned into buying a game they find is fake and more. The topic provides a list of fake games, pictures and why they are fake. This topic has been created three times. The first two times it was unsuccessful, but the third time it turned into a successful topic, with many people helping out in many different ways, which is hugely appreciated. So thanks all!
1.b. Q: What are the main ways to tell if a game is fake?
A: You will be able to tell if a game is fake in many ways. One major way is if the game doesn't have the Nintendo Seal of Quality. If the game has been endorsed by Nintendo, it's real. Some people will put fake seals on it though. So other ways to tell if it's fake includes pictures (for instance, Chaos Black's boxart has a recolour of Chaos 0 from Sonic Adventure), if the game is basically a hack of another game (for instance, Super Pikachu Land is Super Mario Land with the Mario characters replaced by Pokemon) and the characters in the game (this site's Pokedex shows all the real Pokemon out there, their true colours, their true movesets, etc, so if the game contains other Pokemon or has current Pokemon looking different, etc, it's fake).
1.c. Q: How can I prevent buying a fake game?
A: I'd suggest buying games from respectable stores or from respectable websites where you're not likely to be scammed (for instance, Play.com). If you're buying a game from a place like eBay, check for a few things. These include feedback (a high feedback is neccessary; the more items they've sold/bought, the higher the feedback you should be looking for. Looking at some of the comments is reccomended, as you may see some of the seller's problems), pictures (you should be looking for a picture of the cartridge to see if it's real or not, and you should also see if they give refunds in case the game is fake. These two reasons are main reasons why you should look at feedback), seller (the seller might be known for selling fake games) and description (the description might say it's possible to be fake or might not work perfectly. Also, it might help if the person knows something about the game). If you're going to buy it second hand, used or from a place known for selling a few fake games, check the cartridge first before you make your purchase. If the game is in this list, it is most likely fake.
1.d. Q: I own a fake game. How can I warn others about it?
A: You could report it here along with as much info as possible. I regularly update with new info given to me by others, so check here to see if your info is already up. If not, make a new post with new info. Pictures are recommended. Other ways include warning those who are looking for new Pokemon games, telling whoever you bought it off that the game is fake and giving people info on why it is fake.
2. Fake Games
2.a. Cartridge Colours
Cartridge colour is one of the easiest ways to tell if a Pokemon game is fake. For all main Pokemon games up to Diamond and Pearl, the colour of the cartridge is linked to the colour referred to in the name of the game. For instance, Pokemon Red would have a red cartridge, and Pokemon Crystal would have a seethrough, crystal coloured cartridge. Diamond and Pearl do not have these though.
Also, some games will have cartridges not of the console it's meant to be on. An example of this is Pokemon Sapphire having a Gameboy Color cartridge when it's meant to have a Gameboy Advance cartrige.
Examples of cartridge miscolours and Multi-in-ones.
Fake versions of Pokemon Red, Yellow and Green.

2.b. Games on different consoles
This is where a game is on a console it's not meant to be on. All Pokemon games are on Nintendo consoles excluding a few PC Pokemon games. Before buying a Pokemon game you have doubts about, you should check the console it's on. Make sure it's on the correct console. Many pictures of games on different consoles you see online are most likely not actual released games, but some are actually released pretending to be for these consoles.
Pokemon Dash on the Xbox 360
2.c. Multi-in-one
These are fake games involving legit or fake Pokemon games. Usually, it says there's many games in one, but it's basically up to 11 games repeated again and again. It can start from two games, such as Red and Green or Gold and Silver. Even if the game is real (such as Gold or Crystal), having multiple games in one is fake.
2.d. Pokemon Adventure
This game is an obvious fake. It was made from a Sonic game, which explains the hideous Pikachu. Also, there's no point of the trainer on the Round 1 thing, and what's the point for the Pokedex entry? It's still in Japanese, and that's one way to tell it's a fake. And you also collect pokeballs instead of rings.
2.e. Pokemon Amarillo Solor
This is another Spanish fake. The title roughly translates into 'Pokemon Yellow Sun'. Like the Torterra sprite in Pokemon Iris, the Pikachu sprite is stolen from Pokesho. More info would be appreciated.
2.f. Pokemon Aqua
Pokemon Aqua also uses an edited version of an existing title screen, this one using a Red/Blue/Green title screen. It is unknown if it goes through Pokemon like Red/Blue/Green, but you can see a Magikarp on the title screen. In the corner, it says 'Version 2.4', so it appears to be a ROM. More info would be appreciated.
Pokemon Aqua's starting screen
2.g. Pokemon Arco Iris
The cartridge
The game appears to be in Spanish and stars a trainer I assume to be Ash and also Misty. It appears that you can level up really quick in the game. The game's intro is just like R/S's (with the water dropping off the leaf) except instead of running across a field, you see a Lapras surfing across water and XD001 flying above the water. Thanks to brntcookie for this info.
Pokemon Arco Iris features XD001 on the cover. Help would be appreciated.
2.h. Pokemon BlueSea
Thanks to slm2 for the pic!
Links would be appreciated, but don't link to eBay please.
Pokemon BlueSea is a fake game that is selling on eBay and possibly other places. The boxart shows similarities to that of Pokemon Fire Red/Leaf Green, except Blastoise is in 3D. This is one reason it's fake. It uses the 'Nintendo Seal', yet it's not an official game. We currently have no info on the game itself: Is it Fire Red/Leaf Green with a new sticker slapped onto it? Or is it a new, hacked game?
2.i. Pokemon Brown
This was a game made by somebody called Coolboyman, but it was internet only. Piraters put the game onto cartridge and sold it.
Brown's title screen
2.j. Pokemon Chaos Black
Boxart of the game.
A video of Pokemon Chaos Black's start here
A review of the game by a site. They haven't appeared to notice that they're playing a basic demo.
Pokemon Chaos Black is a game being created by a group of hackers to make a completely new Pokemon game. The story is that four Pokegods have been sealed away, and the main bad guy is seeking them. You're following in your sister's footsteps to become a great Pokemon trainer and stop these bad guys. The one way to tell it is fake is the fact that the main creature on the boxart is a recolour of Sonic Adventure's Chaos 0. Any more help would be appreciated.
2.k. Pokemon: Cry of Celebi
Pokemon: Cry of Celebi is a Pokemon fake starring Celebi. The title screen is the same as Pokemon Gold's except with Celebi instead of Ho-oh. This means it may be set in Johto, but with Celebi as the main Pokemon instead of Lugia and Ho-oh. More info would be appreciated.

2.l. Pokemon Dark
Pokemon Dark is another fake that uses an edited version of an existing title screen. It has a picture of Unown O on it. The word 'Dark' appears to have been made with Paint or a similar program. More info would be appreciated.

2.m. Pokemon DarkCry
Pokemon Darkcry is a fake Pokemon game starring Mew. No official Pokemon game has had an event Pokemon on the front cover, so this is an obvious fake. More info would be appreciated.

2.n. Pokemon Diamond Blue
This is a Pokemon game with Ash on the cover. This is an obvious fake for many reasons. Firstly, it uses anime drawings from the fourth and fifth films (Pokemon 4Ever and Pokemon Heroes respectively). The only game that uses anime drawings is Pokemon Puzzle League for the N64. Secondly, the Pokemon logo is an obvious fake. Thirdly, the game uses both the Pokemon and Pocket Monster names, which hints at a fake. More info would be appreciated.
The boxart with the anime characters on.
2.o. Pokemon Diamond and Jade
These are the most famous fake pokemon games, even though they're not really fake. When Pokemon was released, it had a rival, Telefang, which failed. So another Telefang game was sold, but this time, pirates put a Pokemon sticker on it, to make it look like it was from a pokemon game. It was really stupid, because the monsters called you, and the e-monsters said weird stuff like 'Have you had Curry?' Ebay apparently banned the game, but people still sell it there.

2.p. Pokemon: Frigo Returns
The boxart.
This is a strange one. It has Michael (Pokemon XD) and Lucario on the cover. Not much is known about it. Help would be appreciated.
2.q. Pokemon Genesis
Pokemon Genesis is a fake game starring Arceus. It uses a Fire Red/Leaf Green starting screen even though Arceus is a 4th Gen Pokemon. More info would be appreciated.
http://i27.*******.com/30xhonq.png

2.r. Pokemon GoGo
This was originally a Smurfs game, but somebody changed all of the sprites into Pokemon. It was really bad, seeing as only the sprites were changed. It was a very fat Pikachu you played as, and you did things like get into bubbles, and dodge pies thrown by Meowth. What proves it's unofficial is all of the pokemon art on the cover, which is possible to make on a computer.
2.s. Pokemon Iris
Pokemon Iris is a Pokemon game with Torterra in the title screen. The way to tell that this is fake is that the Torterra sprite is stolen from Pokesho. More info would be appreciated.
The title screen
2.t. Pokemon: Kohaku Adventures
Pokemon: Kohaku Adventures is a very mysterious game. For one, the starting screen reveals nothing about the game, as it's just a black screen with the Pokemon logo and the words 'Kohaku Adventures'. The name Kohaku Adventures reveals absolutely nothing about the game. More info on this would be appreciated.
books has provided some more info:
The mysterious title screen.
2.u. Pokemon Liquid Crystal
Pokemon Liquid Crystal is a fake Pokemon game starring Suicune. It is a remake of Pokemon Crystal and a hack of Fire Red. It contains many new features that G/S/C didn't have.
Click here for more info. Thanks to books for the info
The title screen with Suicune.
2.v. Pokemon Liquid Ocean
This is a fake game that appears to star Milotic. Like many other fakes, it uses an edited version of a starting screen from an actual Pokemon game. This is obviously fake as Milotic most likely would not be on the cover of an actual Pokemon game and no Pokemon game has a shiny Pokemon on the start screen. More info would be appreciated.
The starting screen with shiny Milotic.
2.w. Pokemon: Lugias Ocean
This is a Pokemon game for the Gameboy Advance. More info would be appreciated.
A picture of the boxart. It is obviously fake as there is meant to be an apostrophe before the S in Lugias.
2.x. Pokemon Naranja
Pokemon Naranja appears to be a Spanish game, though I may be wrong. In Spanish, Naranja means Orange.
The boxart
Here's a post from someone who owns Pokemon Naranja.
2.y. Pokemon Opal
Pokemon Opal is what many people thought was going to be the third game to go with Diamond and Pearl. It appears that someone got a DS box, made a convincing fake boxart and put it inside the plastic cover of the box to make it look real. We know for a fact that this is fake as the third game to go with Diamond and Pearl is Platinum.
2.z. Pokemon Perla
The boxart
...Another boxart?
Latias_24 has the game and gave us this info:
2.a.a. Pokemon Prism
Pokemon Prism is a game with very little known about it. It uses a Gold/Silver-like style as it uses a Larvitar sprite from G/S/C and the Pokemon sign from G/S/C. It is made by 'Koolboyman', who appeared to have also made Pokemon Brown. More info would be appreciated.
The title screen
2.a.b. Pokemon Quartz
Pokemon Quartz is a fake with a picture of Gyarados on the cover. You can tell it's a fake as it uses a picture of Gyarados from a Trading Card Game card. More info would be appreciated.
The boxart with a picture of Gyarados from the Trading Card Game.
2.a.c. Pokemon Ruby Destiny: Reign of Legends
Pokemon Ruby Destiny is another fake game, this one focusing on the legendary Pokemon of the world, eventually being able to meet the 'ultimate Legendary'. This is fake for many reasons. First off, it uses a mix of FR/LG and D/P sprites. As you know, the trainer sprites in D/P are bigger than those in FR/LG, so it doesn't work well. Secondly, many words are spelt wrong, such as Arceus. Finally, random Pokemon cries are used for the D/P legendaries. For instance, Volbeat's cry is used for Mesprit.
Mr.Mudkip has provided some videos for us.
2.a.d. Pokemon Shiny Gold
One of the boxarts
Another boxart with cartridge
2.a.e. Pokemon Zephyr
Pokemon Zephyr is a fake Pokemon game that uses a mix of 3rd Gen and 4th Gen sprites. It contains legendaries such as Darkrai and Celebi. More info would be appreciated.
2.a.f. 'Sequel' games
These are games which have a number after them, possibly indicating that they are sequels. Note that no main Pokemon game (R/B/Y/G/G/S/C/R/S/E/FR/LG/D/P/P) has had a sequel with a number next to the name. Not much is known about these, but they are believed to be edited versions of the game they are a sequel of.
Pokemon Emerald 2
On the left is Pokemon Emerald 3. On the right is a multi-in-one with Pokemon Red, Blue and Yellow.
2.a.g. Super Pikachu Land
This was a game starring Pikachu. It is basically the Gameboy game Super Mario Land. All of the characters have been changed from Mario characters to Pokemon. They used the overworld pokemon sprites, but they had things like Togepi and Pikachu on the front cover. I own the game, and it's the same as Super Mario Land, but Pokemon-like. The bosses have been unchanged.
3. More Info
If you have any info on any of these fake games, please post it here. It would be a great help.
Thanks to Kim62 for the help! I'll be translating the page you gave me!
Thanks to palamon, Mr.Mudkip, Dodogyuuun and ~Spacial Rendation~ for some of the pics!

I have uncovered some information on the game Pokemon: Kohaku Adventures. I found a topic on it here:

Apparently, is was called Pokemon: Solid Brown. That is found here:

I actually played Pokemon Naranja. The game is create by a person named Serg!o, a Spanish who he says he likes to make fanmade hacks to the actually Pokemon Games, but he doesn't actually wanted to sell it. The translations of English in his games are so poor, it is laughable. This game is a hack of Pokemon Ruby. In Pokemon Naranja, one question is, why is the Pokemon on the cover Celebii. So far in my game, Celebii does appear once.
You can play as Ash(boy) or Misty(Girl). The storyline is pretty much the same like the one on the Anime, collect the four badges. There are other realistic things about the game, too, like the Crystal Onix, and especially, Brock's love with Professor Ivy. Jesse, James, and Meowth also appear in the game, too, as a villain. One other noticable feature is the color of the Pokemon in the Orange Islands. The Pokemon are customly colored differently. For example, Bellosom is blue, and it has yellow flowers. Vileplume has a strange yellow pattern on its petals.
For the gym battle, you actually have to complete the minigame like the ones from the Anime in order to battle them. In the Danny Battle, before you fight him, you must actually first freeze the geyser with ice beam and ride it as a sled down a hill to be the first one to get to the battle. Overall, I think this is interesting.
A lot of the sprites look custom made, like the palm trees on the islands. Pallet town actually looks better than the one in Firered, in my opinion.
Overall, I think this game is great, even though it is a fan hack.

Serg!o also create some more hacks, pretty much all the Spanish ones up there.
Actually, my friend bought that game. He got fed up with it and gave it to me, so I played it. At the beginning, it had some f-words in it, and all the starters are different. The town are badly made, the graphics are horrible, and you can never past town 3. Although the town looks different, when your sprite walk around, you will bang into invisible walls. They just remade it from ruby/sapphire because at the second town, it looks slightly like odale, and at the third town is still petalburg.
The fact that you can't enter the gym make you unable to proceed on your journey, and the game obviously ends there. Not all the pokemon sprites are new though. Only a few are remade. The others are normal pokemon sprites. You can also encounter latias and latios in the route between Petalburg and Odale.
