Myself: I really can't decide. I was thinking about LG, because I never got to play the actual pokemon green version *since it was only in japan*. But, then again, I really dislike venusaur, even if I do choose it as a starter half of the time... I am thinking about maybe FR, because when you order it off of the Pokemon Center *the website*, you get a free keychain. Well, at least it wasn't a 3 game choice, or else I could never decide. Well, what do you choose, ;006; FireRed or LeafGreen ;003;?

P.S. ;000; I also wanted LG because the old green version was said to be even more glitchy than any of the games. Probably not true with the updated version, though.

Well, your initial argument that you "never got to play the actual Pokemon Green version" is a bit moot, considering Leaf Green is a essentially the game we called Blue Version in the US.

Your second argument about the keychain is also moot, since they are offering the same deals for both versions.

Your third point about Green being the most glitchy has no bearing on these games, since they are entirely rewritten, with no carryover code from the originals.

Back to the original question, I am getting both. I have preordered both of them and will probably focus my attention to Green, since it's the first time a Green colored Pokemon has been released in the States. Wuldn't you know we're getting Emerald soon too, so that will be two Green carts.

I already have two FireReds and one LeafGreen from Japan. If you have Ruby, Sapphire, and Colosseum, FireRed allows you to get more additional Pokemon that you would not already have than Green does. In the end, it doesn't really matter. Unlike RuSa, the storyline is the same in either game, and the only differences are really based on which starter you pick.

Well I am getting two Fire red's and one Leaf green. I did the same thing with Ru and Saph. I have two Ruby's and one Sapphire.


I really wish it was the 8th already.. thats when my Gamestop gets them in.

I've already got a fire red, but i don't see much difference, apart from the picture on the box. I also like the exclusive pokemon in FR better than the LG ones.

Im getting LG first because I always buy the 2nd game first. I bought Blue, Silver and Sapphire first. I bought Red, Gold and Ruby 2nd.

I eventually want to get both but I chose green first. I like sneasel and misdreavus and slowking a lot so I chose this version.

well leaf green has more pokemon and the best tital screen.but fire red has a better name,a cooler box and it has scyther and electabuzz

I am geting FIRE REd, I don't like the box of Keaf Green even though green is my fav colour but venarsaur 's face is horrible and disgustin, the box of fire red is better and the pokemon are better, there's 10 leaf green pokemon I could get off ruby so that makes fire red have more pokemon for me

I prepaid for both games, I want all of the pokemon, I'm going to play LeafGreen first to get good pokemon to trade over to my FireRed I'm going to make FireRed my main game just as Ruby if currently my main game, I just like Fire pokemon better than Grass pokemon, I was Even a little disappointed when I found out Groudon was a Ground type and not a Fire type, but then tyhere are already 3 Legendary Fire types so I guess Ground should get at least one

Now I have a few more reasons why I can't decide...

Attack Deoxys is not what I want, because it seems a bit weaker than Defense Deoxys, and I am more into defense...

Skarmory, my fave pokemon...not on Leaf Green??? But...but I want my Shiny Skarmory that I have longed for!!! Skarm, the Shiny Skarmory, my dream Pokemon...

Well, I am not much of a Deoxys fan, so...probably Fire Red. Well, I am pretty sure, anyways. Besides, my original normal Pokemon Red was stolen from me, so I need it replaced with something...*other than my ruby*...I guess Fire Red will work. K, seeya!

LG because I want Sneasel and a bunch of other cool version exclusive Pokémon. The only one I want out of FR is Growlithe. So LG for me!!
