How would the existence of the, to use a game-centric term, 'event legendaries' be explained in the real world?
Would they just be recognized as historic figures that existed at some point in time way in the past, or what?
I apologise in advance for the dark tone this post is going to take.
In the Pokemon world, trainers go off and start their journeys at age 10, I have my concerns with this. In the real world, people are a lot more sinister than they are in the Pokemon world, generally speaking. Paedophiles, abductors and many other sorts of evil are rife. I don't think we'd be letting children as young as 10 leave to start their Pokemon journeys. Maybe the age would be a little higher, like 16, 18 or 21?
Also, would Pokemon Centres be able to function completely free of charge?

I think there'd be a McDonalds where they served Miltank.
Normally I'd be against such a thing, but then I remembered Whitney.
Rhyperior used earthquake! You caused over $1,000,000,000 of property damage and killed 2000 people!
It's super effective! A critical hit!
Anyway, like Pink said, there would have to be rules and regulations about that kind of stuff. I suppose it would work like the anime, where there would have to be a referee of sorts to keep the battle in order and within the law. Hydreigon using Draco Meteor would not be permitted where it would cause unsafe harm to humans/property etc.
