I was going to start a club like this in a week or so. I'm just a casual Magic player...just started January. My favorite card is Tolsimir Wolfblood and I'd love to be a Selesnya wolf rider.

I guess I'll join, if that's okay. I've been playing casually for a year or two using borrowed decks, but just recently started to construct a deck of my own. I'm still just a casual player and admittedly don't know a whole lot, but I do like the game.

Favorite card: Burning-Tree Shaman
Favorite cards I actually own: Kird Ape, Wild Mongrel, Rancor, Lightning Bolt

Yes, I'm playing a sloppy Red/Green deck. I guess my favorite guild would be Gruul, then...

I've been getting Ravnica packs a lot of late in hopes of getting a Doubling Season but I haven't gotten any yet D:

I did get a Blazing Archon though. Awesome creature, even though it isn't Selesnya. I love the art. Who wouldn't want to ride a flying lion? What I never understood, though, is why the rider is wearing a blindfold.

On another note, I was able to have a lot of fun with my deck today. Imagine playing against a Selesnya with not one, but two Glorious Anthems out, and making two tokens a turn. Just when it can't get better, I toss out Tolsimir with 18 tokens out. They're now 4/4s. Next turn to rub it in, I Overwhelm and swing with all the tokens. There were 21 7/7 saprolings coming at my opponent. Fun.

I like using my nice 9/14 wurm with trample and convoke. the down side is that it cost 15 to play. I have taken a liking to the simic now, Monir Vig is my freind!

I've loved the Boros, too. They have a sense of organization no other guild does...and they ride flying creatures too. Blazing Archon is a Boros creature but it isn't red.

Oh, I got into Grul once. I like the Street Breacker Wurms.

You know what's more organized than Boros?.. Azutious Senate. They are Ravnica's court.

I don't really like the guilds in Dissension either. Azorius looks boring to play, Rakdos seems too inconsistent even for hobby tournaments (only the most casual of play)...Simic does look fun but it's expensive to do right. *shudders at the price of Voidslime, yet he needs 4 to play the deck*

Tomorrow, I'm probably going to get the Charge of the Boros deck to pump up my puny red-white. Also I'm gonna teach a friend of mine how to play Magic.
