Stay up all night thinking of that one, did you?
I think he just read it off of the MLB.com's first page.

Also, GARRETT FREAKIN' JONES!!! 10 HRs in 21 games so far this year. Which projects to 77.1 HRs over a full year. Watch out Barry, Jones is coming for your single season HR title next year.

Nah, I thought it up in about two seconds.

Jones makes for a nice story, but I doubt he can maintain this level of offensive production.

Well, goodbye to Jack Wilson and Freddy Sanchez. Good riddance to Ian Snell. I am loving these trades.

What a terrible trade for the Indians.... I mean wow.

We give up Lee for nothing!

We got a SS... when we already have four guys on our major league roster who can play SS...
We got a catcher... when we have the number one catching prospect in the league in Carlos Santana waiting in AA...
We got Jason Knapp who throws 97... but he plays in A ball. He'll surely have thrown his arm out by AAA.

And finally we got Corrasco. Which isn't bad but he ain't no Kyle Drabek... or JA Happ... and he ain't gonna win no Cy Young's.

On the bright side we finally got rid of the dismal Francisco. Now maybe Brantley or LaPorta can come up from AAA!

Indians-
Worst manager in the league
Worst GM in the League
Second worst owner in the league.(Pirates number one)

Well, Chris Tillman is making his major league debut for the O's. He's given up two solo homers so far, but hey, it's only his first start. Reimold has made a case for Rookie of the Year in the outfield. So, at least there's a future to look forward to. And if the O's make a trade for one of our players, I'm sure that there could be even more to look forward to.

But wow, what about how's Mark Buehrle pitched? A perfect game, then going perfect through five innings in the next start. That's pretty darn incredible. He's certainly appears to be one of the better pitchers in the league now.

He would have to play like a man possessed to make up for not being called up until mid-May; I wouldn't put money on it.

Make a trade for one of what?

A perfect game, then going perfect through five innings in the next start.

A perfect game is a perfect game, as is the major league consecutive retired batters record he just set, but do realize that he then imploded and took the loss shortly thereafter. Historic accomplishments and major league records are great, but so is winning.

Leads AL rookies in home runs, second in RBIs, .287 batting average, .374 OBP, Rookie of the Month in June. Yeah, there are definitely some pitchers out there that have been doing really good and are probably more likely to win Rookie of the Year, but he's definitely a canidate.

Sorry, my bad. I meant if the O's trade one of their players, such as Sherrill, Huff, or Scott, they're going to get back some young talent. MacPhail is not going to make them cheap.

Well, how would you have pitched after the most incredible streak of pitching in your career was snapped? It's a big letdown.

Sucks to hear that Roy Halladay isn't going anywhere, and many Blue Jays fans blame it on J.P. Ricciardi the GM.

Well, too bad he's the loser of all trade deadlines champs and chumps...but there's always a next time, I suppose.

Feelings on the Cubs-Bucs trade? I heard Dave Littlefield likes the trade for the Cubs.

It's trading mediocrity for [perhaps slightly-above] mediocrity, really. Hart has better stuff than I initially gave him credit for, but he was due for an implosion any start now - you can't let men on base like he does and hope to emerge unscathed against a competent team that isn't the Nats or the Reds or the Astros.

Ascanio was another right-handed reliever with a live arm and poor control; he had potential, but that archetype is a dime a dozen in any team's system.

Harrison, even I hadn't heard of, but the scouting reports say his ceiling is a Jamey Carroll-type player, who does nothing great but many things sort-of-okay and projects as a utilityman in the majors.

On the Cubs side, Grabow is what he is, a left-handed reliever who will ostensibly be used to neutralize key left-handed hitters and provide Lou with another such option in the pen, allowing him more freedom to use Sean Marshall as something more than a lefty specialist.

I like Gorzelanny's potential as a cheap, back-of-the-rotation left-handed starter and we'll see if he's figured anything out when he starts against the Reds next week.

For what it's worth, Littlefield has an excellent reputation as a scout, he simply can't be trusted in any actual decision-making capacities.

I have to say that I'm dissapointed if in fact the claim that David Ortiz did PEDs is legit. After all his talk about how bad steroid users are, I figured he'd be the last one we'd find out was using them. Although I guess you'd say something like that to cast the blame from yourself. Plus, I'm probably still too naive about these things.

And about this list it supposedly came from, can we just burn it or tell who's on it? It's annoying that every few weeks someone else's name gets leaked out.
The general colloquial definition is that the game has to have passed the minimum official length - that's five innings - to consider a no-hitter as having been "broken up."
Yeah that makes sense, since it wouldn't officially count until then anyway. I figured it would be around the # number of innings required for a win, so I was close but for the wrong reason.
What a Wise move to put DeWayne in as a defensive replacement, eh?

I didn't think he'd go anywhere once the Phillies took Cliff Lee. Although I heard someone on tv suggest they'd still get Halladay. That'd be pretty over the top.

Oh wow.... I knew it would happen but seeing Victor get traded hurts so much.

He was the heart and soul of the Indians... they were a team with him, and now they're just a group of players...

He wanted to play for us his whole career and cried when he heard of the news too...

This is terrible.

The past two years the Indians have traded away Sabathia, Paul Byrd, Casey Blake, Ryan Garko, Lee, Rafial Betancourt, Mark DeRosa, and the one that hurts the most.. Victor.
...
But what can you do? it's a buisness.

Problem is a lot of the time he choose those guys in those trades, based on liking them as a scout. So, take that with a grain of salt.

Also, ANDREW McCUTCHEN!!!! He is a god!

Except that he's nothing more than a scouting coordinator/assistant with the Cubs. He's not serving in any sort of decision-making capacity and therefore he contributes nothing but a report on the player in question. He presently has no power to ruin a franchise like he did when he was running yours.

lol. Did you guys see the video of the race with the presidents and perogies from the Nationals/Pirates game the other day? They're having a relay race in Pittsburgh, and one of the perogies just tackles one of the presidents. It was pretty funny. Although I'd've been annoyed if I was the guy in the president suit.

Also, a question. I see a lot of times on ESPN when there's a replay of a player being ejected they'll say something like 'check your umpire ejection fantasy league'. I always thought it was just a joke, but they said it so much I'm starting to wonder. Is there really anything like that?

Oh wow.... I knew it would happen but seeing Victor get traded hurts so much.
I thought it sucked that they traded him and it was going to be his bobblehead night a few days later. Although I guess they don't plan everything beforehand. And they're not gonna put off the trade for the bobblehead thing. It was just a weird coincidence, I guess.
Also, ANDREW McCUTCHEN!!!! He is a god!
Yeah I saw that 3HR game he had the other day. That was pretty good. They'll probably trade him next year...

The pirogi freaking laid out Roosevelt. Best play at PNC this year.

Also no, there's no such thing as an umpire ejection fantasy league. It's just Steve Berthiaume making funny.

I was laughing my butt off when I saw that for the first time. Poor Teddy. He can't get a win anywhere it seems.

It would be awesome if someone just made one up for fun. Hmm...ejections, strike outs, arguements...hey, that might be a good idea.

Also, I loved it when I went back to the Fantasy Baseball team I hadn't updated in months due to being busy. I found out that I was first place in my league.

I can't believe he'd never won a race anywhere. Maybe they could let him ride a horse next time. Wait, he was the one in the roughriders, right?

Does anyone have races at their home park? I know there's the sausages, presidents & perogies, are there other good ones? I know at Royals games they've raced as bottles of ketchup, mustard & relish, as well as different kinds of hot dogs. Those both seem kind of weak, but I don't know what else they'd run as. Maybe different kinds of barbeque...

Yeah, that's why I thought it would be possible. It might have something to do with the quality of the calls. Like, if they frequently call a guy out/safe when the opposite is true, or call lots of strikes that are way off the plate (although that might be hard to judge).

That'd be cool. That reminds me of the Futurama episode when Fry checked his savings account and had billions of dollars.

I was at that game more or less right behind where it happened. Everyone went nuts when it happened. We also all got to laugh at the bat boy in I think the next inning. Adam Dunn hit a broken bat single, and a part of the bat ended up on the outfield grass. The batboy fell flat on his face after picking it up.
