BOO!
New Pokemon's English Names

This thread is to duscuss possible English names you have come up with or may try to come up with for the 5 new recently revealed Pokemon. Sorry if there's a thread like this, but I searched and found nothing. So does anyone have names for Cherimu, Dorapion, Pachirisu, Parukia, or Diaruga?

I thought possibly Scorpoison for Dorpion, a mix of poison and scorpion, but my ideas are always horrible.

Anyway, discuss!

Edit: People started to discuss the other Pokemon, so I thought I should mention that Manafi, Perappu, Buizeru, and Tamanta don't have English names yet either, although Manafi and the other Legendaries names will likely remain the same or almost identical.

No, come up with your own. What do you think they should be called. I don't know if you saw the Parappu's English name thread, but this thread is supposed to be like that for the newly revealed Pokemon.

Legendaries pretty much keep their names, so we'll end up seeing them as Pearlkia and Dialga/Diarga. Probably Drapion will keep its name as well.

I like your Scorpoison idea. :3
That sounds like a good name for it.

Pachirisu - Zapirrel?... XD (Zap+Squirrel)

I don't like Cherimu much, so I wont bother trying to think of a possible name fort it. Also, I'm going to guess that the legendaries will keep their names. Spelling might change, so that they're easy for Americans to pronounce (like what they did with Lucario, since so many of us don't know that 'R' IS the Japanese 'L'), but I can't imagine what else they'd call them.

I am not good at making up names but I think pachirisu will become Chirichu

Lucario's name NEVER changed. >_> Joe's just too stubborn to use the actual English spelling used for the Japanese name instead of using the Romanized spelling of the name.

Maybe Zquirap for Pachirisu? Zap + Squirell. Man I suck at naming. If I worked for Game Freak Pikachu would be called Zuguh.

Edux

Manaphy who!!??
I think that Dorapion is going to keep it's japanese name

Squirlachu for Pachirisu.

-Judai
......Squirlachu?!

This is whta we resorted to? Pathetic attempts to guess for names? No offense Judai at all, but this is now in general. Why don't we wait to see the names, and stop coming up with Zapirrel and Squirlachu.

Allow me to say it again. It's DRAPION. Not Dorapion. Drapion is the proper literal spelling.

Just because Joe says it doesn't mean it's true. >_> Drapion makes more logical sense in a literal spelling than "Dorapion." Dorapion would be the ROMANIZED spelling of the name.

Well thus far, Dorapion is the only name confirmed for this pokemon.
