The Official WWE/AEW Thread, Brother!

LMFAO at Gunther naming Goldberg as his favorite wrestler in front of Bret.
LMFAO at WALTER then going ahead on Bad Blood to admit he was lying. ****ing brilliant stuff, love the man

AJ Styles is back!

CM Punk and Drew McIntyre stole the show at Bad Blood!

Punk/Drew stealing the show is an understatement, genuinely the only thing worth watching (aside from the WALTER promo). This was the intensity I expected from their first 2 matches as well, but they got too busy making Seth a focal point & then doing the worst version of a strap match. Still, a great time of a match.

AJ Styles is back!
I wanna see him wrestle The Rock especially if he plans on retiring soon. AJ's competed against some of the very best in the business.

Kurt Angle
Sting
Undertaker
Dusty Rhodes
Kazuchika Okada
Hiroshi Tanahashi
Tetsuya Naito
Booker T
Scott Hall

Him and Shelton Benjamin both wrestled each other a while back but it paled in comparison to the type of match they could've had when Shelton was in his prime. Shelton recently went to AEW but it's too bad he never went to TNA when the company was red hot.

Watched the 2001 Royal Rumble, this match had a lot of good stuff going on from beginning to end. Some hardcore spots, Kane had the most eliminations, Triple H attacked Stone Cold during his entrance, Big Show destroyed everyone in the ring. Rock vs Austin spot. A guy in the crowd cosplaying as a member of Right to Censor had some funny signs.

We are 5 days into the year and already have our MOTY. Congratulations to Kenny Omega and, more importantly, Gabe Kidd. A genuine show-stealer of a match that, much like Hart/Austin at Mania 13, gives the textbook definition of "putting someone over in defeat". It is a 30 minute match that feels like 15 with how much fun I was having, and if there is any justice in this world then NJPW are in for a killer year. What a genuine pleasure to get this match on my birthday, of all days.

It's that time of year again already? Sheesh lol. Oh well I guess. Rumbles are looking pretty STACKED this year at least. It's just... unfortunate... to put it mildly... that the Rumbles in 2026 will likely be bad due to it being in KSA and the women looking ugly again in the really bad full bodysuits.

Either way... here we go again lol...

Mega's 2025 Royal Rumble who he thinks will win and who he wants to win the Royal Rumble matches:

Men:

Who I want to win: John Cena. Sorry not sorry. It's his final year.
Who I think will win: The Rock. ****ing asshole always has to ruin everything

Women:

Who I want to win: Becky Lynch. Look I get it and it's not this is who 'deserves' to win or who 'should' win it's who I want to win lol. Some surprise winner could be nice though and there's not really one particular woman I'm leaning towards this year like last year. That's what makes it more interesting though doesn't it?
Who I think will win: Charlotte Flair. See above for the men. Just seems likely. Unfortunately.

Disappointed in not seeing Jade Cargill in the Women's Rumble. The tag match and the WWE Championship match were whatever. The Tozawa spot was heavily exaggerated, he acted like he got RKO'd when it was just a small hit from the back, all of that just to get replaced by IShowSpeed. Jey Uso took both Jeff Hardy's Whisper in the Wind and The Rock's spit punch. AJ Styles returning and Jey Uso winning the Rumble were the biggest surprises in this match.

When AJ got to the ring I was wondering if him and Punk were gonna go at it but there was very little contact between the two, just shows much real life beef they have. Anytime an interviewer mentions CM Punk AJ tries his absolute best to brush it off.
