Just some 5-10 minute sketches i did of the Kanto Starters. If im bored i sketch and this is what happened last night. Its been awhile since i drew these three. I am aware of some of the mistakes in them. Bulbasaur looks a little odd but these werent meant to be perfect drawings. Theyre just random sketches. I might draw the other starters if i get bored enough. Drawing in the moment is much more fun than forcing yourself to draw. It also allows for more mistakes :p Anyway heres the sketches

Thst is really good. And it's just a doodle! JUST A DOODLE! That is really good. I wish I could draw like that!

Nice. I like the Squirtle the best, but then I'm always for the water-type starters. ;)

Yeah i think Squirtle looks the best but i did spend more time on him. I dont like how Bulbasaur turned out now but it was just a doodle, not suppose to be perfect. Some of the best pics happen when youre bored.

Very well done for just a doodle.

The Squirtle's pose is nice as is Charmander’s, and the shading is great too. I would consider being a little careful with the bulb upon Bulbasaur’s back, it looks a little out of shape.

But anyways, good none the less, perhaps you could post a coloured version up along with it, just to see what it would be like, I for one think it would look nice coloured. Though I don't want to make you do anything you don't want to XD

I was thinking of coloring them is anyone thought they would look good colored. I agree about Bulbasaur's bulb, ive always had a problem with that. I can fix it up though. I Didnt really take much time on it just scribbled a few lines. It wasnt meant to be very good but now i really like it.

Heh, I normally draw quick sketches on lined paper...but then I realize that it's some of my best work yet, I curse myself for not using plain paper when I do that XD

Because Bulbasaurs bulb is rounded, it is hard to get the right shading to make it the backmost leaf of the bulb to look as if it is in the background, so perhaps more shading would do the trick?

But anyways, keep up the good work!
