All the bases I have come across are too small, deformed, or just plain not my taste. :\. Even with the the items that blocks holes... What route is your secret base. What makes it special? Have you come across the 'perfect' one?

I agree with 2112. -_-; I often reach my item limit before I can fill up my base. As for my base, I prefer to hang out at Route 119 (the bushes not too far from Fortree City). It's nice and roomy, and it's pretty close to a city, so you can easily fly to the city and take a short walk there. However, the secret base over Route 111 is very roomy, even though you have to get through quite a lot to get to it.

my base is on route 110, near NEW MAUVILLE. i think its gotta do with how you place your decorations, 16 is enough for me and my base looks really awesome...just my opinion XD.

i think if you put large items and dolls or even expensive items it'll make your base look like a million dollar property.

my base has
2 boards (to cover the holes)
1 large circular blue mat with a big rhydon doll
1 pretty table with a big lapras doll plus 2 pretty chairs
2 posters (seviper and wingull)
1 red tent
1 gorgeous plant
1 cute TV
1 large circular mat in front of the TV. (forgot which mat it was)
1 statue that i got from the lilycove art museum guy.
1 other item which i forgot

I suggest the secret base near the river just at the start of route 120. It has a snug room area. Great to walk around in.

I just look for Secret Bases which are REALLY hard to find :p Just to give anyone who mixes records with me a challenge. Route 119 is good, and Route 115 too, and the entire sea, pretty much... My current Secret Base is in Route 127.

All of the secret bases in route 111 are easy enough to get to. Fly to Lavaridge (the one with flannerys gym) jump down the ledges and make sure that you have a Mach Bikle just incase you need one to reach it. No more than 3 mins, tops.

They're two sides of the base near new mauville. Which side is it?

I find ash collecting very boring and time consuming. It's almost impossible without repels...

^ ^; Oh really? Nice! I always figured that the fastest way to Route 111's secret bases was through Route 113 (and through an army of Spindas just waiting to come after you). Thanks for the new shortcut. >_> You know, now that I think of it, there was a secret base on Route 118 that's exactly the same as the base on Route 111. All you have to do is fly to Mauville City, surf to your right, and there's two caves (possible secret bases) and a tree. The tree is just as roomy as the tree in Route 111.

My secret base in Sapphire is on RT 119, under the long bridge and next to the waterfall. It's roomy yet spread out, right near a waterfall, near good fishing area, near Fortree City, has a good soil for berry growing patch right outside, and it rains on that route all the time! I <3 my secret base...it's full of Pikas! ^^

I cant figure out how to get the 'holeblockers' , and I don't have a secret base now. I gave up. to little items, too little spacre, and to MUCH troble getting there and figuring out how to make it work with what you've got! If I could find the right items and all, I could make it work, even with the fact that the item limit is messed up and wooden planks count as a decoration( who would put wooden planks down just to look good?!) but then add in the fact that you cant even place a stupid TV on a stupid stand and it's not worth it! What are you supposed to do in it, anyway? you cant heal in them, you cant use it as an extra item storage space, you can't even see close ups of the decorations! Useless and boring. You can't even sell the decorations once find out its useless and boring.

On the other hand, if you do find a good base and have good, fun items, its fun to walk aroung in and decorate. I'm kinda neutral, though it looks like a'm anti base. thanks for the base tips! If i find a cool base, i'll let you know. Also, if you know where to get planks and stuff, PM me.

From what I heard, those "hole blockers" are sold at the Lilycove Department Store, but only when they're having a sale (you might want to watch TV in someone's house to be able to tell when the sale's going on because it's random). Most of us who don't have these or can't get it (because the sales only occur after you beat the Elite Four at least once), then we usually go after secret bases that don't require these. Some of the bases everyone already mentioned don't have holes and have lots of room, and some are even close and easy enough to get to. As for the point in having secret bases in the first place, do you remember the old days back in the Gold/Silver/Crystal time when they had the mystery gift that allows you get a chance to collect furniture and decorations in your room or items? Well, Nintendo was trying to bring back that feature to the Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald generation, but they gave it a little boost. You can still decorate your room (only with dolls and cushions however), but you can also take your "home away from home" where ever you go once you have the Secret Power ability available to you. It lets you pick out which area you want to make into your "room" and gives you the same features as they did in the old games, even though there are still a few limits. :/

What's annoying that the Hole Blockers or whatever you call it count as a furnishing (Max. is 16, so if you place the Hole Blocker it'll count)

The best secret base ive found till now is in the Registeel route. When you're in your way to go to Registeel (before the tall grass) you'll see a secret base, It's the best one I've found, and you could plant berries right infront of it ^_^

Always save big amount of money when a sale is about to come so you'll be able to buy everything, I've had a hard time cause I was training my Pokemon and saving the money at the same time, so no Potions and all of that.
