It's interesting how alot of people treat "furries" and "Pokephiles" as if it's something that's only just come about. To some extent I can see how a person could find the idea of a person being attracted to something not entirely (or not at all) human... but hey, wierder stuff has happened before. n.n'' And we're not exactly hurting anyone or breaking any laws, are we?

Also, I have a feeling this Ditto guy is just a troll, having some shits and giggles by playing around on here >.>

It might also help if I explained how I got here. . .

A long time ago I was looking through images on google when I acidentally came across a fanart depicting a female, half anthro swampert doing. . . questionable things with a human. at the time I thought it was horrible, but afterwards I couldn't stop thinking about it. eventually I went searching for that same picture, and when I found it I found others from the same artist and I was able to accept them, and eventually admire them artisticly.
since then I have downloaded that whole album and also found and downloaded works from other artists.
I can't remember when it was that I found the ATP thread. . . maybe it was when I was looking for swampert. but it was because of the ATP thread that I signed up to serebii.

I'm not going to say anything about what is right or wrong, sick or sane, because that is a waste of time. I just want to meet people who share my interest in good art.

P.S. I've liked every good pokemon fan art up till now, but I'd draw the line at hentai manga with speach bubbles that are in engligh (it's worse when you know what they're saying)

Attraction to Gardevoir and other humanoid Pokemon such as Lucario, Gallade, and Lopunny is rather common, so it doesn't always mean that you're attracted to Pokemon in general. Though in saying that, you could be. *shrugs*

I think it's neat to see someone so openly explain their encounter with Pokephilia and the art. <: I have to strongly agree with the art-side to it, how some are just so amazingly drawn it's so hard to not find it appealing.

I've found a good couple of artists on AGNPH (alot of the stuff there is completely the opposite, though) whose drawing skills as well as shading and overall image is very attractive. One artist in particular (can't remember their name, unfortunately) actually got me interested in the Charmander, Cyndaquil, and Scyther lines. n.n

Here's a question, then:
Have artists and certain artworks encouraged your attractions, or brought forth new ones?

Yeah, I would say it counts, even though it looks very human-like... oh well, it bridges the gap between being attracted to humans and being attracted to pokemon.

Similarly, I came across the club on google search while I was searching up something involving Suicune, and this club was the reason I signed up to Serebii.

Yes, somewhat... I first started liking Gabite when I saw this one appealing picture of it from the anime, then I started liking it a ton after seeing some fanart of it. As for all the other pokemon I like: I just looked through a list of pokemon on Bulbapedia to look for and find out which ones I liked the most.

Well, I never know of the artist names since I never checked x3 But the artist who draws the Arcanine, Dante, that artist made me just love Arcanine even more than I already did.

I personally think that to be not true. There are a lot of good artists and pictures on AGNPH. I could name several right off the top of my head.

Yes. a lot of my fetishes come from seeing some kind of image, or something along the lines and it intrigues me.

Someone whom you have regular contact with comes accross this thread or pokepron through your search history or whatev's. What action do you take?

(Also, I heard mention of Articuno. This image isn't sexually explicit but might be considered pornographic despite the fact no genetalia or breasts are visible. The artwork is *fantastic* and can it be found here: rule34.paheal.net/post/vies/325383?search=articuno . Well worth a view.)

Everyone else knows, but I would be a bit paniced if the guy I like saw it, I don't know how he would react .-. I would say I didn't look it up xD

Lucky you, having it out there in the open. I'm constantly deleting my history and getting paranoid whenever someone is using the computer.
With good reason, too; just the other day a friend came round. As he was typing in the address bar, all sort of schizz came up thanks to autocomplete; thank god he's not a touchtyper, so his attention was focused on the keyboard. But I think I died a few times that day.

Also, @Latios: SCOOOOOOOORE. That wud b awesome.

I haven't had much of a problem at all with my relationship and revealing being both a furry and a bit of a Pokephile, because he's a furry himself. He's not as into Pokephilia as I am, but he does take interest in the canine Pokemon, which I tend to like as well, which is really cool.

In the past few months I've been surprised by how a few of my friends are interested in some species of Pokemon as well. I thought I was the only one. n_n It's nice, because it means there's one or two more people out there to share and talk about it with~
