I love him. I want him to return. D:
Seriously, though, Hiroshi, in my opinion was a great character. Sure, to others he might be a Satoshi clone, but he is quite different from the other boy.
For one thing, he's smarter. He actually did research in his quest to spot Lugia. That is different from the route that Satoshi took, who was really "in the right place at the right time."
The way that he treats his Pokémon is just awesome too. I personally like all the nicknames that he gives the creatures. He treats them like individuals. Satoshi just doesn't use nicknames.
The fact that his Pokémon are different too is fine. Like the fact that he has Butterfree. Not a lot of trainers make it to the League with a Butterfree anymore in the anime.
I haven't seen him in Chronicles yet, so I'm not going to offer any more of my opinion. I said all that could be said on him already.

The only reason I want to see him again is so Ash can completely own him. The way Ash lost the first time to him was pathetic, and Ash needs to completely own the guy in a rematch.

I like him - I see him as a really nice guy who cares about what actually happens to his friends. He didn't gloat or anything like Gary would do when Ash lost to him, and was actually worried that Ash didn't show up for the battle at first. He even asked to postpone the battle.
We haven't seen very much of him, so we can't determine his flaws and weaknesses well so far, but simply, he's just a nice guy. I don't see him as a total Ash copy.

BTW, it's "RIIFU BUREEDO". What you have sounds like it'd be more close to "Leaf Blood".... or "Leaf Blard" (whatever the hell a "blard" is XP).

Ooo, that reminds me - ALL of Richie's Pokemon are of an evo line that Ash has owned a member of at one point or another. People whine about having more than one main character having EVER owned the same Pokemon as another main character(or prominent side-character, or...), so I'm surprised that people don't hold that against Richie more often.

Yeah it was crap how he beat Ash in the Indigo league anyway.Squitle lost because it was put to sleep,and Charizard lost because it didnt want to battle.

I love Richie! He's better-looking than Ash and he's very cute! I love his clothing, his hair, his hat and the shipping of him and May (even though I hate May)
Poor Richie needs more love. And I think it's cool he's an Ash clone because not all of us fangirls like the tall, dark and handsome look.
