Welcome to the RNG Club!

In past generations the abuse of the games' Random Number Generator has become extremely popular amongst those seeking perfect Pokemon; those who won’t settle for anything less. With the introduction of the 5th Generation came a different Random Number Generator, along with many members interested in taking advantage of it.

Back in April a SPPf member by the name of zerky dropped a thread in the 5th Gen. Black and White Discussion forum, not knowing the ripple effect it would have on the members in the forum. More experienced RNGers, such as jolteon135, Advent, and others, offered their time, nurturing the growing community. The movement caught like wildfire. Within the following months handfuls upon handfuls of other members joined in on the fun, and, not soon after, became experienced RNGers, bending the games no longer "random" number generator to their liking. This process is repeating itself every day.

While the thread we all know and love does us wonders it is quickly becoming not enough. With the addition of this club we can expand upon our brilliance with continued talk of other types of RNG abuse, such as 4th Generation, 3rd Generation, emuRNG, etc. If you find something new or interesting that you would like to share, post it here!

The rules we have are all pretty lenient, and self-explanatory, because we are a pretty laid back community. Nonetheless we have them:

1. Follow all SPPf rules.
2. No flaming or trolling. It's childish and isn't necessary.
3. In conjunction with Rule 2, respect others. Treat others how you would like to be treated.
4. Give credit where it is due.
5. Speak proper English, with complete sentences. We're not barbaric, so let's hold ourselves to higher standards. I mean, higher standards than we already do.
6. Refrain from one-liners.
7. When attempting to help another user, try to explain yourself in one (1) post. We don’t want this club to turn into a chat log if possible. If need be we do still have our original thread and the PM system.
8. While asking for help of any kind be sure to describe what you've done to the best of your ability and be specific. Vague questions yield vague answers. Detailed questions, on the other hand, yield detailed answers.
9. Show us what you're up to! Screenshots with seeds, the process, chain-mapping, the finished product, or anything else related to RNG you can think of are greatly welcomed!
10. Have fun; enjoy your time here; make some more friends. We've become an amazing community so let's keep it that way and continue to grow.

Always remember that as much as it may seem so, we're not any better than any other member or group. Our success goes to those who've cracked the system. Because of this there is no reason to be smug. We're family.

Actually you know what I'm going to reserve this post to make a PPRNG guide sometime. Currently under construction, but I'll put part of it here as I work.

Kaiser Soze's Supplemental Guide to RNG Abuse with PPRNG​

Hi, I'm Kaiser and I'm writing a supplemental guide to RNG abuse using PPRNG, instead of the more common RNGreporter. PPRNG is a Macintosh-supported application used for searching and inspecting seeds for RNG abuse created by Chiizu of Smogon. When I say "supplemental," I mean this isn't supposed to be your first RNG guide. Basically I'm translating what the guides that use RNGreporter say and make it apply to PPRNG. I will be covering 5th generation standard abuse, including finding flawless wild pokemon and eggs.

What I assume/ what you need:
- You have read other 5th Gen RNG guides
- You have watched a few RNG videos
- You know basic breeding mechanics
- You have a Mac (OS 10.5 Leopard onward)
- You have downloaded the latest version of PPRNG from here.
- You have a basic understanding of how RNG works, including:
- What a seed is
- The difference between the IVRNG and the PIDRNG (you really need to know this)
- You have a DS lite or phat and a legit copy of Black or White (language doesn't matter).
- You may or may not know your Secret ID. You only need it if you want a shiny, however. Google ways to do it (AR, PokeCheck, etc)
- You have a chalot knowing chatter (two is much better). Try the GTS.
- You have a masterball. Not necessary, but it helps save a lot of time. You will be reseting a lot, so it will help.
- You have synchronizers (again, not necessary, but useful, but you can get away without them). A pokemon with the ability synchronize at the lead of your party offers a 50% chance of encountering a pokemon with that ability.

Eggs:
- Egg breeding is, in my humble opinion, the best and most efficient RNG method. It is the easiest way to get a shiny and requires the least amount of searches.
