What do you think is the best way to catch Pokemon in the Safari Zone, particularly Kangaskhan, Tauros, Chansey, etc.? Do you use bait and rocks, or just chuck Safari Balls? If you do use bait and rocks, what do you think is the best combination to aid in catching one of the annoying-to-catch Safari Zone Pokemon?

For chansey, just safari balls. For Kangaskhan, i don't know, safari balls and rocks. I don't have a tauros, but i think they flee so go with balls.

For me, I caught a Nidorino with my Safari Ball in my FireRed. But for Chansey, Kangaskhan and Tauros, maybe I keep throwing rocks at them, then use Safari Balls to catch them.

Usually I just chuck Safari Balls, but sometimes I use bait and rocks, evenly using them in the battle. ex. If I get the chance, like 2 rocks and 2 bait.

You know i think if you use 2 rocks and 2 baits, nothing happens. Rocks make the catch rate go up one, and also the flee rate. bait makes the catch rate go down 1, and the flee rate too. Here it is:
CR (catch rate):0 FR (flee rate (hey, it looks like fire red)): 0
Rock! CR:1 FR:-1
Bait! CR:0 FR:0
Rock! CR:1 FR:-1
Bait! CR:0 FR:0

see?

Also, chansey always flees after at most 2 turns, one time I threw bait and it fled! (Anyway it's a good thing I have one, a lvl 63 Blissey, so i can get unlimited by breeding)
BYE!

2+2=6?
Chansey - Just Safari Balls
Kangaskhan - Bait=lv. of Kangaskhan/number of Pokemon you have with you
Tauros - Rocks=lv. of Tauros/number of Pokemon you have with you

I just chuck Safari balls and hope for the best. It usually works but I'm not promising you anything.

My freind told me to throw 2 rocks, then 1 bait, then a Safari Ball. She says that it never fails. Yes, she has done it. Try that, I guess. If it doesn't work, don't blame me.

I just play on luck..I throw the ball and sees what happens..but its not that good a tactic against rarer onces..like Chansey & Tauros..^^

No idea what I feel
Some of my team I caught while I was in the Safari Zone. I managed to capture a Venomouth which I was quite chuffed about, plus it was on level 32 which was even better.

Some of the rare Pokémon like Chansey & Seifer just keep running away which is a pain in the ***.

I just need Tauros, I rarely bump into him, and he just keeps running away when I throw balls, but he doesn't stay there long enough to throw rocks. Wish there was an easier way...
