I can't believe this.... I found shiny Numel today after about 17824 encounters and over a YEAR of on and off hunting!!

And then... less than 20 encounters later on the same Sapphire file, ANOTHER 1/8192 FEMALE shiny!! Cacnea! This is insane.. I've been waiting for this day for nearly two years, since I starter shiny hunting in July 2008.

Numel is Rash and Cacnea is Timid. What more is there to say...? ^__^

Congrats to The Shinycollector7 on one heck of a good day.
Also to the two shiny Kyorges and the Suicune.

While training my shiny Hitmontop (I was chaining Machops) I came across
a shiny patch. I walked into it and caught the shiny Machop and get this.
It was adamant, No Gaurd, and had 31 IVs in both attacks. Anyway as you can see from my sig I have officially started my hunt for each shiny fighting type. Going to start breeding for a MM Riolu. Does anyone know if you can
use the Power accessories with the MM method? Also SR'ing for a ES Dratini as I get bored of hatching. Good luck everyone!

Why yes, yes you can. I proved it a while back when I was hatching Totodiles for this, and I'm getting it with my Chatots I'm doing now.

I got up to 5000 SR (15000 starters seen) for my shiny starter on my Japanese Heartgold last night.
I also just got in the mail the leafgreen version I bought off ebay recently (I never had one before) and now I can shiny hunt on that game too.

However.. I was going through some of the pokemon left on it and I came across two that concerned me.
1. A level 20 Latios
2. A level 50 Jirachi caught in a masterball
In my mind I would say they are hacked.. but I not entirely sure about the Jirachi.

Anyway, congrats on all the new shinies and good luck with hunting everyone.
Would anyone like to give me some luck?

So happy. This is my first shiny in Platinum. After months of chaining with no luck I find this =D.

I also want to say congrats to everyone else on their recent shinies, I've been reading them daily so congrats to all of you and welcome to the newcomers I've seen lately, especially to you who got the Gengar from their friend.

I don't know whether I want to go for Palkia now or wait until later.

They're obviously both hacked. You can't get a legit lv20 Latios, and you can only have a Jirachi in a pokeball or a cherish ball.

Really? Cause when I tried breeding in my Japanese HG, sometimes the specific IV's didn't get passed down, so I figured that it didn't work with the masuda method (like how the everstone doesn't work). I'll have to try breeding again in SS.


More new shinies, I see. Congrats to ShinyCollector on his Numel and Cacnea (I've actually just started hunting in Ruby's desert area for a shiny myself). And to RajinCajun on his shiny Dialga.

As for my shiny hunts; I'm at just over 15,000 encounters in SS's Ice ath (for something other than a shiny Golbat...), 1700 Slugma encounters, 730 Azelf SR, and 250 Ruby desert encounters.

I have now officially completed the shiny Johto starter trio
+ They are all female..

I checked the nature and it's calm... so.. I don't think I will be training Totodile for a while. Just staring at it.

Sorry for the lack of pictures, my camera ran out of memory and I was too excited to take heaps.
I think im pretty lucky, considering I was going to stop SRing on 15 SR on this file and have a break.

Hi guys! first of all Supermega congrats to D_S for the Sudowoodo xP That negative luck thing sure worked this time!

And it worked again with iDatBoy's Absol, mega congrats on that also you certainly waited a while for it.

Congrats on the shiny Tentacool, Dialga, Numel, Cacnea, Eevee, Suicune and the two Kyogres, i think i have long given up my sapphire Sr for Kyogre although i'm still saved in front of it. It just takes so long to do the SRing.

EDIT: congrats on the new Totodile! i was busy writing this essay of a post and missed it =P

So I was watching American Dad lastnight and lookie what popped up xD

As usual with me the pics are large... don't get on at me it's taken me ages just to upload them i really want to show them off.

*Squeals* This is my FIRST SR'd shiny, my FIRST shiny Legendary and my FIRST Soul Silver shiny!

Added to that it's my favourite pokemon and it was caught early this morning which is actually the date of my fiance and i's 3 year+one month anniversary =P

I don't count the SRs but i usually keep a decent tab on the amount of half hours and hours i do and i think i racked up about 47 hours total which works out very roughly at between 5000 and 5100 SRs.

On HG/SS release day i was first in the shop and i was so adamant about getting this shiny before the Elite four that i have not played through the rest of the game yet and got to Lugia only a week after getting the game. My fiance and all my friends who play have gotten to Red and beat him and i still have all this to do. So I am glad i can finally do that =]

Kinda works out in my favour as it is now the summer holidays wheras i had alot of college work to do in the past few months so staying stuck at Lugia meant i was less likely to play and get distracted by the game so i concentrated on my work more.

As this is my first experience of seeing a shiny appear via SR i have to say i was surprised at just how obvious it was. I was lazily doing the SRs and i was at that point where i was in such a rhythm i couldn't actually remember seeing the Lugia each time it appeared, when this happens i wonder "will i miss the shiny?". This time i was just doing it because i had something to watch and wasn't bothered about actually registering the Lugias, then the pink caught my eye, it practically jumped out at me.
Such a good feeling and i'm glad to know how much it stands out when the shiny appears.

I just realised there's not a pic with my Id on it. I'm used to everything being on one screen

I did try to capture it without using the masterball but i lost count of Extrasensories and didn't want to risk it. It oddly didn't use any extrasensories until Hydro pump and aeroblast had been depleted.

IVs work out at 28-30/14-15/14-15/14-15/21-23/7-8 So not amazing but i really do not care in the slightest!

So now my favourite shiny is my Shiny Lugia!!!!

I tried to get positiions that have rarely or not been used for the sprites or for pokedex images froom books and magazines. I got referance from my Platinum guide dex and sprites from my games. Using a bit of memory was also useful!

I think i did quite well! The Metagross was the most difficult to draw as i like drawing in curves and flowing lines but Metagross is quite blocky.

Just so you know it is my shiny team but also Lopunny and Magicarp are there because they are my first random encounters of Diamond and Platinum.

I'm also Sring for a starter on my SS, hoping not to get a totodile (already got it). Also as you can tell by my avatar, I'm hunting Koffings in burnt tower.

Heh I've hit the next road bload in HG, as I can't get past Ecutreak without releasing the dogs, so after I get a shiny in burnt tower, I'll try my hand at Dog SRing. But for today, I at the BCC. Come on scyther...err maybe it'd be better to say I really hope I don't get scyther at ALL. It is an ugly shiny and I would spit on it if it were to shine, ergo do not appear under any circumstances.

On my end, i've been doing grimer encounters. I'm now at 1000. I decided after doing per 1000 i'm going to hatch a box of poliwags to keep it a bit interesting also to get some pokés in ranch to get the mew out of there. On one hand i hope it shines soon on the other it can take a while cause the more i have the less i need for ranch. If i get this one i'm going to evolve it into politoed wich has some nice shiny colors. Although this might not happen before the tour ends. I'm also planning on evolving some of my other shiny's. If grimer chooses to shine soon i might start on training some of these pokes, although i'm not so into competitive play so i might need some help there (anyone who wants to help can VM/PM me ).

Now i'm doing some poliwags and need to have around 10 more and i have 3 boxes hatched.

Also my eevee hunt is still on when i'm underway or at my girlfriends house or lying in bed before i get some sleep. This hunt is getting some time i think i've been hunting this one for a half year now on and off. I still have to do some badges work in that game so i hope this one pops up soon too. I'm a bit curious which one is going to shine first. Lets hope it's grimer or eevee.

Congrats on all of the shinies everyone! I think it's awesome how the club is always bustling with new shinies everyday, I only wish I it could be me finding the shinies more often.

@Pucca ness: ;_; congrats... (I'm at 24,000 resets for lugia) Btw, I LOVE your drawing, it's absolutely fantastic, especially the metagross! ^^

As for my main hunts; lugia is now at 24,000 resets, rotom diamond is at 54,000 resets, rotom platinum is at 2,000 resets. Other than my lucky darkrais my luck seems to be as worse as ever. Why, dear lord...

I'm leaving tomorrow morning for drum major camp, which will last a whole week. So I won't be able to reset for a good amount of time. I'll see you guys next week then.

EDIT2: I caught it in a heavy ball! ^^ Hahahaha, unfortunately the nature sync didn't work, again, and guess what, it's brave just like my shiny darkrai.

Whew. That’s a lot of shinies that have been recently obtained. I’m up to 4065 SRs for Ho-oh. I think I’m just going to continue on in the game now and come back to it later or restart SoulSilver and SR for it in there. So now I may focus my 4th gen targets on Dialga and male Burmy for now until I reach Suicune in Heart Gold.

Late posting this, but congratulations Heliotrope on the Cresselia! And congrats on all of the other shinies.

I decided to hold off on The Shining until the weekend, when I'll be in Chester (and with no games) so I've been doing a little the past couple of days. Approaching 10 hours resetting for Kyogre. Just blasting through the gyms in SS now (already cleaerd all but one of the routes), once I open up Mount Silver, I think I'll send over my Lucky Egg from Platinum and start levelling up my team to L100 for Red and cross my fingers for a shiny to show up on either game. I won't have access to my games until Tuesday, but from then, I'm not back into work untill Sunday, so I'll get some good hunting in then.

I hope that doesn't mean he wanted it back and you wouldn't give it back. That would be messed up..

don't worry, he still wanted me to have it better yet, after a failing attempt to chain bagon, i decided to chain shinx. get to 40 and a shiny shinx shows up. finally, since 2008 i've tried and failed at chaining but i guess i'm getting a lot better.(camera ran out of batteries so when i get batteries i'll post some pics of the awsome shiny)

Clubs have their own rules, and members of those clubs have to abide by them as well as having to abide by the forum rules as well.

Clubs state that you must ask to join when you make your first post in that club.

In order to join our club, all we ask is that people abide by the simple rules as laid out in the first post, and make the pledge which you have now done.

It wasn't really all that difficult to do either, so i don't understand the fuss, but whatever.

Before your accepted though, i have to ask, is that actually your real reason for joining? As if so, then you will not be accepted. In order to join this club, you have to have an interest in shinies, and actually make shiny related posts in this club.

So, if you wouldn't mind, could you please give a real reason as to why you wish to join this club. Thank You.
