Also nearly died laughing when someone on a video quoted how Ash stated back in the beginning that the league rules say only 1 at a time, and here he is going gangster style on Lysandre.
Well, this is different. Outside of evil teams, rules are upheld.
Against evil teams, it's an all-out "war".
* Yo Alain, you have more than 1 Pokémon...
They only exist when he is forced to participate in leagues he never considered worth the time until he found his crush on a boy.
Mal's Review:
* I was kind of hoping for an actual clash between Darth Alain and Ash like in the OP, but what actually happened was fine too
Damnit Alain! Just use Bisharp and Guillotine this Gyrados!
Yeah I was kinda hoping for that too, not for any "Revenge for the league loss" nonsense, but because Alain was working with TF for awhile and I honestly thought the anime was setting that up to happen.
Like Ash could be all like Obi-Wan and try to get Alain to listen to reason and Alain's all like "I have to do this to save Manon!"
Also a great episode, pretty much everything everyone has already said. Also I love that they used the theme to Xerneas/Yveltal hatching for the scene where Gyarados and Charizard Mega Evolve.
It would have been great if something like that happened. Oh well, maybe they'll have a friendly battle after the end of the arc.
Alain: Fudge continuity.
Not even what happened two episodes ago is enough for consistency.
Why would a Gyarados know Stone Edge? I know it's the Anime, but I just looked around for the more competitive stuff with no mention of Stone Edge. Yeah, it's a strong move, but against what would Gyarados need it? Also, that thing is really strong.
