Hello, and welcome to the Alternate Animé Forum here on SPP! This is a forum created for the purpose of discussing any non-Pokémon anime you may wish to talk about.
The rules outlined below are meant to keep the discussions as comprehensible and easy to manage as possible. We would appreciate it if you would take a few minutes to familarize yourself with these rules to assist us in creating a positive discussion environment here.

II. What is Animé?
The most common definition of anime is that it is animation produced by Japan.
III. Please discuss Japanese animation and only Japanese anime
a) Since this is a board to discuss any non-Pokémon anime, we ask that you don’t discuss that show here. If you want to talk about the Pokémon TV series, head over to the Pokémon Animé Discussion forum.
B) Likewise, we ask that you don’t discuss any non-Japanese cartoon on this forum. These would include anime-inspired series such as Teen Titans, Totally Spies, and Xiaolin Showdown. For discussion of those series or any other American cartoons, please go to the Entertainment forum.
IV. No bashing
Don’t start any threads for the sole purpose of bashing a certain anime series or anime character. In addition, don’t make any posts that bash any anime series or character.
Bashing is defined as talking about a character / anime series in an offensive, mocking, or otherwise negative manner. If you don’t like a show or character, then don’t post about it.
V. No illegal content requests
Discussion on how to acquire illegal content is strictly forbidden. For the purposes of this forum, illegal content would include fansubs* and bootleg VHS / DVD’s, downloadable fansubs* (“digisubs”), anime mp3's, and bootlegged merchandise. Illegal goods take money away from the people who work hard week after week producing anime, and linking to sites where you can obtain illegal merchandise is a big insult to the original creators. Plus, it can land you and this entire website in legal trouble.
*The legality of fansubs is really iffy, so we would like to play it safe and not discuss them at all.
VI. Spoilers
In the Pokémon Animé Discussion forum, the basic rule is that if the show has aired in America, it’s safe to talk about it since it’s assumed that everyone who visits the forum keeps up with the American release of the show.
However, we can’t assume the same thing for this forum. There are shows like Fullmetal Alchemist and One Piece that still have episode left to air in the U.S.. Then there are shows that have completed their runs on American TV, but there are still fans who are watching these shows for the first time through reruns. And then there are those series that are on VHS / DVD only whose fans are watching them at their own pace.
In consideration of fans’ different viewing habits, we ask that you put spoilers for anything that occurs after the first episode of a series in spoiler tags unless the fact that the post will have spoilers in it is made clear by the thread title. There are many people who don’t want the story spoiled, and people talking about events that happen 20 or 30 episodes ahead of where the current US broadcast is is unfair to the people who don’t want everything spoiled for them.
