I've hated this week. I'm a teacher's assistant, so I've got to grade students' homework. There's about 40 students with 11 problems each (for this assignment), and it took forever. That was Tuesday. Today they had their first test. I said I'd be around for a couple hours beforehand so they could ask questions. I expected maybe 1 or 2 people to show up, but a big group came and was there the whole time. Not that that was so horrible, but it's stressful thinking their grades are in my hands, and I could tell someone something wrong and they could miss a bunch of points.
For my Thursday night class, we were supposed to take a tour of a supermarket, to see their refrigeration/cooling system. I was supposed to get there between 6 and 6:15, but since I had to go in early to help with the test, I took an afternoon nap and didn't wake up until 6:30. I made it, but missed about 1/2 the tour. The day wouldn't have been complete without me screwing something up.
Wednesday I had to give a special presentation. I was working on it the night before and sent it to the teacher for his opinion. He said what I had was ok, but I needed to cover these other 4 methods (non-destructive testing methods). That was a litte unexpected, but I got them in there. During the presentation I got tongue-tied and didn't always speak sensibly. I was supposed to aim for 30min for the thing, and I think it was 25-30, even though it felt like 45. Looking at the students it seemed like they lost interest about 1/2 way through- thats always a bad feeling.
I'm going to rewrite my whole notebook down. The way I take notes looks like Crapola!
I hardly took notes until multiple years into college. I started getting sick of having trouble with homework problems, only for the teacher to say we did something exactly like that in the notes.
