• Hi all
Just a notice, we recently discovered that someone got into a moderator account and started hard deleting a load of key and legacy threads...around 150 threads have been lost dating back to 2007 and some weeks ago so we can't roll the forums back.
Luckily no personal data could be accessed by this moderator, and we've altered the permissions so hard deleting isn't possible in the future
Sorry for any inconvenience with this and sorry for any lost posts.

One more bloody final on Friday and I finish all my undergraduate classes save for just 1 left. Can't wait for this to end. Mich has just killed my GPA these last several years. Hopefully one med school will take me and I will be ecstatic.

How's everyone's final exams?:3 Gladly, I had finished my final exams yesterday. I'm glad I had taken my eLreaning subjects successfully despite of all the server downfall and slow internet connections. My next problem is probably the enlistment for the next trisemester.
Christmas Break here we go!~

Christmas Break here we go!~

I made at least a C on all of my finals. 2 being Bs and 2 being Cs, one C was 2 points away from being a B and the other was 4 points away from being a B.

Working 5 days a week doesn't help my grades at all, especially when I have to work the nights before finals.

and done with semester. the waiting game for grades begin.

Think I did very well in quantum mechanics, probabiity, and my GEology class.

Have no idea what to expect from senior lab.

And second semester electromagentism is a wild-card.

Finals are finally over and I can't wait to start enjoying my break. History final was pretty easy despite having to write a couple of essays, and I think I did well enough on my chem final to hopefully get an A in the class, but if not, I think I'll end up with a B at worst. Also found out I made 100% on my calc final. Not bad for my first quarter at university.

Bugs me how some professors give grades like B/B- or B+/A- on some papers. It's happened on a couple of papers I've had to submit this semester, most recently on my Authoritarianism final. If it's that big a deal, then why don't they grade on a numeric scale, like a B+/A- would be an 88 or something. Eventually it'll all have to be converted to something numeric to be averaged out anyway, so why bother? It wouldn't be such a nuisance if there was a number and a letter grade (using the earlier example, if one were to get an 88 the professor would put that and then the B+/A-). I know it's a minor thing and it shouldn't annoy me this much, but I've never understood why that would even be a thing in the first place, or why they couldn't simply round the letter grade up or down, depending on how generous they felt.

(I'm a junior in BME, plan on applying to medical school next summer) Got all my grades in, 3.93 GPA for the semester. Took 5 classes, got an A in intro to literature, A in general psychology, A in modeling of biomedical systems, A in organic chemistry I (got an A before the curve and finished that class with 104% after the curve LOL, yeah I killed that class. I think it's so overrated, but then again I lost track awhile ago of how many hours I spent doing the textbook problems over and over), and A- in Biomechanics. Best semester i've had and so close to a 4.0 which I've never achieved before. Now studying hard for the MCAT in early january.

ack at school on Tuesday, not looking forward to that. Oh well, this term should e fun.
I've got both French (Home and away leg) and German (home leg) exchanges so that's alright. And I got selected for my school's coast 2 coast running team so I have a rigorous 3 month long training regime to get through.
What's scary is I'm actually looking forward to it.
To e fair, I'm kinda glad Christmas is over. The sooner you get things done the sooner they're overwith.

So we have this "assessment week" this week and as predicted; no-one remembered. And there's a load of coursework deadlines too.
Oh and I'm currently dealing with immature first years (16 year olds) who don't seem to comprehend that I really don't care about whether or not they like me...(it might have something to do with me dating a guy that a few of them have a crush on)
2015 looks entertaining...just six more months of classes and then I don't have to put up with this kind of stupidity.

.1 away from dean's list. Sigh. I also just had a mini heart attack because I checked my email and thought that the submission deadline for scholarships was today, then realized it said February. I was so relieved I almost cried. I'm more worried about the trouble I'd be in with my parents than not getting scholarship money.

I have to make a CD cover using schredded paper for art class.
We have a but of freedom in it but we can't use our own artists and we have to use compositions.
The teacher actually looks at our work as if it's material for a museum or not lol

I'm not intend to do art and design next year hahahahah!

we have the first three days of this week off timetable because all the lecturers are marking our mock exams from last week.
My final deadline for the media essay is Friday and I finally got feedback for it on Sunday...and I have no desire to do anything about it.
On the bright side; my creative writing coursework is going well! Apparently I have a natural talent for writing scripts. ^__^

I finished editing my short film for audiovisual class today.
It's 1080p Cinemascope 60fps so rendering took so long I had to cancel it, gonna do that when I'm home.
We drew with shadows during art class.
And we watched films during media techniques class.

I need to do a presentation for English tomorrow about movies.

I haven't prepared anything yet other than what I'm gonna tell.
My subject is movies and I didn't know what I wanted to talk about but I decided to talk about how a movie will be made.

I'm gonna practice my presentation at home and probably record a vlog because I haven't done one in 2 weeks and it helps me with presenting.
I'm thinking about recording my presentation and putting it on YouTube.
Could be fun, so people get to see an actual presentation of me in college.

High school stupidity is hilarious when you look back at it in a few years. I'm assuming you mean high school anyway at that age group.

Yeah I'm in the equivalent of highschool...last 6 months of my last year. Dealing with the first years in the friendship group isn't the most enjoyable experience, especially when they seem to think they know more than you.
I'm just gonna tell her to sit down and shut up before I hit her with a chair, it's not my fault she's jealous. -.-

outside of the required reading for my history class I've been keeping up okayly well this semester. ahhh First time I'm actually doing things in advance and planning and stuff, even if I dont follow everything to a tee, it still helps tremendously.

I'm into the second week of the quarter, and so far I like my classes and professors, but I have a ton of homework to do this weekend. I have to study for my first chem midterm next week, write three entries in an annotated bibliography for my writing class (though realistically I need to do at least one or two more because I'll have to have six total entries by the end of next week), and do online genetics homework which the professor estimates at 30-40 questions, and it's due next Tuesday but isn't getting posted until Friday afternoon. Thank god for MLK Day.

Three days into spring semester and I have decided I am going to have to be holed up in my room reading all the time. I keep getting off focus and then end up upset at myself for it.

I've got a fairly major assignment that needs to be completed over the Christamas holidays and I've completed about 4/5 sections of it, but I've just lost motivation to do the rest of it. School goes back in just under two weeks and it's due six days after that. The subject is Information Processing & Technology and the only reason I'm doing it is so I have a free period in year 12, seeing as it's an advanced subject. That means in year 11, I have to take one HSC/final exam, but at least I'll know what the pressure's like for my final year of high school.
