the swampert that wont forget

my swampert knows surf but i want it to forget it so i can teach it some moves that are better for the tough contest and teach surf to a HM slave
but when i went to the move tutor he said "swampert isn't willing to forget surf" and it still knows surf why?

i dont have a clue? try having another pokemon with surf in your party and try it.

It`s probably because that Swampert is the only one who knows surf in your whole team/boxes. Then you just have to make a other pokémon learn Surf.

yeah its ok now ive taught surf to a clampearl thats with me on my party and i was able to take surf off swampert
