The Tiny Caretaker! (890)

This episode got surprisingly emotional at the very end, must have been the touching music. I was also pleasantly surprised that they were able to give Tyrunt some personality. Bonnie rocked once again demonstrating that she can do fine on her own and is capable enough to be a Pokémon Trainer.

Wasn't too bad of a episode, it was nice to see Tyrunt's line debut here. I don't think it was that much of a sad scene, but I don't get the comments here? Bonnie's like 7 years old, it is very easy to get attached to something for a day, then be sad when it's time to say goodbye, hell it happens even when you are older, like finding a dog/cat lost and then finding out it has a owner and must go back, sure as a adult you aren't going to get all stomping about it, but even then you would be sad if you had a whole day to get to know that animal, playing with them. Bonnie didn't even have that much of a tantrum, more trying to keep her feelings inside of her.

It was sad she had to say goodbye, but she learns and grows (Again pointing out she's 7, I doubt she had to say goodbye that often to things she fell in love with).
Ash has way more experience in saying goodbye to his Pokemon (Butterfree being the first, where he had the same reaction as Bonnie, hell the way he assumed Pikachu was leaving him in that one episode). Jessie and James are also techinally adults, so they know how to handle stuff like loss, considering it's all they ever lose anyways.

My only complaint to that is they did ANOTHER climax where the hero character was completely screwed until one of their Pokemon evolved and became invincible, which sort of defies the point of them proving they can handle it on their own. Still Bonnie did at least get to be cunning for most of the episode beforehand. I also liked the twist of Tyrantrum still acting like a puppy.

Bonnie was in danger and the sitaution call for an evolution. Nether Bunneby nor Dendene could have save Bonnie in that Situation. Also it better that Tyrantrum blasting off Team Rocket then Pikachu Thunderbolting them away

I seem to recall reading many capture theories about Eureka getting the Chigoras/Gachigoras when this episode was first announced, which I'm glad didn't come true for several reasons, such as Eureka not being a trainer yet, and her not really needing such a huge Pokemon.

One thing that bothers me is that although Tyrantrum is suppose to represent a more accurate anatomy of a T-Rex, where they have a horizontal stance, the animators still draw Tyrantrum in the outdated upright stance. Having a Tyrantrum as part of the main cast would've been something cool.

Gachigoras surprised me given how frightening it looks, yet it managed to seem harmless. I love it when the anime makes hardcore Pokemon seem innocent.
