YES! A transformers club! (I made one a while ago, but it dissapeared and merged with the matrix/allspark and is now, as far as I can tell, unfindable.)

Favourite Transformer:-Optimus Prime (Primal comming an almost joint first). (Any era, save for R.I.D., as I haven't seen it.)

Second favourite:-G1 Jazz/Binaltech/Alternator Miester\Zoom-Zoom.
Joint second:-Macross-like Jetfire. (Robot/Gerwalk/alt. form.).

I assume that youv'e noticed some transformers get a re-deco as some different transformers or as an "upgrade" in the same line (Armada, Energon, Beast Wars etc,) well, a while ago, I searched the 'net for various versions of the Armada Optimus Primes, Overloads, and Jetfires.

Here are my findings:- (not too up-to-date, as I haven't checked recently.)

Jetfire. (Space shuttle/robot/alternate legs for combined Optimus form, sometimes refered to as "Rocket pants", as opposed to "trailer pants" for Prime's truck trailer's third form.)

4, armada (normal version) powerlinx, (dark blue legs) armada k-mart, (darker grey legs than Armada) and micron (dark grey legs, no yellow on the "lapels").

Overload. (Jet\shuttle carrier/robot/heavy weapons emplacement for super Prime's base/shoulder-mounted cannons.)

7, Armada, Energon Ultra Magnus (Blue and white), Sentinel Maximus, (exclusive to OTFCC 2004) (blue with gold torso, red with gold upper arms, blue and white lower arms, white with black upper legs, blue with gold lower legs, mouth/nose like Optimus' face-shield), Costco (yellow with dark red and some white decals), Micron Densetsu Clear Ultra Magnus (dark red, semi-transparent,) (Japan/china only, I think,), Micron Densetsu (non-clear) Ultra Magnus, (Similar to the clear version, but (unsprisingly) not semi-transparent), Teal Ultra Magnus (No information yet.)

Optimus Prime. (Trailer-truck/robot-automatic transform base/Super robot-"trailerpants".)

7, armada, K-Mart (gold coloured cab, shoulder decals and "ear-fins"), costco (similar colouration to Costco Overload), Final battle (Dark blue and dark red colours, blue-grey arms), powerlinx (not sure), micron densetsu, (like Armada, but the yellow is more "there"/prominant) micron densetsu DX (similar to Final Battle Optimus Prime, but with black along the sides of his "trailerpants".)

Now, minicons notwithstanding, you can swap the torso of Super Prime with the legs of either Jetfire or Primes' own legs, and with the various redos of Overload, giving a sizeable number of possibilities.

028 Optimus' with Jetfire's legs,
049 Optimus' with his own legs,
196 Optimus' with Jetfire's legs and Overload's in shoulder cannon mode,
343 Optimus' with his own legs and Overloads' in shoulder cannon mode


Which, if you add it all up and hop the Transformers dimensions, comes to (if Iv'e done my maths right,):-
626 different Armada-universe Optimus'!

Oh yeah! Transformers! I basically grew up with this series whether it was the original American cartoon, Beast Wars, Beast Machines, or the anime that was produced in Japan.

"Transformers, More than meets the eye! Transformers, Robots in Disguise!"

My favorite transformer would have to be Cheetor, he just has that cool attitude that makes him more of a teenager than a young adult.

From what I know, the transformers timeline is as follows:-
Generation 1/movie (original)/G1 post-movie, Armada, Energon, Cybertron, Beast Wars, then Beast Machines.
If you go from the point of view as the transformers universe (not the Universe franchise) "sees it", then Beast Wars goes first, instead of G1, but then preety much as above.

Do you think that we should have nicknames, like in the Dr WHo club, (I'm Captain Jack, By the way,) as autobots\maximals, decepticons\predacons and minicons?
If, say someone was Optimus Prime, that would include ALL series' versions of him, save for beast wars/machines, as their leader was Optimus Primal, not Prime.
the Megatron name(s) would be differentiated as follows-Megatron(D) or Megatron(B), as in Decepticon or Predacon.

Any thoughts?

I had a thought or two the other day.
In the G1-Cybertron universe, (G2 and R.I.D. are in different universes,) the two "main" upgrades (apart from pretender shells and "trailer pants" Optimus Prime which started with powermaster/godbomber Optimus,) are/were the Micromaster upgrade, making transformers roughly the same height as a tall human, and the Maximal upgrade, making them more fuel efficient and reducing their size to a third.

Now, here's the thoughts:-
First, gets a normal transformer, say, Jazz, for instance (voiced by the late Scatman Cruthers,) (sp?) then give him the Micromaster upgrade, then the maximal upgrade aswell. This would mean Jazz is now 1/18th of his original size, but better and more efficient than before.
Drawbacks-about a third of the height of a human and/or a minicon.
To remedy that, my second thought-upgrade the Minicons.
Now they'd be 1/18th the size of humans, but they'd fit with the transformers anyway.
The upgrades can't be done to the Power/Head/Target masters, as, with the exception of the Witwhickeys, theyr'e all Nebulans, and, along with humans, the organics would "get in the way".

Whether the Armada Jetfire/Prime/Overload linking would still be in effect would demend on their new alt. forms.

I'd like to here your thoughts on this idea please.

In the comic (and Japanese cartoons, I think) due to a fuel shortage, Roadhandler et al (those to be introduced as Micromasters) used the technologies used/pioneered with the Targetmasters, Headmasters, then, later the Powermasters techniques which allowed the Nebulans and the human Spike Whitwicky to change from Nebulan (from the ringed planet Nebulos) to handguns, Autobot/Decepticon heads and engines which supplied power to the transformers after the Nebulans had poisioned their fuel sources against any further transformers invading their planet.

The Micromaster technique CAN'T be used on organic beings as it only works on the transformers.

The Maximal upgrade is also more fuel efficient and is noted/hinted at in one Beast Wars episode when the BW Megatron and Optimus Primal find the Ark and explore it finding the original (G1) transformers in emergency stasis lock in there under Mt. Ararat. (Sp?)

The Maximal upgrade also has other benifits which could best be explained from a page from the Wreckers Botcon exclusive comic which I found on the internet a while ago.

No they aren't, striker. Theyr'e different types. Micromasters count as normal transformers whereas Minicons are, as I saw on one website, a different faction. (Autobots, Decepticons, then Minicons.)

Here's a question, (knowing my luck, Iv'e probably already asked this, but....)

If you were a transformer, (Autobot/Maximal, Decepticon/predacon, Minicon,) who would you be?

(Note that Optimus prime, for example, has three "selves". G1-Armada-Energon/super link-Cybertron, Robots In Disguise(RID) and Generation 2.)
Optimus Primal is a different character entirely, as it Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime/Rodimus. (Rodimus is in Energon/super link.)

AS for myself, I'm thinking about it at the moment.

On the net a while ago, I found some D20 roleplaying game ways for playing transformers. (Including parts of Mechamorphosis, a D20 system book souly(sp?) about transforming robots on earth.) As I don't know who has the rights for the articles, am I allowed to post them here please?

If you go to Youtube, there are thousands of transformer-related videos to watch. (Just be wary of some more "adult" content the site has. It only allows you to view these if you sign up which I haven't, so I don't gain acces to these thankfully.)
