Prologue
A boy named David Begins his birthday on his 12th birthday with a timid bulbasaur and a stupid mudkip as he goes on a journey to be a master.
Chapter 1 the beginning
“Wow and with a shot from marshtomp’s ice beam tropus faints leaving the green trainer with the victory in the tri-region tournament, the most prestigious tournament in the world.”
As the TV blares these words a African American boy jumps in the air as he listens to the conclusion as he immediately starts calling his friends on the phone “he won he won now pay up.” As he smiles excitedly. You see this boy had won a bet with his whole class, as he was the only one to bet that the green side trainer from olivine city names “flare pyro” would beat the red side trainer “john smith” from pewter. As he yells in joy you hear groans from every other house in Vermillion city. Then you also hear a yell from the first house of “David stop jumping!”
“Pay up now, I told you that he would win.” David says as the rest of his friends walk to him and give him five dollars each. As the school bells ring they all rush into class and listen as the teacher begins to speak. “ Now here is your exam, if you pass you will be given two pokemon and will be allowed to start your journeys.”
“As the whole class groans one student asks why they had to take the test. With a weary voice the teacher says
“To show you know bout pokemon as much as you should because too many pokemon have been abandoned or ill kept the last few years, also this is why the made the beginning age to be a trainer increase to twelve years of age. So no talking and take your exams.”
“But professor, adds another student what if you fail?” with a laugh, the teacher answers the student by name and goes “David, if you fail you can retake the test in a week.”
As David looks fearfully the teacher passes the tests out and adds” when you finish your test pick up an order form for your two pokemon”.
“I didn’t study I hope I pass, well here I go” David thinks as the test is given out “but here I go”
“David NO talking”
After David passes his test in he picks up a pokemon request form, which he answers quickly

The next day….
“Well hello class, your test results are in and the marks were very high this year. The corrections are in red and if the word passed is in green you passed but if your passed marker is blue you got a 99% or higher” As the teacher passes the tests back David is hit with a paper wad and sees his friend Bill. Holding his test Bill says “I got a 94 so what did you get? As Bill stops talking David looks to see that his test has returned
As David reads his test in awe he is yelled at by a slightly taller but thinner boy who is saying, “hey David what’s the look for?” “ Oh I know you did so bad on the test that you are speechless, but as for me I got a 112 so what did you get.”
As David turns around he is shaking with laughter as he replies, “Mickey I got a 113 and you can shove your 112 up you’re as-“
“The pokemon are here,” says the teacher as the children take their seats Mickey glares at David and says “ I want a battle when we get outside ASAP”.
After this comment he walks away as David watches the first person receive a seedot and a bagon, after watching 4 or 5 others collect their pokemon he sees Mickey collect an Aron and Magby but he was soon bored and was then overcome with darkness…
“WAKE UP!!” as soon as the yell faded David falls out of his chair to see Bill pick up two poke balls throwing them open and sees at first a red dog with black stripes and then a smaller, blue tadpole as both of the pokemon yell their names loudly “Growlithe, Poli Poliwag”.
As Bill leaves, David walks over to the cart and pulls out his two pokemon. Taking a deep breath he throws the balls in front and is overjoyed to see a small blue creature with orange gills and a pokemon with a bulb on its back. As they yell their names “Bulbasaur, Mud Mudkip” but as he leaves he hears sounds of a battle outside and rushes out
But when David gets outside he sees Bill eat his growlithe as Mickey’s Magby launches it with a cross chop and psychic combo. As Mickey looks up he says, “Well the real meat is here.” As Bill returns growlithe he walks to the sidelines with a look of disgust.” Watch out his pokemon has new moves.”
“Shut up and let’s battle.”
As Mickey sends out his Aron, a small creature with a body made of Iron comes out. Then David sends out his Bulbasaur, a green, four legged creature with a bulb on its back Immediately Mickey calls for a sandstorm and immediately Aron opens his mouth and a blast of sand and rock shoots right at Bulbasaur who jumps to the side as David calls for a leech seed as Bulbasaur jumps up a small seed falls onto Aron and vines sink into its body then Aron glows green and grows a little weaker then David calls for a growth attack which makes Bulbasaur grow twice his size then David calls for a razor leaf which flies towards Aron but then “ Mickey yells harden Aron” and the leaves just bounce off him then Mickey” yells for a dig attack. As Aron digs Bulbasaur seems to recover slightly then David yells “follow Aron underground and use razor leaf “ as Aron digs Bulbasaur goes into the hole’s mouth and fires more razor leaves than before and all of them hit then without a command Bulbasaur climbs out of the hole and starts to glow white
“Is he evolving?” Mickey asks David didn’t answer as he notices small balls surrounding Bulbasaur and realizes what the attack is then just as Mickey sees as well David calls for the attack “hidden power” as the balls slam towards Aron he notices that they are blue and when Aron jumps into his hole he watches as the dirt around the hole got wet.
Then Aron drags itself from the hole and collapses. “Return Aron.” Mickey groans and smiles, throwing a poke ball open and a Magby pops out, Bulbasaur sweat drops as the red body with a flame on its tail walks in and straitens out “return Bulbasaur but as the beam reaches it Bulbasaur glows blue and flies out of reach grimacing in pain is dropped. Smiling Mickey calls for a flamethrower attack and Bulbasaur is smacked hard then Magby rushes close and cross chops Bulbasaur into the school wall cracking it. With Bulbasaur clearly out David sends out Mudkip, a blue bodied pokemon with an orange fin, and orders a water gun which slams into Magby but then the water starts to glow yellow and then Mudkip shrikes in pain as David looks in astonishment Mickey laughs adds” Mudkip is affected by electric attacks until it evolves forget? And thunder punch is an electric attack” and David tells Mudkip to use mud sport Mudkip then rolls in some mud and the electricity stops hurting as much then as this happens Magby stops the thunder punch and flies into a tree and faints. Stunned Mickey asks what happened and as he looks over “a tree branch had fallen off a tree after being hit by mudkip’s waster gun hitting Magby on the head and weakening it enough for Mudkip to defeat it.” Says Bill. As Mickey stomps off Bill asks another question “now where do we go first?”
“Pewter”
No “Violet”
“Pewter”
“Violet”
Then you see a giant cloud as the two starts to fight

About tri-region league
It is just like the championships in hoenn and Johto but to compete you need at least 20 badges and at least 6 from each region the tournament is large as after the preliminaries there are 256 trainers who are fighting for the crown.
