Alright, these polls are just getting ridiculous now

On topic, Tetsuya was sort of meh. his only purpose was to beat Ash, and his only virtues were his pokémon and nice hair. So yeah, I think Masamune was better.

Tyson is a great guy and a worthy rival to Ash during the Hoenn League.

Tyson did what Harrison never did. Win the Hoenn League and beat Ash in a beliveable battle (although the battle was screwed up). His pokemon are awesome and his character is nice. He sort of reminds me of Kurama from Yu-Yu Hakusho.

Exactly meaning when I show pictures of Tetsuya to people at my school, their eyes bulge out like a freaked out Team Rocket.
Other than that, I couldn't give a crap about him. I think he's a little boring

He was better than Morrison.....ehh he had cool Pokemon except for that stuck up Meowth 'n Boots.... And he did prove he wasn't a total Harrison clone by actually winning the league.

I prefer Masamune over Tetsuya since he had at least a little bit more personality. Plus, I'm a sucker for wacky characters. Though, Tetsuya is still ok by me, just not exactly one I would care much for afterwards.
For example, I'd prefer Masamune to return over Tetsuya.

yeah, I thought Masamune was much better than Tetsuya. The only thing that really made Tetsuya seem the least bit interesting to me was his Nyaasu... and I guess the fact that he actually won the tournament, unlike Satoshi's previous rivals (and with that team, a championship victory is believable). Otherwise, he's kinda "meh".

I like his Meowth (hate it's voice though) but Tyson doesn't really do anything for me.

Yay for people stating your opinions before you do.

But yeah, Tyson was BLAND. At least Masamune had his ultra-competitiveness to bring to the table. Just watch, the next League rivals Ash has will include at least one bland Richie/Harrison/Tyson-type rival that has no discernable personality traits not shared by the other rivals of his type. Characters like them make me hunger for more rivals that AREN'T the same goody-goody two-shoes person in a different set of skin-hair-and-clothes.

hes a cool dude. he should reappear. He, morrison, and Ash make a great trio.

I didn't like him. To me, he was just a waste of space. He was by far one of my least favorite filler characters. I just hate how Ash always has to make friends with the person that he's going to end up battling. It's just so boring! Why can't the writers just let him and May go up against new people that they've never met before?

He's cool. He has Antonio Banderas Meowth.

 

[Anikin]

I love the character Tyson. He has surprised me when he first came in with his unique Pokemon, he is cool looking and he is a fierce fighter and brought back a lot of excitement that was kind of lost after the battle Ash had with Harrison.

 

[Pikachu]

Tyson is ok, he is a good trainer and I like his personality. That and his pokemon are great.

Some people tend to compare him to Morrison and like Morrison better. I like Tyson better. Why? Because Morrison is loser. He is very very annoying, most of his pokemon are shown weak (half of his lineup fall to Ash's Corphish, and Glalie gets to defeat Metang with only using Ice attacks), and is even more bland than anyone in the show. Morrison serves only to replace Gary, who left. I hate Morrison with a passion. His bad name and dub voice contribute to his already bad character.
