UK Trading and Link Battles Thread

i'm sure i'm not the only one who frequents these boards who feels like the only way of being able to complete their dex would be to have two GBAs and a copy of each of the games. and this feels especially bad being a UK resident, where there are no real promotional tours or anything like that asides from that hunt for deoxys thing last year, which unfortunately for me was the event that got me back into the games so i didn't take advantage of it.

basically, long story short, i'd like to, if possible, arrange to meet up to trade and/or have link battles. i'm in london, and ideally i'd like to find someone with firered to get growlithe/ekans/wooper/etc. or an emerald player to get all the other johto pokemon. i'm afraid i don't have anything other than my own version exclusives to trade, but i'm hoping that for some of you that would be enough.

thinking about it one of the main things i'd want would be the EV reducing berries in Emerald - i doubt there are many people who've grown loads of those and would be willing to help me start EV training properly so i may just have to suck it up and buy that game. but i refuse to buy firered, i really don't want to have to play through the Kanto storyline *again*. three times is more than enough.
